  1. Was thinking the same myself, McCann seemed a little lost at times today, Good sub bringing on Eckersley, Eckersleys experience could be vital over the next few weeks of Crighton will be missing a while. Roberts never made the cut today, is he injured or just not rated at the moment.
  2. Roy seems a busted flush, head seems all over the place on the park.. Struggled badly to do the basics was alw ays a high risk signing..... Agree about Kerr and Crighton, Kerr especially is attacking the ball more now which he didn't do at the start of the season... Up front Smith and Seagal are working hard and getting there rewards now. Big problem is a very onepaced safety first centre midfield pairing, I personally think big nat and Cowan could be out best pairing, Millar and McKay battle away with no real creativity, The lad Reilly on loan from Accies is highly rated but never seen him yet. Big decision for Murray next week does he start Eckersley or young McCann, I personally don't think we can play both in the same team.
  3. Has he had a team relegated before. ??? His only season in management he managed to get to the promotion playoffs.
  4. Should our reserve team not be doing better, Full time a couple of first teamers on display or is it down to coaching, Murray let it slip in the programme on saturday, that he was the only coach for the full timers which I hear is 27 players, Sean Crighton has been added last week after leav ing his morto n gig. How can one coach train, nurture and improve players when he has so many. I believe fitzy, Prunty and Low are all part time.. This surely has to be addressed this Hybrid model really is make it up as you go on.
  5. East Fife and For far played us off the park as well to be fair.
  6. Sorry to hear about Gal, was playing well for Airdrie when he got injured at Gayfield looked a cruciate at the time that was back in February, Stranraer knew his injury situation when they signed U.K. Would like to think they would honour his contract..
  7. O Reilly is out with a groin injury and could be long term, I am sure it said he was being sent back to St Johnstone for intensive treatment. Are we still in the market for players or has that ship sailed until January.
  8. Looking at that side it is bang average, no consistent goals in the entire team, massive game on saturday. The one change which I think will happen in the coming weeks Scott Gallagher to replace David Hutton between the sticks. Hutton has struggled this season and IMO Gallagher is a better keeper.
  9. Ok, but where is Kyle MacDonald right wing back he was getting pelters from Murray and Crighton for not going with the runner, we were outplayed again by a supposed play off rival, just like For far at home, our side seems to struggle against a high tempo passing side which is worrying, Falkirk this week is massive a real pivotal game, we win , we could end up near the top, a defeat and we are in a dogfight with pish like stranraer and Dumbarton. Question is the hybrid system working or do we have to wait 3 years to see.
  10. On a slightly different note seagal is he good or pish.....personally after watching him after a few games i say the latter..... keep your chins up guys it's not a barrel of laughs up Airdrie way either. We got an undeserved 1 nil win against Accies boys and they rode us senseless all second half.
  11. He is one of the forwards Murray is banking on to fire us to the championship, scored tonight and seems to have taken on scot Stewart's mantle as the housewives favourite.. I agree he is hopeless and seagal is pish tae.
  12. Agree, it looks more and more like a work in progress project, very similar in fact to his team he helped in Norway. Always remember we need out this league ASAP have we a squad capable,
  13. Absolute disgrace on Airdries part, arguably most natural finisher in the squad. Good Luck to the lad,
  14. You have a good strike rate for our signings this season, who were you expecting or are we signing another....
  15. Forfar were first class, everything you would want from your team, Airdrie again have spunked money on a high risk project.... No threat or invention today playing Wedderburn as the play maker , I like the big man never hides and finds his man with a pass. A midfield 3 didn't work and Roy and Seagal were too deep with Roy giving a scandalous performance and quite rightly subbed, Roy has talent, but has bounced around a few clubs in his career and could be one of those boys that are high maintenance , we clearly signed boys "with a point to prove" with no real career stats to back then up. Roy, Craig Thomson, Carrick. All of these players are pivotal as they are expected to score goals, Career stats say different. Moving forward a change has to come at centre half, Kerr can pass a ball and is young and athletic, but at this point he is not a league 1 centre half, every game he has made costly mistakes and looks a bag of nerves. Paul McKay is highly rated at centre half (by whom I don't know). He should partner the steady Crighton and have a midfield 3 of big nat, Hawkshaw and Roberts to give us energy and a spark in the middle of the park..... Let's not sugar coat today as a one off it was fucking disgraceful ,
  16. All about opinions and seeing the game differently, I think Fordyce is the starting right back. And rightly so, he is a massive upgrade on Stewart (who ironically has dropped out the Arbroath team recently). Moving forward i believe our centre half pairing to be MacKey and Kerr, but Crighton has played well and better than Kerr in the games so far, a lot of people on here criticize his distribution from the back, Crighton is old skool clears his lines or a long diagonal and gets us up the park, problem we have had against all the teams in our section is overplaying at the back against sides with a high press, thistle 2nd half, QP 1st half, Accies 2nd half, Hopefully Murray has rectified this, what about a back 5 on Saturday Crighton, Mackay, Kerr with Fordyce and Eckersley as wing backs....
  17. Agree was certain at the time it was never a penalty, watching the highlights show Eckersley ta king his man out, ball was miles away....
  18. The Supporters club in its current format is done, To be fair they came to the fore in desperate times for the club and helped to initiate the takeover . After that they got too involved in all aspects of the club, and I am led to believe if it wasn't for the majority shareholder and main sponsor we probably we not be looking forward to this season if at all.... If the Supporters club was to reboot, the best approach would be an annual donation to the club no strings attached, maybe then more people would join... anyway enough of this negative pish, do we realistically have a shot at glory this season , the bookies have us third favourites behind Falkirk and Raith i would guess that would be about right.
  19. To be fair our accounts and finances were splattered all over social media a couple of years back, when T W backed out, you must remember the Supporters meeting being beamed live.
  20. Interesting any more word on Callum Smith Pars forward who we were talking to a couple of weeks back apparently, swap deal on the cards.....
