  1. Would take Foz purely for the chance to see Amy McD in a Pars shirt. Don’t necessarily want to see him in one.
  2. Rumours circulating on dotnet and which ended up in various group chats is that Dan Pybus was told we’re not taking the option of another year via text. I’m sure we had that issue when we let 16 go once the pandemic began, we want to attract good players to the club but it sounds like we’re a bit of a shite bunch to deal with. Again, all just rumours at the moment but I wouldn’t be surprised. Could we not have been a bit more professional and spoke to these guys face to face or is a text message making you jobless okay because it’s football?
  3. Good defender and probably better than league 1 level so will do well for Falkirk. He was part of the sunken ship, the fewer players from last season the better IMO, I'd be quite happy to never see any of the players from last season in a Pars shirt ever again apart from 2/3.
  4. Echo all of these points. The commentary on the streams are poor. I know these guys are volunteers but they’re doing it because they want to, not because they have to. I had covid towards the end of the season so missed a couple of home games and watched the streams, the co-comms guy just spoke for the sake of it and 9/10 he was miles off it. If I do have to miss a game and watch on Pars TV I’d sooner have just crowd noise. I know it’s petty but things like the graphics for team announcements, goals on twitter etc, they’re all a bit dated. Social media is huge these days for our engagement with the fans, it’s been really poor ever since Mikey stepped down as general manager. I know that wasn’t his main responsibility but he works in marketing/design and everything used to look brilliant, almost ahead of others but we’ve been stuck for a while. I look at other clubs and they just do it better and not just Premiership and Championship, even Queens Park, Montrose, Kelty to name a few do it better.
  5. Ludo, is Martin Harty the same guy who was Jimmy Nichols assistant when he managed teams? I was listening to the sacked in the morning podcast the other day and Jimmy Nic was the guest, he heat referring to a guy called Martin Harty. Just I thought the guy was older than Jimmy Nic by the sounds of the stories, so not young enough to be JMcP brother in law haha.
  6. I hope Shields is pointed more towards the academy, similar to what he was doing in America. Let McPake bring in his own staff.
  7. Always liked him as a player when he's played for Dundee. Would absolutely take on loan.
  8. Gary Bollan and Stevie Aitken were 2 frontrunners iirc. Think it was Aitken, wouldn't have been Bollan. That's like something you'd put a score on.
  9. Because I didn't want him as manager. He done really well at QoS in his initial spell but had a poor time at Killie, he left there in the February and joined us in the May and my memory of him was his time at Killie. I can't remember who the other candidates being touted at the time were but he wasn't initially who I wanted. He went on to build one of my favourite ever Pars teams in his first season and one of the most enjoyable as a fan, albeit league one.
  10. Great post. I read that and immediately related to it all. Wee bit too young to remember Leish getting appointed and I was alive but very young for Paton, however I still remember the day AJ got promoted, I was really disappointed. I'm not sure who I wanted but I do remember feeling really underwhelmed. Look where we went that season. McPake could kick on with us, here's hoping. I' m not doing Cartwheels but this is where we are.
  11. Courier sport Twitter confirming it’ll be McPake this morning.
  12. When McPake was at Dundee did he have his own assistant, coaches or did he just have who Dundee had before?
  13. I'd be gobsmacked if it isn't McPake. I don't hate the idea as much as others but I'm also a million miles from cartwheels. Suppose we have to take our medicine. Only potential is he might bring Charlie Adam as a player coach which would be tidy in league 1. Again, pie in the sky, probably be Greig Sheilds mark 3.
  14. Unless I've missed it, McBookie didn't have Raith manager betting on. I've only been looking the past week of course but it seemed to be ourselves and Dundee. Dundee's stopped when they confirmed they were down to a shortlist of 5.
  15. Or what nothing. Our main objective this season coming should be promotion. We've had a few seasons of absolute dross, people are already a little p*ssed off with the club so spending a few seasons in league 1 isn't going to help that in anyway.
  16. Aye I couldn't give a toss about giving young players opportunities this season. If they're good enough then great but we need to get out the division at the first time of asking.
  17. McBookie have just said the last 5 bets on the Pars manager have all been for Jack Ross. If we managed to pull of JR in League 1 I'd dof my cap to the board.
  18. Courier Twitter suggests an announcement could be soon for you guys. Board meeting today apparently.
  19. I was glad when we announced Yogi was away and was even quite excited but I genuinely have no trust in them making the right choice. Only difference is Cook is involved now in place of McCarthur. Looking forward to the McBookie list coming up, see what other Europeans they've shoehorned in.
  20. No one got interviewed when PG got it. I'm sure there were several interviews the last time and from what I heard those that interviewed were Kenny Miller, Kettlewell and Yogi. The reason Dick isn't Dunfermline manager now is more to do with some on the board not wanting him (apparently).
  21. No chance we'll be going for Bully at the moment. Some wee laddies started a rumour well before Yogi was sacked and McBookie are just using the ex player checklist to make up the number.
  22. Aye they’ll have to stop using that highly offensive term now. Big City C*nts will do going forward.
