  1. Similar on my neighbours. They’re early 70’s and in good health. Their grandson (mid 20’s) comes around every other night and they all sit in the garden chatting for half an hour or so. More acceptable than the junkie over the other side who had a “pal” in the house earlier, and now they’ve went out somewhere
  2. Why would they have to keep furloughing wages? Italy aren't. Well if the lockdown was to continue beyond June, they’d have to pay people in some way. If its wasn’t through the furlough scheme then it would be through Universal Credit. Just because Italy is or isn’t doing something doesn’t mean we’d be the same
  3. Anyone who can see the lockdown lasting 2+ months longer is deluded. Where the hell would the Govt get the money to pay all the Universal Credit, Furloughed wages etc. Already they must have given out a ton (plus the grants that small businesses will get).
  4. As for the AUMedia POTY, I voted for Harvie. Doohan has been a bomb scare at times after being so reliable last season, and Doc? don’t make me laugh, average at best. Doubt he’ll be waltzing away with the award on his way up to Thistle
  5. I had a look at your work, it’s very good, but one thing - you should put a huge watermark on it to stop radges printing them off for free
  6. Hairdressers are working in such close proximity to people, I honestly thought they’d be one of the last places to be given the go ahead to open! “sports venues”? Surely not! There’s to be no sports played in front of crowds until 2021 don’t you know
  7. I find it laughable that people say the lockdown of schools/pubs/restaurants/sports etc should have been done sooner. What difference would it have made when we’re STILL allowing flights into the UK and not testing or putting passengers in quarantine? A guy in my Aunts street returned from India last week and wasn’t tested or anything. It’s ridiculous. Flights should have been one of the first things “shut”, or at least people on them put in isolation. Yet everyone gets their knickers in a twist about the family down the road driving a short distance to a park to have some exercise
  8. The club wouldn’t be forcing supporters into the ground with a cattle prod. If people want to take the risk of catching it or passing it onto a vulnerable family member then that would be their choice. Seems we’re the only ones who can see the bigger picture in all of this.
  9. I think at Somerset we’d be able to social distance and be the 2metres apart fairly easily! Obviously stand patrons would be a bit more problematic in terms of distancing, but I’d have no qualms about leaving my seat in the stand and going to the Railway end to watch games.
  10. I think if they scrapped the upcoming league season, it would be scaremongering at its finest. It’s not even “too bad” in Scotland. Yes people have lost their lives and that’s tragic, but very few of those have been people who weren’t elderly or ill already. I feel too many people are accepting this nanny state that’s happening now, rather than thinking of the wider picture, eg the economy and business (football) potentially going bust
  11. Sadly not just “old men”, my Dad had pneumonia in Oct a snow it never fully cleared and he died in Feb aged 65.
  12. Jeez, sorry to hear all that happened in a short space of time. You must be mentally very strong to have got through it and to be here and happy. I do want to have a happy life and enjoy things again, I certainly don’t think world circumstances are helping my low mood any. I just need a “break”, and sadly bit the enforced kind like a break from work as I’m climbing the walls already
  13. My Dad died first week of Feb with symptoms very similar to covid. They made my Mum and I wear gowns, face masks and rubber gloves to go in and see him. I thought this was very odd as they’d already told us he wasn’t going to live any longer than a day
  14. It may be the first reported death in the UK was the 5th March but I believe it was way before that. The main man, Dr Hilary, said yesterday that coronavirus was first in the UK at the end of Jan, I refuse to believe it was 5 weeks from then until the first death
  15. Surely clubs are expecting to play games with crowds if they’re announcing season tickets being on sale? Some rockets don’t believe games will be played in front of fans until 2021 at the earliest
  16. I happened to be up a hill “in” town when it was 8pm, it’s a decent sized hill and I could still hear horns and pots and pans being hit. Wonder if it can be heard in space...
  17. It’s all well and good extending the lockdown, but what’s the point when flights are still arriving in the UK with passengers who aren’t being tested or having to self isolate once they’re here. Seems stupid
  18. Some Welsh talking head was on the news saying mass gatherings should/could be banned for a year. He failed to mention how many people constitute a “mass”.
  19. I was speaking to a nurse who works at one of the Ayrshire hospitals a few weeks back, she said this wasn’t a virus but rather “germ warfare” (her words)
  20. I’ve been having few bad days, to go with a few bad months. Been really teary, missing my Dad and knowing my love of football won’t ever be the same again without him to chat to about it. It’s my birthday soon and my first without him, and I keep thinking back to previous birthdays my ex and I spent together. I’m missing her too, despite her being a bitch. I’m also anxious about my Mum passing away, as when she goes I’ll have nobody to live for. Depression and anxiety together is terrible
  21. I haven’t got around to watching the “behind the scenes” videos yet, are they decent or David Brent-esque?
  22. I wanted Thistle to get relegated because of McCall leaving to go there and thinking he’d be the messiah that saved them. I truly believe though that had the league played out in the way it should have, that you guys would have escaped relegation and maybe even the play off place altogether. Very harsh on you and you’ve a right to be aggrieved with having played a game less than QOS and only being two points behind them.
