  1. Could make some ££ from that if they did a PPV. I’m missing boxing as well actually How will that work here? Are we still not allowed to drive to places outwith a few miles away?
  2. I could have called that from the minute places were ordered to shut. We’ll have the biggest unemployment rate for decades soon enough as well
  3. Sturgeon says lockdown will continue for 3 weeks here (but things may change next week, or the week after). What happens in regards to furlough in Scotland if Boris announces on Monday that certain places can reopen?
  4. I assume when they say cemeteries they mean for funeral services? The cemeteries here have been open for visitors fans at football in Oct, yes please also still no word on barbers. Fs
  5. Kelly thanking the Ayr fans on Twitter. Judging by the tweet it looks like he isn’t coming back here next season, sadly
  6. Hmm odd. What sort of measures do you think he’ll relax? How very dare you! I’m not one of those vegetarians at all 12 years without chicken
  7. I haven’t been in to watch the news today, what’s all this about lockdown being eased from Monday?
  8. Even more so the junior league or whatever they’re calling themselves these days. What happened to the original rhetoric we had of “no crowds over 500”, this was never because over 500 would mean more corona, it was because it would take emergency services away from hospitals etc, despite most lower league grounds using volunteers or St Andrews ambulances
  9. It’s good they supply that but do they take into account dietary requirements? I’m vegetarian so a lot of that would be wasted on me. Surely is not just the under 65’s that are vegetarian
  10. That’s if they have a job to go back to, places like pubs, gig venues, sports etc won’t be back before the furlough scheme is decreased and maybe even ended I’d agree with that, although I struggle to see that they’ll allow nail bars/beauty therapists and barbers to reopen by then, unless they’re able to source a ton of PPE
  11. That made a lot of sense. Thanks for taking the time to post that. It’s appreciated
  12. Today I set off on a hill walk and ended up doing 13 miles as I took a wrong turning. I’ve came home and ate like a pig, so swings and roundabouts!
  13. It’s not just restricting socialising for a few weeks. It’s the fact thousands of people are going to have no jobs. It’s the fact that some pubs/restaurants may never open back up again on an already struggling high street. It’s the fact that things like sports that give us something to look forward to may not happen in front of crowds for months yet. It’s the fact some clubs may go to the wall. I’m able to look at the bigger picture than just accept lockdown and restrictions for months on end
  14. They could never sustain 80% for months and months. I worry for people in the pub and restaurant industry who are likely to be the last ones to reopen. Looks like they’ll have to go onto Universal Credit and hope they still have a job to return to
  15. Exactly. Yet the whole country has had to stop for it. The economy could take years to return to how it was which means job loses and all the things that go along with that (depression, financial hardship etc). To steal from Corbyn, this whole situation was to benefit the few, not the many
  16. Same here. It looks awful. No idea why they can’t cut the grass when the council “boys” are still out and about My mum can’t record anything off the TV, or work a mobile phone. I’ve shown her numerous times. Good luck to whoever I sent going to teach her on a crash course
  17. I don’t think it will ever be law. What are they going to do, give every older person who doesn’t own a phone a crash course in how to work them? The whole thing is nonsense
  18. That’s surprising. The last day of Jan my Dad was in hospital and they thought he had “flu” as well as his lung issue. My mum and I had to wear all the PPE gear and a few hours later they said it wasn’t flu. They didn’t mention any tests for Covid which with hindsight is perplexing as he showed all the symptoms
  19. When were people first tested in the UK for suspected Coronavirus?
  20. Because the media haven’t told them that. Seems too many people on here can’t think outside the box and blindly accept what they’re told. Its believed to have been in Wuhan in Nov. There is absolutely nothing to say it wasn’t in the UK in Jan considering the amount of travel to and from China to/from the UK
  21. Today I started on Vitamin D tablets, and I’ve started taking St Johns Wort again. Hopefully they’ll help
