  1. I imagine that never even occurred to the club. If only there was a visionary like you on the board. Or it did, and Society was a better fit. Who knows?
  2. "Defo" wasn't. It was the guy from St Johnstone mentioned earlier.
  3. Aye, I reckon that's him. Bobby Barr has just had a falling out with some walloper in the stand.
  4. I've had a mind blank. Who was the young left back we sold to Hibs? Is there any chance he's playing for City tonight? 26 looks familiar.
  5. Great shout, that's the boy. Basic error from Davidson for the goal (last man, let the ball run under his foot) but this is your annual reminder that the only people who get worked up about pre-season friendlies are friendless oddballs and goggle-eyed miscreants.
  6. He's definitely called Connor, but Connor Pepper is the blondest man in the world, so it's almost certainly not him. Anyway, he's been subbed. Spence, Callachan and Court on at half time.
  7. McMullin is definitely the number 3. After a quick look at Google Images, I'd suggest the number 2 isn't Colquhoun. Can't find a decent photo of Rooney, but this boy looks younger than 27.
  8. Don't recognise either of the trialists, imagine they're two of the boys mentioned earlier in the thread. The left back (3) has a look of Colin Leiper about him, very gangly. The other (2) is playing left wing. Davo at centre half, Bene at right back.
  9. He might be a half decent player, but he's clearly thick as f**k.
  10. Has anyone else seen John Sim's corporate Twitter account. It's oddly fascinating. Like finding a diary on a train. A revolving cast of minor characters and minor events with absolutely no context. "Great to see Sergio back at work. We have all missed him and look forward to seeing his new hip in action."
  11. That is horrible. If we're going with that kind of approach, we'll need attacking fullbacks in the McHattie mould. Defensively, that comes with its own issues, but I can't watch another season of absolutely no service to the strikers because we're playing defensive fullbacks behind defensive wide midfielders.
  12. Having looked at this in a little more detail, my best guess would be that John Sim and Ms Suttisathiranon have bought the shares previously held by Turnbull Hutton's estate. It'd give them ~20% of the shareholding, and would explain the appointment of both to the board since the turn of the year. Edit: Hadn't factored in Sim's existing shares held through NRR Investments Ltd. It could just be that he's been appointed to the board based on that alone, but if we speculate that the above may be true, it would give Sim ~37% of the shareholding, more than anyone else, including Mario Caira who currently holds ~29% when you factor in MC Leisure Ltd's shares as well as his own.
  13. I don't know the significance but one Pattra Suttisathiranon was appointed a director of New Raith Rovers in April. Looks to be John Sim's missus. https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/SC293062/filing-history
  14. Expect we'll see the tattie sacks that the players will be wearing before we see any new players.
  15. Spence is to League One as John Baird is to the Championship. Great at this level, probably never going to cut it in the league above. I'd be delighted if he signed.
  16. On the subject of Bobby Barr, he's just retweeted this, so there's a fair chance he's mentally deficient.
  17. If we can just play fullbacks at fullback, I'll be happy. Benedictus and Davidson both defended perfectly well filling in last season, but offered us nothing going forward. The number of times we lined up with central players in wide positions was criminal, and I'd cite it as probably the biggest individual (tactical) issue of last season.
