  1. Reported around £250K, we rejected a £400K offer from Dundee Utd a few months prior.
  2. Aye I heard similar. We rejected £400K from Dundee Utd in the Jan and then sold for £250K in the summer to Hibs. Anyone heading along to the Supporters Council meeting this evening? Looking forward to seeing what the club say about a number of things.
  3. Rumour is 30% mate, not confirmed officially by the club but enough of the ITK types seem to say it was that.
  4. I know it's not a choice, just a personal preference. Less games, fresher legs and hopefully the title at the end of it. Players might view it differently, they might want games thick and fast. It's not like we go and put teams to bed early doors scoring 5 or 6 most weeks like the last time we won L1. We tend to win by a goal in tense matches, it's tough and demanding, I'd just rather we had less of that to do in this particular season. If we were having another 2015/2016 season I'd be looking at the cup thinking about potential scalps, full of enthusiasm but for now it's the league, everything else is irrelevant. I think It'll be tight, could even go to ET but I think Thistle will be in the hat for the next round. 2-1.
  5. I think it's probably easier this year/going forward because there's no replays, games are played to a finish on the day. Years gone by if you end up with a midweek replay that goes to ET and Pens it may mean the team are a bit leggy come the weekend fixture, maybe that's where the term 'distraction ' comes in especially if in a title hunt. We all want to see the Pars win the Scottish Cup at some point in our lifetime but it's unlikely it'll be this year, hence why I'm not too bothered about it and I'm more focused on the league. Ideally I'd like to see us win the league this season without the need for it to go down to the wire, I'd take going out the Scottish on Saturday for that. Don't get me wrong, I'll not be sitting with a Thistle hat on this weekend, I still want us to win I'm just not going to be too bothered if we don't. Never know, could draw one of the gruesome twosome away in the next round should we get through which wouldn't be a terrible thing for the club.
  6. I really don't think we'll be too arsed about the SPFL Trophy when weighed up against other things, if it doesn't get played next week and gets into a busier period we might just play the kids. Obviously the league is number one priority and I'd say the club would love to progress on Saturday with the chance of a money maker tie in the next round but if come next Wednesday we're out of both the SPFL Trophy and Scottish Cup I wouldn't be too bothered.
  7. Glorious, just skimmed through that. I’d been to a few games from about 1996 onwards but that’s one of the first ones I really remember, up the back of what is now the Norrie, brilliant! The form Nisbet is in I can’t see him going this window unless someone comes in with serious money and I can’t see Celtic doing that. It’s not like Hibs have to sell, he’s still under contract until next summer. I do think someone from say the English Championship may test the water in this window at least. See with regards to the sell on clause, does that expire when his current deal expires? Or does it just roll over until he leaves Hibs?
  8. Not making this one but think it'll be a decent cup tie. Naturally want to progress but as long as we go and give a good account of ourselves I'll be happy, league is the main priority so perhaps not having the cup as a distraction, extra games etc would be a good thing. It'll be a good test to see how we do against a good Championship side. I think it'll go to extra time but Thistle will progress to the next round.
  9. Looked like a coming together for the penalty, I’ve seen them given for less. Ref must’ve had his strict penalty pants on, definitely didn’t look like a dive.
  10. That was comfortable today, on another day it could have been 7 or 8. The goal disallowed was a weird one, I assume he have a handball, certainly didn’t look like he used his hand. Edwards, Todd & Wighton all missing chances where it looked easier to score, still a nice win and another clean sheet. Have to say I thought KRH was brilliant when he came on, he’s such a classy player. If we go up this year I’d very much like to keep him on loan in the Championship, if we don’t then I’m sure Rangers will have other plans for him. Has Matty Todd ever scored a tap in? I will eat the biggest slice of humble pie, in fact I’ll eat the whole thing. I recall saying in pre season that we’d need more centre midfielders as we’d win nothing with Chalmers, Todd & Allan as our CM’s. Allan has hardly kicked a ball due to injury but Todd has been unbelievable, I’d be gobsmacked if teams up the pecking order aren’t having a look, he’ll be on the radar I’m sure. Chalmers has definitely improved from last season, I thought he was poor today without doing anything majorly wrong. A bit sloppy with back passes but no harm done. Nice to see the bench looking so healthy!
