  1. This is one for ITK ,, Spanish Armada, For what it is worth he is Callum Fordyces cousin (Wikipedia) Good pedigree
  2. Mr Roberts, it is a strange one,not listed on the team sheet even as a sub, until Barrowman pulled out apparentlu, any reason why, he is no world beater but we play better when he is in it.... On another note. Chris O Neil has been released by stenny, a player Murray offered a deal to in preseason but was knocked back... Another player destined for East Kilbride.....
  3. That move went well for o neil, what happened highly rated by the happy clappers at airdrie, Does he now fall into the "Journeyman" category
  4. Agree I think we need a more attack minded midfielder a no 10 type, not enough goals coming from midfield, apart from MacKay, Roberts in his role needs to score more or he could find a permanent home on the bench, Hope Ryan starts after all that's why we signed him.... After all the horse trading in the past few weeks and still to come, I don't really see any change throughout the league, no team has really strengthened enough to push on,
  5. Apparently had two bids rejected, the only issue I can see here is if say For far are offering a 18 month deal just now, either he hasn't been offered an extension at Airdrie so far or hasn't signed an extension yet, it's all hearsay without the facts... Personally I think he is decent when he is on his game at this level, and gives the team balance, but I don't think he has the tools to step up again to championship level if we ever get there....... I would keep him just now but he is far from irreplaceable....
  6. Personally I would start Ryan ahead of Roberts, Ryan hasn't been signed to sit on the bench, front two of seagal and Ryan with Carrick and Smith out wide........Stranraer are rock bottom and if we have any inclination of going for the title, these sides need to be put to the sword and that's means scoring goals.
  7. Lets be honest we got humped off a struggling premier league side sprinkled with internationals, comng off a mid winter break, trying to impress a new mamager, playing at arguably one of the most intimidating grounds in Scottish football....... Sugar coating the result and performance means nothing to this season's goal.... As a supporter of any club, by watching games on a regular basis and not one game wonders, you realized your teams limitations and frailties, basically Hearts were a few levels above and it showed up our limitations in various positions, That's football and we have a great chance to go for the title, we had 1500 at Tynecastle, fantastic, to be honest the next to home games are crucial to our hopes , 6 points required against Stranraer and ,Raith, The team need our support at our home ground, which in my opinion is of a better standard than Tynecastle, the number of restricted view seats were ridiculous from the first few rows behind the goals.
  8. No I find that the saltire is too divisive, Union Jack or my preference is actually the Jolly Rodger..... See you next season
  9. According to the press, we are looking at Steven Boyd ex accies, East fife, a striker / attacking midfielder an excellent player for this level, don't know if any truth in it, hope so as the only way to win this league is by scoring goals.
  10. Agree, looking forward to the day and the occasion, Major shock if we even got a replay, taking 1500 ext to this game, half of which will not be there next week against stranraer, how times change we took 1500 plus to Broadwood on a regular basis during our much maligned tenancy while we waited on the new stadium.. Personally I would freshen up the team, give fringe players game time in a competitive environment, instead of lining up against 17 year olds in the Reserves or Youth development league or whatever they call it these days... Kerr is being touted now as a midfield playmaker because he has scored goals at that level. !!!!!! Kerr is a young centre half who should be encouraged to learn the position from seasoned pros like Crighton and Fordyce, I do not see any advantage to messing with this, we did the same with Jamie Bain and Scott Stewart years ago changing positions on a regular basis to suit the inadequacies of recruitment and management, in my view these players have not developed to a standard they could have due to this.
  11. Agree any ideas on who could be a creative midfielder, personally don't think there will be any more signing news, unless any injuries are picked up before the end of the window.
  12. Just seems to have come from a couple of ITK fans on facebook, who!e thing has got out of contro!, The club as far as I can see have not commented quite rightly until the ink is dry, in saying that there is no smoke without fire and I expect Mr Ryan to be unveiled in due course to help our quest for unexpected glory. Apart from Ryan's possible return, the club have made promising moves in resigning Thomson, Seagal, MacDonald and the superb McCann.. Hats off to Paul Hetherington and his fellow directors who had to run the gauntlet when they took the reins of a rudderless ship and move us forward, no doubt costing themselves a small fortune in the process, For the first time in a long time we have hope and our pride back...... Onwards and upwards
  13. What's going on ffs, The hysteria regarding his signing is getting too much. Just sign him, this could have an unsettling effect on the team for a very important game on saturday....
  14. I must be honest I got the fear when the Tizer broke the "exclusive" this morning, lazy journalism, no links apart from our fans page. ..... Hopefully Andy Ryan is on the back page of the Tizer next week after riding into town on his white charger..... Onwards and Upwards
  15. A fit and firing Andy Ryan as we k now can put this league to the sword, But he has not been fit or firing since he left really never been a regular starter or scorer for Dunfermline is he damaged goods......
