  1. Nat Wedderburn strikes me as the kind of player who mirrors the team he's in. He'd look excellent in an excellent side, but struggles when the chips are down.
  2. I'm fully on board with this, just to hear the South Stand singing The Fall.
  3. Grant Anderson occasionally does stuff like this. Is there not a romantic amongst you!?
  4. Re-signing Grant Anderson would paper over some other huge cracks in squad-building. I'm a shameless nostalgist and I don't care who knows it.
  5. Everyone else seems very invested in the fortunes of Raith Rovers Football Club. The only show (that's still) in town.
  6. See instead of apologising for your opinions, maybe just try having better opinions?
  7. The one I saw retweeted was Jean-Yves Mvoto. He won player of the year in his only season with us, FFS!
  8. There seems to be a direct correlation between an individual's grasp of the English language and their faith in John McGlynn. I'm not saying it means anything in particular, but it's noteworthy.
  9. By my count, we have 17 full-time, contracted, senior players. Four of them are out with injuries that require surgery. Ridiculous.
  10. I haven't been paying as much attention as I should've recently... What's happened to Tony Dingwall?
  11. Across both divisions, all eight? nine? of the possible teams in the playoffs have one thing in common. On any given day, they can be really quite excellent, or utterly abysmal. Will it be the Falkirk who, with ten men, thumped Queen of the South 3-0 or the Falkirk who were lucky to get 2 when they shipped 4 to Dunfermline? The Forfar that lost 4-0 to Brechin, or that put 3 past East Fife? The Rovers who beat Dunfermline, or the Rovers that lost to Cowdenbeath? These playoffs are going to be a series of coin-flips. A collection of games settled more by happenstance and good fortune than by skill or endeavour. Do ya feel lucky, punks?
  12. McGlynn has never been one to dig out his players in public. It leads to some pretty mental headlines, but that's who he is. I'd expect Gillespie at right back, with Murray in the middle alongside Davo (if available) or McKay. If Davidson isn't fit, and McKay still can't get into the team... it's probably because he's not very good.
  13. The epitome of a Youth Academy footballer. Looks tidy when he's got loads of time, but goes to pieces as soon as there's any pressure. Rangers graduates do seem particularly prone to it. Ultimately its playing in games like today that should fix that side of his game, but that only benefits Rangers. He's not ready to have a meaningful impact in senior football.
  14. Ross Matthews has shown absolutely nothing, this season or last, to suggest he's good enough to play at this level.
