Let's not be silly now, John McGlynn is lightyears ahead of Barry Smith.

Defences had cracked his code after a couple of appearances, which limited his effectiveness. Clearly still an excellent winger at this level, and we will miss him. I'm interested to see what route McGlynn goes down to replace him.

It was £22 to get into Easter Road yesterday. Elgin played hardball when it came to agreeing the gate price. Hopefully the Rovers are a wee bit more accommodating, and a decent number of folk are encouraged to turn out for both sides.

I disagree that he's made no difference. At times we look more cohesive than we ever did under Smith. There's a clear strategy in place, but it's being undermined by several things, and injuries are probably top of that list. McGlynn has already improved massively on Smith's squad, in terms of balance more than anything else. Let's see what further improvement January brings, although it definitely may already be too late.
