  1. Like to follow your results, games look eventful plenty goals at both ends, How is ex diamond John Higgins getting on at Kilsyth these days.
  2. Ditto, This is the joys of the seaside league it destroys your soul..
  3. Credit when credit is due, first class today attacking football in the first half shows we can do it, when set up correctly. Murray appears to have made a shrewd signing in Co!in Cameron seems more energy and intensity in the dug out area, I liked Fitzy a good servant possibly Murray and Fitzy was a marriage of convenience at the time...... Already looking forward to Falkirk , have we ever won at that stadium.....
  4. Maybe more to do with the young lads having to pay there way in, This season, shock horror.....
  5. On the subject of crowds can anybody tell me how many tickets we were allocated and what we eventually sold for the 2 Scottish Cup finals against the old firm in the 90s.
  6. We have one of the top 10 stadiums in Scotland IMO it is and should be something to be proud of, why would we want to downsize and build a 2 k one when we have had a 10k one for the past 20 years. The current owners PH has his critics , but is investing a small fortune to try and rebuild this club, His main problem is and was over thinking the football side, DOF, Hybrid system, if he sat back and appointed a tried and tested manager with a successful cv we would be much better off, it's impossible to change this current lot now, Its in the club's DNA for this season, Next Season get it right ffs.....
  7. Looking for opinions, we Airdrie have a certain Ian Murray as Our Manager, he has produced probably the most expensive, most defensive minded, dull, and shot shy team in living memory, he had a short tenure at yourselves a few years back, what was he like at saints or basically exactly what I have described with us... In fairness you do not seemed to have looked back since you binned him......
  8. Interesting to see that Murray has thrown our not required Director of Football under the bus, clearly stating on his post mix interview, that recruitment was DOF job, The first sign of trouble behind the scenes, The Director of Football is in charge of this clusterf**k, He'll let's not stop there where is our chairman Martin Ferguson the only time you seem his is filling up on his free lunches, he is the club figurehead or certainly has that position, Make hard decisions, change what needs changes just get things done ffs, if all you are here for is to be a prawn sandwich connoisseur then you can f**k off too...
  9. To be fair to wedderburn, who fits the Airdrie scapegoat blueprint quite easily, was one of the two Airdrie players trying to pass the ball in the second half, with relative success, unfortunately Josh Kerr was the other one who passed straight to the opposition causing 2 goals, we are a truly horrendous side iwe had 9 full-time players starting the game, same performance, different personnel means that the coaching and tactics are unworkable, and a football team that cannot score, cannot create and begin to leak bad goals are only going one way sadly,
  10. Never mind the bollloks, The big question is will they play a Little respect by Erasure over the sound system at half time......
  11. I don't want to be pedantic but I am waiting with bated breath for the comments from the players and management on social media channels regarding the family section, as stated at bottom of the statement on the official site.
  12. I think the main thing that has happened is our not required Director of Football has came down from his Ivory Towers and was slightly upset by one of us minions in steerage, who basically told him what time it was. Murray to be fair gets criticised most games as all previous Airdrie managers have, I actually thought it was quite tame until the last couple of minutes.... Is all criticism and bad language banned if aimed at referees and opposing players and management. It is a pretty vague statement, can you still sit in your same seat, the one you have sat in for 20 years or do you have to move or sign a disclaimer to say you will happy clap.... Please help.....
  13. We currently have a "squad" of 35 players, of which 3 are loanees, 8 are Part Time including our 2 first choice keepers, The 8 Part Time players are primarily first team players, a further 8 Full Time players are part of the first team match day squad. The remaining 16 roughly are part of the reserve squad and are highly rated players for the future.... I hope that answers the first part of your question..
  14. All we have done is dust down the manifesto from the ill rated Wotherspoon\King era throwing money down the drain, Pro youth football is finished at our level,
  15. We didn't need a Director of Football when we had Dalziel and we don't need one now either, Millar was in charge of recruitment in the close season and has failed miserably, he nearly bankrupted stranraer previously , enough is enough, disgraceful today again, Time to go....
  16. Interesting move by both parties, fitzy was Part Time and with the club woefully short of coaching on a full time day to day basis possibly makes sense. Far from being a club legend, although he has given more to the club in that time than some of them, Good Captain and Leader. has Prunty got the relevant coaching badges, I don't think so, he would be better staying in his cheerleading role.
  17. Anybody think Peter Murphy is a shout for the managers job, doing well at Annan and has them playing good football despite having to rebuild every season. Surely a better option than the rest of the retreads.
  18. Great post absolutely spot on... Happy clapping has got us knowwhere in the past and will get us knowwhere in the future...
  19. Exactly why the f**k do we need a Director of Football, Stranraer are struggling without one aren't they......... Print is another what does he do, Wages that could have been spent on Experienced players to get out of this league..... Shameful incident in the first half with a players family being abused, Sad day for the club...
  20. Correction this is Airdrie, and the same Airdrie it has been for a long long time. Sad but true... We need one vision. Raith are focussed on getting out this league, all there money is going on first team players to try and progress, Falkirk are the same and that's why they will win the league.. Airdrie a handful of full timers, part timers and an array of fulltime youth players, we must have a wage bill that could choke a horse, spunking money on youth is a high risk, low reward ptoject. The Future is now we all know another 2 or 3 years in this league is not an option.
  21. Agree he has his limitations, but has a good range of passing and is a presence, surely has to start against stranraer.
  22. Interesting to see that 2 recently released players from higher leagues have been snapped up by our rivals, Stranraer signing Andy Stirling, and East Fire signing the very talented Steven Boyd, no idea if we were in for these players or not, I just hope we haven't spunked all our money on the 'future'. ........
  23. If any doubt at all, surely he cannot play, if he plays with a dodgy hamstring and it goes he could be out for months, we have cover not worth the risk I,MO.
