  1. How much do you think Burke misses Lafferty right now? *Insert Wolverine photo meme*
  2. Ayr should have had a penalty. After watching the Euros, returning to Scottish refs is a crushing let down.
  3. Ayr defense is holding up well under pressure but surely Burke will deliver the killer ball eventually at this rate.
  4. I know Ross Country will be at Dingwall but what determines the other away fixture?
  5. Hearts - The goal was was to win the league and they did it at a canter. Mission accomplished but a few bad results and turgid performances take the shine off an otherwise successful league campaign. 7.5/10 Dundee - With Hearts in the league the goal was always going to be a play-off spot and hopefully promotion. A few bad spells over the course of the season but they hit form at the crucial moment and got promoted. 8/10 Raith Rovers - The aim would have been to steer clear of relegation, they overachieved and for a while they looked like the second best team in the Championship and played some great football. Finishing 3rd, never in any danger of relegation, is a great accomplishment for a newly promoted team. 7.5/10 Dunfermline - Big things were expected of them this season and they looked strong for a while. A very poor finish to the end of the season, losing the play offs and their status as Fife's best team is a sore one though. 6.5/10 ICT - A tight budget meant this was going to be a challenging season and they looked pretty atrocious for large spells of the season. A purple patch meant they ended up mounting a decent push for the play off spots but were never really in serious contention. 5/10 QotS - Looked abysmal at the start of the season but a great run of form had them on the cusp of the play off spots. They faltered in the end but can take some solace in the fact they don't look entirely doomed in a post-Dobbie era. 5.5/10 Arbroath - A part time team in the Championship's goal will always be to avoid relegation and Arbroath delivered albeit probably not as comfortably as they would have liked. 6.5/10 Ayr United - After two seasons of challenging around the play off spots, to be dragged in to a relegation scrap is a massive step backwards. No one declined more than Ayr this season. 4/10 Greenock Morton - The goal would have been to stay in the Championship on a shoe string budget in preparation for the fan takeover of the club and they did it by the skin of their teeth. 22 goals in 27 games is abysmal but comfortably sweeping aside Airdrie in the play off was at least a positive ending to a pretty poor season. 4.5/10 Alloa - Finishing bottom is bad no matter how to look at it but avoiding the drop was always going to be difficult for a part time team. 4/10
  6. Brilliant from Dundee, by far the better team across both legs. I was worried about Killie's firepower upfront but the defence did a great job keeping them quiet. All Dundee had to do then was get at Kilmarnock and test their defence and wow did they fail that test, I've watched some shitey defences in the Championship but Killie are possibly the worst I've seen this season. Great performance from top to bottom, I've been a big critic of Mullen but he was excellent yesterday, constantly harassed Kilmarnock's back line and took his goal well. Ashcroft has grown in to everything you want from a centre back, a no nonsense defender who headers and blocks everything and a real danger from set pieces. The highlight for me was McMullan, never stopped running the entire game, pinned Kilmarnock back in their own half, got the assist and sang "Derry Rhumba" at the celebrations, his time at the Dabs is now a distant memory. Fantastic.
  7. Cheers pal! Enjoy the Ayrshire derbies next season! You're welcome!
  8. This Killie defence is worse than anything I've seen in the Championship.
  9. St Johnstone just had the greatest season in their history. Rangers won the league, something they've already done 54 times in their history... Unless you consider Rangers to be an entirely new club winning their first ever league title within 10 years of being founded, in which case give the award to Gerrard.
  10. I will never fathom where McPake gets his ideas for subs from. Killie were there for the taking then Dundee let them back in it by subbing the player off occupying their left flank.
  11. That's not very flattering given the state Rangers fans have left George Square in.
  12. Dundee were nervous and panicky, they could have comfortably soaked up desperate Raith attacks and hit on the counter with a bit of composure. Instead players hid, made bad decisions and constantly gave away the ball with bad passes. It was a nervous performance and a repeat will see Dundee scudded in the final.
  13. Limped over the finish line. Killie or Ross County will easily sweep aside Dundee if they play like that though.
  14. FFS when did Mendy stop being a dumpling and become a rock solid defender?
  15. Miles onside. Hope Dundee got a shock from that, Elliot left loads of space and his side has been targetted all game.
  16. Never a pen and never a red. Shite defending to end up in that situation though.
  17. Awwww Kane's getting the credit.
