I’ve no idea where I saw this but I thought there had been a rule change a few years ago meaning expiring contracts had to run until the start of the transfer window at least (i.e. the end of June) to give players more job security. Otherwise - only being employed from mid July to late May is a shite state of affairs. It would make far more sense to just have year long contracts and decrease the monthly wage a little to balance it out.

I haven’t seen much of McCrorie but I doubt Doohan would be getting a game at a mid table Premiership side. He’s decent enough at our level but he hasn’t hit the same heights as last season.

Fair point, although presumably the 16 team league wouldn’t just be for one season? Otherwise you’d need to relegate 5 or 6 clubs to get back to 12.

The “promote 4 teams and relegate no one” approach doesn’t satisfy everyone like people seem to be claiming. You’d still end up pissing off the teams just outside the promotion play offs who’ll feel they’ve been denied a shot at the play-offs. There’s also the fact that Sky would never agree to just having 2 Old Firm games. Still think trying to finish the season whenever it can resume is the best way forward - regardless of when that is. If the season after needs to be truncated then so be it but at least everyone will know that before it starts.

How is this any different from the average punter going to their work every day? Unless the country goes into complete lockdown they’re no different from anyone else and I haven’t seen any other profession that’s refusing to go to work until this is over.

However when turning right they SHOULD be able to to move to the left when coming off, as there shouldn’t be anything else beside them at that point. It should only cause hassle if some p***k’s decided to turn right in the left hand lane or for those wankers that forget they need to give way to all lanes (yes, not just the left hand lane you complete nutters). Obviously you need to be vigilant cause roundabouts seem to bring out the nutters but there’s nothing wrong with moving over to the left when safe to do so.
