  1. In 2023 that could just about be any of the Hebridean islands or Arran.
  2. We still got lucky when the ball hit Murray after it rebounded off the post - it could have gone anywhere.
  3. From where I was sitting, I didn't think at the time Dabrowski touched it, and was therefore surprised at folk talking about his wonder save in the first half.
  4. The only rival to that is Barry Ferguson when he was at Alloa. He never did post-match interviews as he had to leave the ground early to do a Rangers podcast.
  5. There's a good picture in today's Courier which shows Dick clearly having his jersey pulled by the Hibs player as he attempts to clear the ball. This must have had an influence on the trajectory of his leg as he stretches.
  6. Poorly defended corner, but not sure Dabrowski is ever getting to that
  7. I was sitting right behind the net and Marshall was nowhere near it.
  8. It wasn't the most exhilarating game, but it was a nice change to see two teams actually try to play a bit of football after being subjected to that gang last week. Thought we were the better team from 15 minutes in until half time, but the old cliché about having to score when you're on top in these games came back to bite us on the bahookie.
  9. There's a guy called Willie Kirk on fantalk with a ticket for sale. His details are on the match thread.
  10. Two thirds of Easter Road's capacity is around 13500. I'd be pleasantly amazed if the crowd is even close to that tomorrow. I was reckoning on about 8/8500.
  11. Managers tend to have a shelf life at a particular club and wasn't it the case that Young had come to the end of his at Bayview and a parting of the ways was in everyone's interests?
  12. On the other hand, if any of their players were sent off in the league cup last season, they'd be out for Sunday.
  13. Other than Smith, I don't think anyone really got above 6/10 last week, given the nature of the game, but one wee moment of brilliance from Easton unlocked their defence for the opener.
  14. I'm torn between Ryan Hardie and Kevin Smith. Smith's goals in 2008/09 went a long way to helping us clinch the Seaside League title that season.
  15. Eric Drysdale doesn't seem to ever have much luck when it comes to phoning people to clear up misunderstandings. Remember how many phone calls he made to the SPFL to clear up the rules on signing emergency goalkeepers?
  16. Did the announcer not get disciplined by the board for playing "I think you'd better leave right now" as Anelka was walking down the track after yet another debacle?
  17. After watching the Wolves penalty claim tonight, anyone who thinks VAR would be guaranteed to arrive at the correct decision is deluded.
  18. I stuck on my Live at the NEC LP seconds after the final whistle in the 5-1 game v the Pars and I'm sure folk in West Wemyss would have heard it.
  19. It's a tricky one. I can see the point about the roar of the crowd, but think how sterile the likes of Falkirk TV would have been over the years without their commentators going into a meltdown every time an opposition goal hit the net.
  20. The guys who did it during the lockdown season were excellent, but moved on and the guys who replaced them were nowhere near the same calibre. The female summariser on Ayr United's channel is also very good.
