  1. Good to read that you acknowledged we played really well in the last game and I think it would be fair to say we deserved something out of the game. Raith had one shot all game but that's all it took. Looking forward to the game. I do worry our momentum will have gone after not playing for two weeks. Saying that our form over the last few months has been tremendous and so we should be confident to go and get a result.
  2. McGuigan substituted again on saturday. Must be about time he is fed up at Stenny and wants away....
  3. Wouldn't have a problem at all with Doris turning us down for that reason, would actually respect that. Three very successful stints with you lot and as you say could be deemed a legend. This is also why although I think he would be a good signing for us I am not too fussed.
  4. That's what I thought. Would think Montrose is a more attractive move for him but perhaps Forfar are offering more wages that what SP is willing to give
  5. Doris to Forfar then. Hmm thought SP could have been after him too.
  6. You are absolutely welcome to him. He has just returned from his very unsuccessful loan at Forfar and he will now struggle to make our bench.
  7. Rory hands in a transfer request.....wow. you boys have got to be worried about relegation now.
  8. Expected a bit more from EF today. In Dowds and Wallace they have a great front two who will always cause problems. Thought Montrose played great today and did really well to ensure 3 points were gained. Matty Allan, Cammy Ballantyne and Lewis Milne were exceptional today and they could all have won MOTM. A number or chances not taken to killed the game off in the second half. Really hope SP has his eye on a goalscorer because I really think our squad can challenge for at least play offs.
  9. About time we beat East Fife at home. Expect a very tough game but I hope we can edge it. Last weeks performance will have given the team a lot of confidence and belief to go on and win this game too. Sena and Rennie back in the squad hopefully. Will be difficult for SP to change the team from last week.
  10. Joel McBeath confirmed returning to Ross County from his loan with Montrose.
  11. Couldn't agree more. If I was a Loon I wouldn't whinge about young players like Burns of Coupe I would moan about the overweight senior players who offer absolutely nothing, are probably on a high wage and continue to shout at their teammates. I reckon Irvine, Jackson, Forbes and Docherty are quite toxic for the dressing room, the sooner you get rid of them the better in my opinion.
  12. Brilliant win for the Mo. No idea what game Malcolm was watching saying that Forfar didn't deserve to lose. Montrose must have had about 20 chances and played Forfar off the park at times. Great character to come back from being down and some great performances across the park. Both Paul Watson and Terry Masson were immense today, used all their experience and completely controlled the midfield. [emoji122][emoji122][emoji122]
  13. Looking forward to the game. Although we got beat last week we should have taken a lot of confidence from the performance. Forfar have done pretty well since Malcolm came in so I think this will be a tight affair. Results havent gone our way the last couple of seasons at Station Park so that has got to change sometime. Reckon we will win 2-1
  14. Montrose: Best signing? Blair Lyons from University of Stirling or Mohammed Niang on loan from Partick Thistle Worst signing? Wouldnt say any have been that bad but will pick Aaron Lennox as he has made a couple of big mistakes in goal that has led to us getting beat Most improved player? Graham Webster. Always had the talent but has stepped up the consistent use of it this season Who's winning the league? Falkirk Who's finishing in the playoffs? Raith, Airdrie, Montrose Who's finishing 9th? Clyde Who's finishing 10th? Stranraer Highlight? Really enjoyed beating Airdrie 3-1 at the Penny Cars stadium Lowlight? Not getting our season going until about 8 games in. I think every Montrose fan was worried after the first quarter Best player in the league? Blair Lyons, Montrose or Declan McManus, Falkirk
  15. Apparently he is in discussions with them and St Johnstone about keeping them on. I think Cammy is a really good player and provides a lot of energy to our midfield. Struthers had to wait a while to get his chance but has now started three in a row I think. Doing a lot of good things, pacey, holds the ball up well. At times i cant work out if he is a striker or a winger.
  16. Paul Watson (Captain) is fit yes. Not sure if he will be playing as he hasn't been stating the last few games.
  17. Hoping for another win this weekend. Clyde not on the best of runs at the moment so we should definitely be looking to win this, especially with us being at home. Is Goodwillie fit and likely to play?
  18. Airdrie 2 - 0 Peterhead Falkirk 3 - 1 Raith Forfar 2 - 1 Dumbarton Montrose 3 - 0 Clyde Stranraer 0 - 1 East Fife
  19. Solid enough keeper. Did well initially well he came in from St Johnstone but put on a bit of weight, made a few mistakes and lost him place to Allan Fleming. Will always be a league winning champion!
  20. I have a quietly confident feeling that this could be an away win.
  21. Yes, he is a Financial Advisor and works in and around Dundee so working for Montrose suits him perfectly. Would be interesting to find out what full time clubs would go for him. The only club that may tempt him is Dunfermline as he played there for 10 years and is a bit of legend. Crawford seems to be doing a reasonable job there at the moment though. He recently said that he wants to make Montrose the best team in Angus so he'll need a bit of time yet to achieve that with Arbroath doing well in the championship.
  22. Christmas come early for all Mo fans! Having SP tied down until the end of the 22/23 season is a phenomenal bit of business. Arguably the best part time manager out there and he will no doubt be getting considered for full time jobs. [emoji108][emoji170][emoji871]
  23. Montrose were far the better team today and at times in the first half we played Rovers off the park. Can't quite believe we didn't even come away with a point.
