  1. The SPFL probably ruled (and I'm trying not to sound "crowd wanky" about this, good on all the QP fans that support their team) that it's unreasonable for a club that has averaged around 500 fans this season to sit on a 2000 ticket allocation when there was strong demand from the visitors. The Celtic situation is entirely hypothetical, they will have been aware of this rule for years now and it's never caused a problem. It absolutely is not "petty" for a club to campaign for their fans and get more supporters in for a crucial game. That's a ridiculous take.
  2. It doesn't meet the SPFL rules. That's the point. The two sides need to agree to the allocation, if they don't, the SPFL board intervenes.
  3. Rangers and Celtic mutually agreed to admit only home fans to OF games. The SPFL didn't intervene because neither of them raised the issue, they agreed to it. There is a rule that requires clubs to a allow a reasonable number of away fans, if the two clubs can't agree to this number, the SPFL board intervenes.
  4. Do the viewing figures really support this model? Do more people really tune in for an OF dead rubber and perfunctory win than a European or relegation battle with some actual stakes?
  5. I'll be glued to BBC Alba when ICT take on Caernarfon Town in the Challenge Cup next season.
  6. Half the team is either on loan or out of contract in the summer, the squad will look completely different and will be rebuilt on a Premiership budget. The team might be much stronger, could also be worse. Absolutely no way of knowing.
  7. If Dundee beat Cove and QP beat Morton the next day then it comes down to the last game with Dundee one point ahead.
  8. When Akinyemi has a stinker (like that) Ayr look like they can play for days and still not score.
  9. To be fair to both sets of attackers there has been some really important blocks from the defenders in this game.
  10. Would take something ridiculous like Cove scoring two worldie overhead kicks in a single game, but that would never happen!
  11. Last time Morton took a one goal lead they completely stifled Dundee and saw the game out. Probably be the same here.
  12. Nope. Just on at this time as Ochilview is booked tomorrow.
  13. Oh well. The sequel is never as good as the original anyway.
  14. 8 losses in a row between the big Edinburgh clubs. The fucks happening in Auld Reekie?
  15. Both sides getting plenty of practice at throw ins anyway.
  16. I've watched just about every Friday night Championship game and I've definitely seen worse to be fair.
  17. Both sides looking nervous which has resulted in some utterly dreadful passing.
  18. Showing solidarity with the Jags with the finest craft IPAs Glasgow Kelvin has to offer.
  19. Probably the best Dundee performance I have witnessed, 7 goals and could easily have been double digits. Cameron is obviously getting the plaudits but there were plenty of great performances. In addition to his goal, Sweeney won absolutely every header and squashed what little attacking play Hamilton had. Hannat, who I have been thoroughly unimpressed with so far was excellent in this match and showed the composure and creativity Dundee have been lacking recently with his two assists. I have had my doubts about Mulligan at RB but his driving runs got Dundee up the park and absolutely spooked the Hamilton team. He'll face tougher challenges than a woeful Accies side but showed that he does have potential in this position. Jakubiak is a nightmare to defend against and should have been starting ages ago. Despite his dip in form McMullan continues to be Dundee's assist King and is now joint top on assists in the Championship. In addition to the three points and massive goal difference swing, 7-0 is the kind of results that puts the fear in teams and makes them play more cautiously, exactly what Dundee need in the final run of the season.
  20. 4-0 and could be more, Dundee excellent and battering Accies.
  21. Really need to be picking up points but Dundee probably have the easier run of fixtures now compared to Queens Park. If Dundee can stay within touching distance we can go in to the final fixture fairly confident as Dundee have had Queen's Park number this season, 3 wins an 1 draw.
  22. If Falkirk beat ICT they will have made it to the final without facing a single Premiership team.
