Finiesta adds a calmness and composure to centre midfield that you wouldn't expect from such a young player. His passing and ball control is top notch. He's not a particularly quick or aggressive player and I don't recall him being in among the goals a lot, he's the kind of player you have in your side when you want to dominate possession and control the centre of the pitch. A very Hartley type of player, but a good one. Glad to hear he's away on loan, needs more game time to progress.

The Derby was grim viewing. Without Adam and with McGowan playing higher up on the wing there was no one in midfield who could actually move the ball around effectively in the middle of the park. This forced Dundee to either hoof it long(where it came right back at them) or go wide which they tried without any real urgency, it also didn't help that McMullan had an uncharacteristically bad performance. Between that and the Livi game where Dundee were also either too slow or too reliant on long balls, I don't think this formation is going to work without Adam.

Got to see Dundee without Adam and McMullen and I didn't like what I saw. Completely without pace or creativity. One of the worst games i've witnessed.

That was a difficult watch. Dundee need to do something as Livi would probably take a stodgy 0-0 away from home.
