  1. No. His time was up. Its the two appointments since that havent worked.
  2. Like Levein claiming the 4-6-0 worked because we only conceded from a set piece. No regard to the Czechs on both occasions have been, at best, no better than us.
  3. If Clarke comes out and says we've played well tonight in any way the alarm bells will be ringing. We dont deserve to qualify for tournaments playing like this. If we have players and management that accept this level of performance, things wont improve.
  4. Might be putting a lot of faith in LiveScore formations, but most time ive checked Sheff Wed lineups recently he's been playing left back. Granted, his main position is right back and I am totally just venting against this team in general. I actually dont mind him as a player. Good ball in for the goal as well.
  5. McTominay....a centre mid playing at right centre back Palmer....a left back playing right mid Robertson....best left back in the world playing at left mid Christie....most creative midfielder, playing up front. Losing this would be worse than drawing with the Faroes. At least we had shite players back then.
  6. Three at the back is pish when the opposition only play one up top, cause it means the defence either need to lose its shape or have two men spare, meaning they have a spare man elsewhere. Mcleish would be getting chased for this.
  7. Surely the whole point in a back 3 is to fit Tierney and Robertson into the same left side. Whats actually the fucking point in this?
  8. Exactly this. It's a shite way to treat the supporters who gave their money to help the club through a difficult summer. Surely the club have some sort of legal duty* to automatically give that money back if it was advertised as a full season but it is now only 3/4 a season? Whether it is the truth or not, it certainly looks like the club is banking (literally) on the fans not wanting to take the money they are owed out of the club. That is hardly great from a PR perspective. *not legally minded in the slightest but if it doesn't come under some mild fraud type duty, then the money should be automatically paid from a moral point of view.
  9. Anyone know anything about this? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54062392 See that we are named as one of the clubs using the live streaming service, but know nothing other than whats in that article.
  10. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54062392 Seen this on the BBC. Really interesting idea if it all works out.
  11. At least those guys shafted their clubs and made money out it. Low seems to shaft us just to increase her twitter following.
  12. Its not shifting the goal posts. No one is suggesting Dykes is a world beater. But given the options available, he's the best we had tonight. Dykes is not the reason we didnt win tonight.
  13. Genuine question since you obviously have some sort of major issue with Dykes. Who would you have started up front tonight?
  14. Your use of "they" rather than "we" tells its own story. Are those options good enough to win the Euros? Obvisouly not. Should they be good enough to win at home to Israel? Absolutely.
  15. Thats up there with the "me nan coukd score in that league" levels of shite patter. Embarrassed for you.
  16. Conor Washington started up front for N.Ireland tonight. They drew 1-1 away at Romania. Give me Dykes over Washington all day. The issue we have isnt that the players not being good enough. Its the players not playing as an actual team. Shouldnt matter what formation we put out tonight, we should be winning that game. But we need to start actually building a team here. And I've not seen anything like that for years now.
  17. Or Tierney at centre back or right back in a 4. Literally anything other sacrifice the entire team just to shoehorn him and Robertson onto the left side.
  18. McGinm, Christie, McGregor and Forrest should have been more than able to support Dykes tonight. They didnt. Thats not his fault.
  19. Totally agree. Which I wouldnt mind if we hadn't already tried it and failed. Robertson even came out and said neither him nor Tierney enjoyed playing that way it. Nearly all of our team/squad play in club sides in a 4-3-3 (4-5-1) type formation. We dont deserve qualifications if we cant beat fucking Israel.
  20. I for one am shocked that playing over half the team out of position or in unfamiliar positions is proving to be shite.
  21. He's a first team player at one of the biggest clubs in the world, playing and training every day with some top class players. We are not good enough of a team to be demanding that all our players are first team starters every week. If McTominay is one of the best 5 or 6 centre mids we have (and most would agree he is), he should be in the squad. If he's one of the top 2 or 3, or fits best into a certain role, he should be in the team. Its not a hard concept.
  22. Who though? Fraser Hornby? Kevin Nisbet? Genuinely cant think of anyone else who even comes close and even those two have done nothing to merit inclusion. Paterson at least offers us the battering ram approach if we need a plan C or D.
  23. I'm a massive fan of his - but in his 18 caps for Scotland he has done the square root of f**k all. Given McGinn's goal scoring form and McTominay's (or Jack's) ability to play more defensively, McGregor's position should absolutely be under threat.
  24. Don't think anyone is suggesting Sneddon doesn't deserve a chance. Nor is anyone suggesting that a Rangers player SHOULD automatically be starting. However, people are making a point that it is unlikely they have loaned us a young goalkeeper without some assurances of game time. Purely guesswork obviously but I don't think you've grasped the point people are making.
  25. Obviously not. But there is generally an agreement on playing time with these things. If, for example, Rangers have sent him here with the expectation of playing first team football, then our relationship with their management team might sour and stop them from sending anyone else if he isnt getting games. Given that McCall loves an Old Firm loanee, I would imagine he'll be under a bit of pressure to make him his number 1. Obvisouly if he comes in and proves to be shite after a few games, then thats a different story.
