  1. Totally. We’ll know for certain first thing tomorrow, where I live is usually like a bottle when cold. If it’s okay here I’d imagine I’ll be sweet at East End. The lack of football in this festive period has been bad enough, if tomorrows game gets the boot I’ll be fewwwmin.
  2. I’ve just got in, there’s a chill in the air but nothings frozen or even that shiny way when it’s going to be cold. I’d be gobsmacked if the game wasn’t on, firstly because I don’t think it’ll freeze quite like what has been predicted but secondly, even if it is cold I’d imagine the club would be making every effort to have this on, covers, under soil heating etc. Could be circa 8000 there tomorrow, it’ll be on!
  3. My bad, no idea what day it is today let alone what the 2nd will be! The flooding at Asda Halbeath was unbelievable, seen some photos online. The rescue teams ended up having to bring in a dingy.
  4. Aye I was just out in it there and it was bad with plenty surface water. East End's drainage is pretty good, fingers crossed the weather calms down a bit. Monday is meant to be dry here so hopefully give it a day to dry out before the game on Tuesday. It's been a pretty dreadful set of festive fixtures with all games being played before Christmas then nothing again for us until the 2nd, it this game got canned it would be very disappointing, especially as it would end up going to a Tuesday night or something. FWIW I think the game will go ahead, I've seen roads closed due to flooding in Dunfermline and the game's still went ahead.
  5. Not making this one purely because of the date/time. Really wish they'd went for boxing day.
  6. Forget this weekend's game away to Arbroath in that silly cup competition, but the week after away to Airdrie, away to Kelty and then home to Falkirk before away to Edinburgh is as big as it's going to get this season. Obviously 12/12 would be the best outcome but what would everyone be happy with given the opposition.
  7. First 10 minutes I thought we looked up for it and that Queens were a little hesitant, I thought it would only be a matter of time until we scored and went on to win. Then for the following 35 minutes we got progressively worse. Great time to score for Queens. Todorov took his goal well, was mightily unlucky with the shot that just went past the post in the dying minutes, but a draw was fair. We need to get our finger out at home and start picking up wins or the teams behind us will eventually pick up results and catch us. Forget this weekend's game away to Arbroath in that silly cup competition, but the week after away to Airdrie, away to Kelty and then home to Falkirk before away to Edinburgh is as big as it's going to get this season. Come through these games with the cushion intact and I think we'll certainly be favourites to go on and win it.
  8. I've been really happy watching Chalmers prove a fair few wrong this season. It's not always been great, bit sloppy on the ball early in games and gave hospital balls back to the defenders that put us under pressure but he's improving all the time. Big improvements from Matty Todd, Breen and Deniz but Bene has been absolutely class.
  9. Another big game, Clyde haven't had the best of times but have now appointed Jim Duffy as manager, will there be a new manager bounce on Saturday? Fancy the Pars to win, could be another big weekend in the season with both Edinburgh and Falkirk playing each other, so someone is definitely dropping points there.
  10. Well I thoroughly enjoyed that. Got off the bus about 2:45 and could already see the south stand at Falkirk was packed, “A Little Respect” by Erasure playing, crowd singing along I thought here we go, place is packed and they’ll be right up for it… then the game started. I totally get it, the number of times we’ve been going well, attracted a big crowd then sh*t it is too many to count. Very proud of the players, not pretty but I couldn’t give a toss how we get out of the league as long as we do. When we won it in 2015/16 we were entertaining, scoring high numbers of goals, great attacking play but I’d be quite happy to see us 1-0 it through to May this time around. Watching local lads Matty Todd and Chris Hamilton going radge during the goal celebration was absolutely mint. Wonder if the Jesus Christ lookalike’s head has returned to earth yet, was in orbit at the end of the game as was a fair few others including the guy in the second half trying to jump the barrier, one leg up whilst being held back by stewards all whilst Deniz Mehmet was about to take a goal kick. Anyone know what time that Falkirk Daft podcast is tomorrow? Lube and tissues at the ready.
  11. There’s a good 5/6 I’m aware of and have been full for some time.
  12. Know exactly what you mean. Coming to East End and seeing the East stand busy is much better than a small corner of fans up in the main stand. Even if it does give the opposition big backing i'd still rather see the away end full.
  13. At least if you make it back to Haymarket a taxi between 5 people back to Dunfermline will be about a tenner a head. I knew there was strikes and we're on one of the buses so didn't even check times. Is there trains to Inverkeithing after 17:24? Just noticed JMcP has said Breen will be fit and Paul Allan will be in the squad after injury. Be good having him back, another player like Todd that has came through the youth and done pretty well in the league cup earlier this season. Also beefs the bench up that bit more. McCann and O'Hara both still out.
  14. Oh no he's well and truly yours. Can still remember the day he was announced, we'd re-signed Faissal El Bakhtaoui earlier that day so it didn't even register with most people until a few days later, ironically Hyppolite had a better goal return that Faissal did. IIRC he scored for Falkirk against us in a boxing day game a few years back, 2016 maybe. So yes, he definitely enjoyed the game between us, but you can definitely have him, he didn't win many Pars fans over.
  15. A Pars fan has been posting videos of recent wins at TFS on Twitter this week. I completely forgot that Myles Hippolyte scored for us in two separate games at TFS,, certainly enjoyed a Dunfermline Vs Falkirk game, regardless of the colour of shirt he was wearing.
  16. You realise no one is actually being serious when talking about one sided thumpings..... yes? Didn't actually expect anyone to bite but I hope you enjoyed your lunch.
  17. Can only beat what's in front of you. At least four of your wins came under Stephen Kenny's reign.
  18. All the pressure is on Falkirk for this game. Potentially a sell-out home crowd against your biggest rivals, a chance to close the gap and make a real statement on the campaign. Not forgetting that Falkirk are currently the form team in the division, (same form points as us hoofballers) but apparently playing nice football. Rumour has it we're just turning up for a thumping, anything less than three points is a disaster surely?
  19. I honestly think McPake's kitty will be decent enough when the window opens in January, regardless of if we're 10 points clear or 10 points off the pace. The team needs strengthened and he definitely didn't get to bring in the type of player he wanted in the summer due to them not being available.
  20. I thought the South and North stands would be the same, how come the home end is smaller in capacity than the away end? Cracking numbers there, I've got bought two for the away end.
