Aye, was thinking along those lines. Basically pick the team for the Tuesday night against Clyde (which may well be the team that started at Dumbarton) and then slot in any fit players who're needing game time in against BSC.
It doesn't really have any bearing on how seriously you're treating it though. The only advantage would be if the interviewer had the idea that people who wear suits are serious and people who don't aren't. And I think that's generally not a commonly held view anymore outside of a certain set of professions or industries.
Why?
I haven't worn a suit to an interview in ages. I'd imagine it's probably best to wear whatever the norm for the company is. If I was doing an internal interview and some guy had been wearing jeans for the last 2 years and and suddenly comes in wearing a suit, I'd think that was a bit weird.
Aye. I came away from Dumbarton thinking Denholm had a brilliant game but it took watching the highlights to realise how much he was involved in creating. Incredible performance.
With Liam Watt also having a great game and scoring two goals, I wouldn't be surprised if Dunsmore has to wait for his chance to get back in the starting line up.
For me, that's the ideal set up for tier 5. As you say, until an automatic spot is opened up, 4 team play-offs work. It's not ideal for an automatic relegation scenario but that's a bridge that could be crossed.
Usual disclaimer about not knowing how a managerial appointment is going to pan out but looks a poor choice from the outside. Mainly known for turning a perennially title challenging East Kilbride side into mid-table also rans in the Lowland League.
Yeah, enter through the home turnstiles then get to the away end by walking out in to the home end and across. You can get to the home pie stalls by going back the way you came but it is a major pain in the balls considering every away fan has to funnel through a row of seats.
It was the same last season as well.
Absolute nonsense to say Church is dogshit. He's done well when he's been given the chance so far. He's competing for a place with a long serving and popular player who's having a fantastci season. Some folk just can't seem to take to players in that position.
We could sign Andy Robertson and you'd still get a few folk grumbling cos Pat Slattery's not in the team.
In an ideal world both our grounds would have a wee bit of terracing. Terracing for the young boys and those that want a bit of atmosphere. Stand for those that don't.
On a non-footballing point. Can Dumbarton not stop this utter pish of keeping the away turnstile and pie stall shut? Is it really to save a few quid in pay to two or three folk running the turnstile / stall?
It really is a pain in the arse.
A much needed victory. Both in terms of needing to bounce back from a bit of a dip in form and first defeat and also in terms of actually beating fucking Dumbarton.
An excellent performance overall, especially in attack. Apart from that crazy close to the first half, I thought we were the much better side. Great performance from Danny Denholm today showing we've got the depth.
What a pair of carthorses those Dumbarton centre halfs are though. Brilliant at winning headers and launching themselves at set pieces. Not much else though.
Can't wait to see the McCluskey dive incident on the highlights. It looked like one of the worst I've ever seen. Think the ref must have thought it was embarrassing enough without giving him a yellow for it.
