Yeah! I bet there are loads of surgeons in Scotland who were totally ready to do it, but the club decided to use the one in Leicester just to... Eh... Oh wait, don't be so fucking ridiculous.

Not really a farce, is it? Club has finite funds. Club decides to spend some. Before that happens, a cost occurs. No further funds available. Hardly Fawlty Towers.

I absolutely hate it when we play without proper fullbacks at fullback. I know it can't be helped, but it's a deceptively specialist position. Guys who are filling in rarely strike the balance between defence and attack. Hopefully this season we've got enough up front for the guys to create and finish their own chances, but it totally killed us last season, and the season before that.

Comfortable. Minor downsides being the booking that Benedictus picked up in the last minute, for a totally innocuous challenge, and that Lennox finished the game holding his groin. Hopefully nothing major. Pleased for Osei to get his goal. Took it really well. Won't find many right backs slower than that though!

James Berry is having a difficult night. Murray has been fine from a purely defensive point of view, but his use of the ball has been miserable.

I briefly saw a Jason Thomson goal flash last night. I'm all for it, it looked more "professional" than a lot of stuff we see from the club, and it seems a little tongue in cheek. Thomson had a mild look of surprise on his face. I reserve the right to change my mind, though. I'm sure I'll be fed up of them once I've seen Spency's for the thirtieth time...

Confirmation in today's paper that Callachan is the new permanent captain, taking over from Thomson. Interesting change in dynamic, will just have to see how it plays out.
