Says a lot about the money down there that Burnley buy a guy for £15 million and he can’t get near the team. Guessing Mckenna would take his place as the much cheaper option as backup. Would be some move for him but hard to imagine him getting much game time at all.

Probably not a bad move for Anderson as he’d likely get more game time but don’t fancy Main and Wilson being the only other options up front. Especially as Mcinnes seems keener to play Wilson in the midfield or out wide than up front. Haven’t seen any word of bringing another forward in recently. Midfield and fullback seem to be the main areas mentioned.

We’re really thin at midfield right now so even though he’s injured I couldn’t imagine us letting him go until replacements were already signed or lined up.

Isn’t he out injured for another couple of months? He was starting regularly in the period before he got injured too so doubt there’d be any chance of him being allowed to go.

Were Stoke not one of the clubs who were linked with McKenna? Yeah. Not recently though I think but you never know. Lindsay's being linked with Hearts too and he played for Stendel at Barnsley but maybe Stoke signing McKenna and sending us Lindsay to the end of the season is a possibility.

Nah pretty sure McLean was signed for a small fee in January as his contract was running out. Had some other solid signings like Church on loan too I think but yeah a lot of dross.

Alan Nixon of the Sun saying Aberdeen are looking at centre Half's. Guessing this must be due to expecting McKenna to go as Vyner rarely plays there for us. Seen a few people saying Liam Lindsay is one being looked at but would be a surprising one of Stoke let him go even on loan as he seems to be in their matchday squad pretty much every week.

Anyone as in players or a replacement for McInnes? Yes and No in that order.

If Vyner is potentially out for the rest of the season then I can definitely see McInnes ringing the Hoban bell soon. And his season will probably be over by march. Only going by what I've seen on twitter regarding Vyner doing his shoulder again.

Only thing I can think of is him overthinking it and coming up with some football manager monstrosity of a tactic. He plays us so cautiously over the years I never get the impression of arrogance from him. If anything a lack of faith at times seems more likely.

Not a weak division at all. Everyone was relegated on merit. Not worth near bankrupting the club just to get some trophies.

Unless Mcginn, McLennan and Hedges were all carrying knocks I can't for the life of me understand starting the game without any of them.

About what I expected. Vyner for Logan and maybe McLennan ahead of Gallagher or Wilson is a surprise.

Christ, I would have Wilson start up front ahead of Main too but we all know who it’s going to be.
