  1. What do we think will be the first things to get eased? Surely allowing people to see family members again? I also hope being allowed to travel outwith your town. Oh and I want the barbers open again asap as my hair is a riot
  2. I don’t get it either. Maybe we’re too dense in Ayrshire
  3. Cheers for that. If he starts quoting £100+ I’ll tell him he’s at it. I’d probably have never noticed the problem part in the pic I posted, but my wheels were turned outwards when I was stationary and I spotted it straight away. Maybe it was fate !
  4. The mechanic got back to me and said that the end bit has broken off it, so that’s likely to be the cause of the problems. Cheers for the help guys. It’s getting fixed on Thur...no mention of potential costs though!
  5. Cheers for that. I just messaged some random mechanic and I’ve sent him the same pic I posted here. Hopefully I’ll get it seen to soon and it won’t cost hundreds!
  6. Would there be any tell tale signs to look for if my suspension was gone too? I had a look under the car and everything seems to look ok there’s (nothing hanging down or anything)
  7. Thanks. Would that cause a noise when I get out the car though? I’m not that fat (12 stone), but every time I get out the car it creeks
  8. Cheers guys. I thought because it was still connected at one part that it would be ok to drive for now. The kicker is, the local garages are shut right now. It was worrying me that it woulda be a big repair job and cost hundreds
  9. If only! It’s been like this for about 2 months now
  10. I think the silver “cable” type but is attached to something. As you can tell I’m not good with car troubles
  11. I'm still driving with my car rattling over bumps on the road and when I turn right. Theres a shuddering noise and it's a rough ride! Anyone know if this is anything to be concerned about (pic below)
  12. Heard from my mate that hairdressers/barbers could potentially be shut for 6 months. His wife owns one so is worried in case this is true. How will that work for the staff she employs if the furlough scene is only in place until June? Same with pubs and their staff. Will it be extended or will they just have to go onto Universal Credit?
  13. One of the nurses I know from Ayr Hospital posted a video of the clap last week and got absolutely slaughtered for how social distancing was lacking!
  14. I watched the 10 o clock news on STV, is that Robert Peston always like that? Was he drunk? Is he a bit mentally handicapped? It was annoying to watch and listen to him
  15. Two lorries were going through town at 8pm and peeped the horn continually for about 2 mins until they were out of town. I also noticed two new households out clapping tonight.
  16. I think he’d be decent with a bottom 6 team or Livi. I hope we get him back, but there might not even be a “next season” in 20/21
  17. I don’t know how many lower league clubs would be able to survive if the season is a write off
  18. He won’t get an extended run in the team imo. He’ll maybe play preseason friendlies (if they happen), but he won’t be thrown into league games when they’re trying to stop 10IAR. Folk said Rudden, McPake, Dallas etc would get games for them and they were punted to lower league teams. Sadly for Kelly I can see the same happening to him, but happily for us that may be a good thing
  19. As if Thursdays couldn’t get cringe enough, tonight we have the “Big night in” on BBC with so called comedians and what I imagine to be a lot of patronising and lovvie behaviour. Then any 8 we have the clap. I also saw people want folk to clap and sing Happy Birthday to the old guy at 8.05. Just naw
  20. People I know! The types that post on FB “repost this if you’ve seen stayed in your home all weekend”, or looking out at neighbours who dare to go out twice a day instead of once
  21. Surely the grants are means tested? My mates wife has a hair salon. She only has to pay wages for two girls as the other’s are “hiring a chair”. I’m not sure she’d get anywhere near £10k
  22. Hearing social distancing is likely to be in place the rest of the year is a bit shit for me. I work in the events industry doing various things so no work for potentially months/a year is sobering. It’s hard enough suffering from depression without having something to “get up and go” for. Throw in the fact I live in a small Ayrshire town with feck all to do apart from be alone with my thoughts. Without being all woe is me, in the last 7 months I’ve had a long term relationship end, my Dad dying and now no job. It’s a lot to go through. Maybe people should think about people like me who are struggling before they blindly agree with lockdown measures lasting months and it impacting on so many businesses, jobs, and mental health
  23. Yet another day of Sturgeon being asked and answering the same questions. Also she said some forms of social distancing to be in place for the rest of year. Yet I’m sure Silverburn and Braehead will be heaving when the shops open back up again
  24. At least he has some form of integrity and principle
