  1. "We had difficulties speaking to someone from the SPFL" - If only there had been a board member around.
  2. "David Bates is a lifelong Rangers supporter". Can't stand in the boy's way, eh?
  3. "The only interest came from Dumbarton" re: Lewis Vaughan. Yeah, nobody in League One wanted a player of his calibre. "We weren't planning on getting relegated" - Well, I'd fucking hope not, but you didn't exactly help yourselves.
  4. "We should have controlled [Gary Locke's] recruitment" Or hired a competent manager.
  5. "I do not think the appointment of Gary Locke was a mistake." WHAT
  6. Looking forward to the reactions "as they happen" here. Gary Locke was a unanimous first choice by "the panel" that selected the manager.
  7. There are tambourines that are harder to beat than Locke's Rovers side.
  8. I don't think anyone is doubting his motives - just his competence.
  9. It's common practice under this sort of 'corporate lease' for the maintenance of the property to fall on the tenant. That said, I think we could all pool our knowledge of John Sim and it'd fill a moderately sized teacup. That doesn't necessarily make him a bad man, but it doesn't inspire confidence either. If he really is looking to increase his already substantial influence, I'd like more transparency.
  10. John McGlynn always had one random Spanish punter hanging about the squad. For that reason, he gets my vote.
  11. Hang on... All players released? Need to build a whole new squad? Part time?
  12. Just bumping this because it's undoubtedly one of the highlights of the season. "A person close to the transaction"
  13. I don't think it's beyond the realms of possibility to suggest that the board have neglected to include relegation pay-cuts in the players' contracts. It'd be negligent, but hey, it's Raith Rovers. If the board were competent, we wouldn't be fucking relegated. Even allowing for that, however, it would still be madness to empty the entire squad within hours of a play-off defeat. There are players there who could be moved on for very modest fees or sell-on clauses, and more importantly, who could drag us back out of League One. I can't begin to understand the logic, I can only assume it's a misplaced rumour. That said, nothing about this club surprises me anymore.
  14. Releasing the contracted players would be unthinkable if it didn't tie in so fucking perfectly with every other decision made by Raith Rovers Football Club this season.
  15. Does anyone know if Vaughan is available tomorrow? No, but seriously, is Handling? Was that a 93 day loan that has now expired?
  16. Bobby Barr gets the Players' award. Does that feel like a message?
  17. I believe the rules regarding minimum pricing and the non-use of season tickets apply to the Premiership Play-offs only, because the SPFL take a fair whack of the gate receipts and use them to fund the next season's parachute payments.
  18. Until the community group finds that one of their influential members is now part of a rival community group in Kinross, and his place has been taken by a pensioner who's about to move to Troon.
  19. My season ticket has been devalued by quite a few factors this season. Everyone else getting into the Ayr Utd game for a fiver isn't one of them.
  20. Feel for the guy who sponsored Scott Robertson's jersey this season. The boy's just scribbled on a brand new top!
  21. Strips are a bit bland, but I thought the wee promo video was excellent. Kudos to whoever put that together.
