  1. How is Gordon? On a serious note, does a fans' representative on the board not mean that there should be more transparency on issues such as this? I can't see that it's commercially sensitive or (don't laugh) going to impact on competitiveness.
  2. That would be incredible. Drysdale can't possibly survive this.
  3. It's time for real talk. Which Primary School did AJ and Jack Ross go to?
  4. I agree with Yogi. It's because our squad is full of modern players. We should've signed guys from the 1950s, like St Mirren and Hibs did.
  5. Add me to the ranks of those who'd rather not support a club that employs a rapist.
  6. The general ignorance of the rules in Scotland's professional game is as baffling as it is infuriating. Edit: That sounds like a dig against some of the previous posters, but it isn't. I mean things like Handling not knowing he can't possibly play, Locke thinking he could recall Vaughan, and (worst of all) SPFL board member Eric Drysdale not knowing the rules regarding loans and/or goalkeepers. Those are just three examples from this season, and just from one club. I don't think it'd take a huge amount of digging to find numerous other examples. It took me less than two minutes to dig out that rule about loan players and parent clubs, on Google. It's inexcusable ineptitude from "professionals".
  7. Tell you what, we've all said plenty about Rudi Skacel this season, but he's either started or been on the bench for every league game this season. Actually quite impressive for a 37 year old with his record. In related news, he's started 8 games and been booked 7 times.
  8. Can anyone remember the story around David Sinton leaving his role as chairman? I seem to remember it being in some way acrimonious, but he's just been added as a Director of Starks Park Properties Ltd.
  9. I imagine Bobby Barr's record is pretty decent, relative to the rest of the squad. His long injury lay-off coincided with Locke's horrible run.
  10. You know what makes a fortune? Bars that are open for four hour a fortnight.
  11. Why would anyone choose to sign for us, in the shitty development league, when they could sign for Dunfermline, in the proper one?
  12. Doesn't look likely that we'll be bringing anyone in before close of play tomorrow, does it?
  13. I never did get round to signing up for the Development Fund (something about being asked to sign up for it by the same man who moments before has insinuated I'm a total fud, despite him hiring the Europe's worst manager) but I'd definitely chuck £20 a month into a 'Bring Back Gregory Tade' kickstarter.
  14. What's that Raith Rovers? Your Under 20s goalkeeper has gone missing because a bridge was closed? The second choice keeper was injured in the warm-up? You're playing an outfield player in goal? Oh, Raith Rovers, you are so Raith Rovers.
  15. Another day, another diary entry for the Banter Year. Sign a player, sack the manager, immediately loan said player to said manager at a different club, before he's played a minute of football.
  16. Here's my tuppence. I'm ignoring contract length, and going on a pure keep/punt basis: Cuthbert - Definite keep. He's no Davie McGurn, but then nobody is. As good a goalkeeper as we'll get at this level, the kind of player who could be offered a three year deal without any real worries. Thomson - Maybe a controversial one, but I'd be having a real think about it. I'm not convinced there aren't better right backs out there. If we released him, would any other full time clubs be queuing up to take him on? I'm not sure. Wouldn't be at all upset to see him kept on, but I think he's on a shooglier peg than most club captains. At the very least, needs some competition next season. McHattie - I'd keep him. Again, needs competition/cover, but he's been fine. Would rather focus energy elsewhere when it comes to replacements. Callachan - Huge question mark. Willing to keep him on but he needs to decide what his game is. Clue: It's not shooting from 30 yards. M'Voto - I'd keep him like Stevo keeps goal. Desperately. Benedictus - He's good when he's not at left back. Definitely the better half of the Bene/Toshney partnership. Johnston - Not for me, Clive. Robertson - Plays less football than Douglas Bader. Didn't particularly impress me last season. Stewart - Happy to keep him, he's handy to have around the squad, but would any other team aiming for the play-offs take him? I'm not sure. Vaughan - Plays for Dumbarton, what a lark. Should still play for us, hope he will next season. B. Barr - One of the few players who has, in flashes, shown the potential to challenge M'Voto for player of the year. A definite keep. Matthews - I'm not on the hype bus with this one, sorry. More than willing to keep him on and keep giving him chances, it's the only way for a club like ours, but I can't see that he's offering anything particularly special. At best, he doesn't look out of place. Davidson - Willing to admit I'm in the minority, but I love the big fella. I'd keep him around doing whatever needs done. I'd like to see him replace Drysdale, actually. Osei - Hardly seen anything of him. Following him on Twitter has taught me what a "peng ting" is though, so there's that. Coustrain - Jo-ell. Superman's long lost Irish cousin. Looks like a real prospect in the rare occasion he's allowed to kick a fucking football for us. Lennox - Kept a clean sheet against Dunfermline despite being unable to move for the majority of the match. Had his face kicked in. He's Australian? I know nothing else about him. Utter waste of our only over 21 loan, not that that's his fault. Roberts - I don't think he's quite as bad as some are making out, but he's also not very good. Don't expect to see him after the summer. Skacel - Hahaha. McManus - Less confidence than a slack bladdered pensioner with hayfever. Looks more likely to cause a fight with a team-mate or a supporter than to actually score a goal. He'll be returned to Fleetwood where he'll promptly be released, and will return to League One in Scotland and bang in 20 before once again failing in the Championship. Thompson - Mind that goal he scored at Tannadice? Halcyon days. Don't expect to see him again. Brennan - The fifth best goalkeeper to have played for us this season. Won't play full-time football after this season. Penksa - bae Hardie - Will probably be released by Rangers. Would happily take him back, he's clearly got talent. C Barr - I really like him. If we'd had him fit all season, I don't think we'd be in quite such a shite position. Forever a gamble on fitness, but I'd be willing to give him another shot.
  17. He looks like he's fucking mental. Happy with that, tbh. If we're going down, at least let's go down in style.
