  1. Not sure if youre being serious or not? IMO theres no doubt that Kane is one of the best strikers in the world. At the moment there is a strong argument he is THE best striker. But his inability to contribute when it counts in pressure games is a massive black mark against him. That and the diving.
  2. For me, a big part of being a Thistle/Scotland fan is being part of the collective "us". Its being surrounded by men and women from all walks of life with vastly different jobs, educations, backgrounds and life experiences that bond together to passionately support the same team towards the same goal, i.e. to win a football match. Yes, its tribal, primitive even, its "us" v "them" and in being that lets me get caught up in something beyond the worries of every day life. If that involved noising up another set of supporters for 90 minutes, then so be it provided it doesnt cross the line of course. Some of my best moments in supporting Thistle and Scotland involve me going mental celebrating with strangers I had never met and will likely never meet again. But they are not really strangers, because we are part of the same fanbase, part of the same tribe if you like. My opinion is that experience would be diluted if surrounded by fans of another club who didnt have the same goal as me. You seem to confuse any of that with the notion that no single football fan can be trusted and everything is a hateful cesspit. In my experience its really not. Just last week I walked to and from the Thistle game alongside groups of Inverness fans. Of course there wasnt a problem, why would there be? But once the game starts, its us v them. Those Caley fans would have felt the exact same. We can go back to being pally after the game has finished. If you disagree, thats fine. If you have a better experience sitting amongst fans of other clubs, good for you. But dont call me or anyone else a moron and tar football fans with the same brush because you cant see past the vile sections of certain fanbases.
  3. What you on about? Where have i said anywhere about battering opposition fans, or doing anything moronic for that matter? I just think football loses a key part of the fan experience if you have mixed seating.
  4. Jack Grealish is completely stealing a wage. £300k a week and it must be about a year since he last did anything productive. Complete fraud of a player. No idea what Pep sees in him.
  5. Cant think of anything worse than going to the football and being stuck amongst a bunch of opposition fans. Leave that "just here for a good day out" shite to the rugby bores IMO.
  6. Imagine being worried about getting beat in the air by Ashley fucking Young. Stonewaller the daft kunt.
  7. Refuse to believe Beto isnt a competition winner. Theres an Ali Dia story in the near future with him.
  8. Its as much a riddy for the league as a whole as Livi themselves. We all get why they do it. But being in the Premiership should be financially rewarding enough in itself to not need to do it.
  9. Best bit about our upturn in form is the oddball fan(s) who seem to take perverse joy in us losing are very quiet. Long may it continue.
  10. Give me carnage. Away wins are almost always funnier. Especially if the home team equalises late on and the away winner silences the home support mid songbook. Tears. Snotters. Red cards. Statements. Defensive calamities. Rodgers getting stookied by the ghost of Jimmy Bell. Tony Ralston appearing on the pitch at full time with that weird photo of Charlie having went in and nicked it from the changing room mid match. I want carnage. And police statements. And it getting brought up in parliment. The fucking lot. 0-0.
  11. Had to read this about 4 times trying to work out what youre on about here. Get the violin away for f**k sake. No one is saying what Livi has done isnt a good achievement. Nor anything to do with the nonsense that bigger supported teams should automatically be in the top flight. Must have some chip on your shoulder if thats what you take from my comment about Sunday. But any club giving the away support 3/4 of their ground plus letting away fans in early to set up their wee Ireland display is tin pot in the extreme. The very purpose of this thread.
  12. A strange thing for anyone to get worked up imo. If it makes the person's friends and/or family any sort of comfort at what is a horrible time for them then all for it. Obviously loses meaning if it happens every week for every fan though. Much more palatable than the performative silence/applause at the start of games, e.g. the Ukraine stuff and Lizzy dying, etc,.
  13. Why do referees seem intent on making football a contactless sport. Never a foul by MacAllister in a million years and he gets booked for it? Nonsense
  14. Because tens of thousands of them have been indoctrinated into whats no more than a cult, where "Celtic fan" is seen as a valid replacement for an individual personality.
  15. If all Meada can do is run. And if he cant kick the ball properly with his left foot. Why the f**k do Celtic constantly play him on the left? Surely better getting him as a normal winger on the right?
  16. Cant stop the songbook to commemorate a young guy losing his life? Stay classy Celtic.
  17. I get why they do it, but giving 3/4 of your stadium to the OF is such a minter for the league.
  18. If Drogba was always considerd the ultimate big game, clutch player, Harry Kane isnthe complete opposite. Proper spaced jammed in anything resembling a big match.
  19. Lucky to win that today. MacBeth was very good up against guys who just wanted to battle. Might not be our answer to the defensive mid problem weve had all season, but been impressed how hes managed to step up.
  20. Couple of questions spring immediately to mind. Why do Hearts have their badge on the floor? Seems a bit odd when people will be walking all over it. Why do Rangers have a supply of vinyl(?) flags? Seems a strange thing to have lying about and bring on an away day. Next time Hearts play at Ibrox they should bring a picture of the royals and hang it upside down or something. I want this to become a thing in scottish football. See how far we can take it.
