  1. That is exactly why i would call up Considine or Wallace. Both can play left back. If Devlin can get called up, Considine is defo worth a shout
  2. Totally agree with Liam Kelly, forgot about him! Thinking was Naismith and even Phillips could play up front. Palmer and McGregor can cover left back. Get a new CD in if one of the others get injured... Maybe replace Paterson with another CD (Considine or Murray Wallace) and I'd still be happy.
  3. Sorry, that was a general statement rather than a reply to anyone. I'm not sure I'd start him against Isreal, but he would definitely be on the bench as back up. On after an hour if we are struggling. Unless McGinn isnt fit, in which case I would start him just off McBurnie.
  4. Robertson didnt play well against Watford. Should we drop him? If Gilmour is better than what we currently have, and compared to the likes of Jack, Shinnie, McLean I'd be willing to bet he is, then he should be in the squad at least (FWIW I quite like all 3 players I've mentioned, McLean and Shinnie in particular, I just think Gilmour is a better footballer). I personally am of the opinion that despite his form for Celtic, McGregor's assurance of a start should be seriously under threat for poor international form. Gilmour might just be the man to replace him.
  5. Playing Fleck at left mid would nulify Robertson imo. Robbo plays well for Liverpool because Mane infront of him constantly cuts inside due to being right footed, allowing Robbo to drive into the vacated space from deep. We need either Fraser or Forrest on the left to create that space for Robertson. Something both of them have done successfully for their sides for a large part of this season.
  6. This should be the squad for me: Marshall / Gordon / MacGillivary Robertson / Palmer / O'Donnell / Cooper / Findlay / Hanley McTominay / McGregor / Fleck / McLean / Gilmour Forrest / Fraser / Phillips / Christie / Naismith / Armstrong / Paterson McBurnie / Griffiths
  7. Griffiths is by far our most natural striker and goalscorer. If he is fit he should 100% be in the squad. It is as simple as that.
  8. This whole Jacqui Low thing really is starting to look like a diversion tactic. Appoint the person fans are guaranteed to be split on and spend time arguing about to divert from the whole fan ownership/land fiasco. If this is a calculated move, doing it while the team are knee deep in a relegation fight probably defuses any fan protests at matches cause they can just play the "you're not helping the team" card. A new low*. f**k the lot of them. *pun intended
  9. That would require some sort of self awareness that he hasn't proved to be a particularly good manager. And anyway, as far as I am concerned he should be given a new contract and be given millions to spunk up the wall during the next few transfer windows. It's all been very entertaining so far.
  10. Thought Livi were fantastic tonight, especially Guthrie, Brown and Dykes. Some of the most disciplined and organised defending I've seen in a while. Would have been a tragedy if they had taken nothing from the game. One thing Craigen said in commentary really grinds my gears but, kept suggesting Celtic crosses finding Livi players as bad luck. No it wasnt. It was excellent positioning by the Livi defence and a lack of quality from Celtic. Luck had f**k all to do with it.
  11. Quick question team.... I know a few people that are pals with Jamie Hamilton so have kept a bit of an eye on him in the last few months. Whats everyone's thoughts? A future Scotland international or a soon to be journeyman? FWIW i hope you stay clear of relegation. The seethe you guys cause the media and bigger clubs is hilarious.
  12. On a more positive note... heard on the radio earlier that McNamara is now home and recovering well. Fantastic news for him and his family.
  13. It can't have been Jacqui Low. Whoever has spun this has managed to do so fairly effectively, which immediately means she couldn't have done it. PR guru in her own mind. Couldn't promote smack to a junkie fs.
  14. Absolutely get that and I agree there should should be more Saturday 3pm kick offs in general. But there is a fine balance between looking after fans who attend matches (which should always be priority) and getting teams on TV for the average punter to watch. Is there also not the danger that with less TV exposure, shirt sponsors may be put off investing the same as they do now? I also took issue to the previous posters suggestion no one wants to watch Aberdeen v Hamilton. A lot of people do. If its true that not all the Edinburgh and Dundee derbies will be televised, I personally will be gutted. Those games, especially the Dundee ones, are usually a great watch. But anyway, we'll see what it's like next season I suppose.
  15. The bit you've put in bold is a good thing, no? More money for fewer games being shown; less disruption to fans with bonkers kick off times (although I'd imagine the BBC Scotland random kick off generator will still be in operation). Of course in an ideal world the TV companies wouldn't be showing all the Celtic and Rangers* away games but what does broadcasting Hamilton v Aberdeen actually achieve when it inconveniences fans of those clubs and barely anyone watches the game live on TV anyway. As someone who struggles to get to many games due to work and previously football commitments, I absolutely love watching SPFL games on the telly. The more the merrier. Hamilton v Aberdeen? Absolutely will watch. Elgin v Peterhead? Fucking gies it. Suggesting that true fans go to all the games doesnt account for all the fans that would love to go every week but can't because of work/family/financial commitments.
  16. Very pleasing seeing McGregor making a huge mistake which cost Rangers* the game. Always pisses me off that underneath the seething mess of a human he is a very good goalkeeper. Love watching the rare occasions when that angry p***k makes a complete hash of it. Just feel sorry for the wife/burd/random slapper that he goes home to that will no doubt have to suffer some angry meltdown tonight.
  17. I'd take the playoffs for Thistle this season. I'm not talking about the promotion one.
  18. In the case against fan ownership, this decision should be presented as "Exhibit A".
  19. It would be truly sole destroying if it wasnt so clearly inevitable. For a club apparently trying to move towards fan ownership, we dont half ignore fan's opinions.
  20. That's Jacqui Low confirmed as chairman/person. Ffs - what a way to ruin 2 weeks undefeated.