  11. Love that the highlights showed him getting a standing ovation going off. Josh could be a frustrating player but always gave 100%, the season that followed where we won the league he was superb and one of my favourite ever Pars teams purely because of how good the football was, albeit league 1. A travesty that AJ didn’t give him a new deal for the Championship, along with Shaun Byrne. A complete fud of a man.
  12. Just watching it back, how anyone can claim they weren't reds in this day and age I'll never know. Totally forgot it was wee Josh who opened the scoring. Ross Forbes accuracy to hit the target on that left peg was something else, remember the season prior when we signed him I'm sure he scored 5/5 and all were screamers. Mr Rodgers exploded on Twitter that night, head was in orbit, a complete moron.
  13. I wouldn't say we were front runners but he was mentioned in the Dunfermline Press this week and was also named in McPake's Thursday interview which is a bit odd. John Potter says no bids received so we'll see. Apparently English lower league clubs sniffing too so if it comes to money he'll end up down south, I think Salford City were mentioned and they have plenty cash. FWIW I'd bite your hand off for him but we now have 4 fit strikers again so looks like one would have to be loaned out at least. Wighton has been really good since returning from an early season injury and now well up to speed, Todorov always a nuisance and chips in with goals, McCann returned on Christmas Eve with the winner at Kelty and now O'Hara is back in the squad too.
  14. Someone else mentioned Todorov & O’Hara in a hypothetical swap scenario, it’s not actually on the table, I only gave my opinion.
  15. Not to go below 5 degrees between now and kick off so we’ll be fine. Only thing that may put the game in any doubt is the rain but even still i think tomorrow and Saturday pre match are to be dryer that today.
  16. I’d take a swap for O’Hara. Ideally I’d like to keep Todorov as he’s a big physical nuisance but I suppose if the offer was Agyeman or Todorov then I’m having the former. I just think Todorov will offer more between now and the end of the season. I was delighted when we signed O’Hara (after a few days of letting the dust settle) mainly because he’d been a thorn in our side when playing for Alloa. He really hasn’t lived up to the hype, hat trick at Alloa, the odd goal here or there but not the guy I thought we were getting.
  17. Wonder if there’s anything to the Agyeman rumour as I see the player is actually named in McPake’s Thursday interview. Normally with those things no names are mentioned, obviously McPake has played it down but he has to.
  18. Looking at our results away to Peterhead and Clyde makes the four dropped points from the home games even worse. In fairness Clyde were actually better than us that day, but Peterhead were quiet until we chucked it with 5 to go. Hopefully a home win, be nice to have Fisher confirmed as staying, maybe even one in the door before then to add to the competition. Please just score early Pars so we're not chucking the kitchen sink at it with 10 to go.
  19. McPake's comments are that he wants to keep him until the summer so he must've seen enough to know he could come in handy. Notice now the resheuduled Dundee game won't be on Alba.
  20. Craig Carins from the Courier has posted an interview with Dundee manager Gary Bowyer, talking about Sam Fisher. Sounds like he's going to be with us until the end of the season without actually confirming that, they've been really impressed with how he's done and sounds like they have big plans for him going forward. Bowyer speaks to him after every game too which will be good for his development too.
  21. Not much going on at our bit unfortunately. Whenever I come into P&B The Falkirk FC Thread is always hot so I like to check in and see what you're all getting torn-faced about, it passes the time bzzzzzzzzz!
  22. Not surprised, imagine having to play for Falkirk, the poor child.
  23. Need to get Fisher confirmed. Mahon actually showed some good play in his brief appearances but hasn't featured much lately so wouldn't be totally gutted if he went back to Motherwell if it meant getting someone with a bit more experience in the door. I actually think we might get one or two permanents in this window. That coupled with a loan or two would be great.
