  1. Neither team can buy a win right now. A drab draw, St Johnstone to win, then both sets of fans off to the Bobbin to lament on how shite their team is.
  2. If Dundee sat back under instruction from McGhee then it's proof that he should not be given the job next season. The goal came from Sweeney picking the ball up then losing it as he had no one to pass to due to being the furthest person forward, the fucking centre back! Instead of a counter attack Dundee ended up defending two corners, barely survived the first one but conceded on the second.
  3. A few decent performances from some players but still not enough. Dundee are the worst team in the league and will deservedly be relegated.
  4. That dive was so embarrassing it's knocked Adam's confidence. He's been shocking ever since.
  5. Dundee were ripping St Johnstone apart down the right flank for the first 25 minutes, Saints are dealing with it much better now though.
  6. There were around three easy passes there, no idea why he tried to run with it.
  7. I agree that those three teams would be the most successful overall, I just don't think they would "dominate" which to me suggests winning the league every year and the cup most years like we see now with the OF. I imagine the gap would be quite similar to what we see now, Hearts, Hibs and Aberdeen usually near the top of the table but never more than a bad season away from a bottom half finish or even relegation. And always with the chance of one of the better run, smaller teams having a good season finishing above them like we've seen with Motherwell and Kilmarnock recently.
  8. Over a 30 year period, those three would probably scoop the most trophies. But it wouldn't be the case right now where one of the OF win the league every season and both of the cups most seasons. Since 2000 only Rangers or Celtic have won the league, but we've had 7 different teams finish as "best of the rest". Teams like Motherwell and Kilmarnock could feasibly catch Hearts and Aberdeen, we've seen it happen, they have absolutely no chance of catching the OF.
  9. The new Doctor Strange trailer has nothing on this!
  10. To answer the original question: Yes, frequently. The domestic game would take an enormous financial hit, there would be no interest in a tv deal and the top tier clubs would lose out on their away grounds being filled multiple times a season, but clubs would adjust. What would be left would be an unglamorous and financially poor league, but a highly competitive one. I personally don't give a f**k about European football or whether some pub in England has a Scottish game on it's tv, so I'm all for it. I'm also curious to see how Rangers and Celtic would get on in the English Premiership or a European Super League.
  11. Slim pickings this season. Dundee can't seem to win a game without Adam so he would be the obvious choice but he's been missing for most of this season. Probably McMullen because 7 assists and 1 goal is all it takes to elevate you above the rest of the dross.
  12. The logo looks a lot like the RAF logo, the guys who bombed f**k out of the Nazis. Surely they're in the clear now? P.S I can't even pretend to take this discussion seriously.
  13. I disagree. Number of saves is not a good indicator of the quality of a goalkeeper, save percentage is. For example, there have been 117 shots against Legzdins and he has saved 80 of them. There have been 50 shots against Joe Hart and he has saved 36 of them. Legzdins has more saves but he only saves 68.4% of shots against him while Joe Hart has less saves but stops 72% of shots. Who really is the better keeper then?
  14. Legzdins makes more saves because teams get more shots against Dundee, his save percentage is 12th out of the 13 keepers to play at least 10 games this season. Only Joe Lewis has let a higher percentage of shots go past him. Of those 13 keepers, Legzdins has the worst stat on goals conceded per 90 meaning Legzdins picks the ball out of his net more times per match than any of the regular starters in the league. Dundee have certainly had worse, but there is nothing to indicate Legzdins is a good goal keeper at this level.
  15. Gutted but sounds like it would have been a totally undeserved point.
  16. Completely changing the defensive formation while throwing in McGhee (who hasn't played CB in ages) and Rossi (who's played about 3 games for Dundee) is madness and it's no surprise they all stood around not knowing whose job it was to do what for the goals.
  17. Stuck with McGhee until the end of the season but hopefully this formation is chucked in the bin never to be seen again.
  18. McGhee has somehow managed to make a terrible defence even worse.
  19. Here's the rule: "Except for the above offences, it is not an offence if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm: directly from the player’s own head or body (including the foot)" You might think it's a bullshit rule but those are the rules refs have to work with.
  20. Yes. Disappointed the ref never gave it but by the letter of the law it's not a penalty so can't be too upset.
  21. The full match is going to be aired tonight on BBC Alba at 22:00 since that's the earliest you're allowed to air snuff films.
  22. Congrats to County. After looking utterly guff at the start of the season that should see you clear of the relegation spots. Dundee on the other hand are now a lock for either automatic relegation or the playoff.
