Weirdly it'd actually require special permission, and approval of other SPFL clubs:

    Covered Stadia
H2     No League Match or Play-Off Match shall take place at any stadium where the playing area is permanently covered or partially covered by a fixed or moveable roof without the prior written approval of the Board after consultation with the Clubs.

If it were up to me and I could cast Alloa's vote the Oriam is better equipped than Meadowbank.

However having played a few games on hot days indoors at Toryglen - it's really hard to avoid overheating. Don't think players would take to kindly to that in the long term.

Wonder what happened to him- went to Berwick on loan then I think he came off the bench once for Stenhousemuir the following season. I actually thought he was alright 🙂

Was back to futsal last time I saw him. He was okay but a bit lost in the increased physicality of 11 a side. Was fun to watch in smaller side games in training though.

  3. He's been described as a winger but he's been deployed as a converted wingback. I was tentative to tie him down for a position in the announcement. I wouldn't put it past him to be the left back on Saturday.

However since I saw this morning he's a former futsal player I'm expecting joga bonito.

Thanks to the QOS thread I've come to find out cross border loans don't count towards your tally of 5 loans in total so we still have 2 loans remaining and the full month of February to make them.

Domestic loans only. International ones need to go tonight.

Edit: I'm with you still two left in scotland

  5. Asked ChatGPT to make this statement any more outlandish. Was not disappointed. 🤣

    Spoiler

In a twist of cosmic proportions, the cosmos-aligned Hamilton Accies' intergalactic wonder-kid, the enigmatic Young Irish-American Centre Half, Josh O'Brien, has ascended to otherworldly negotiations, culminating in an other-dimensional contract with the USL Championship side Indy Eleven. Rumor has it that the deal was brokered during a secret meeting with extraterrestrial beings disguised as Club Director of Football Gerry Strain and representatives to Indy Eleven's Special Assistant to the President (Andy Piggush), who materialized mysteriously in the mystical realm of Lisbon.

The audacious American enterprise, known as the Quantum Quasar Indy Eleven, governed by the eccentric Turkish Billionaire & Real Estate Sorcerer Ersal Ozdemir, reportedly observed Josh O'Brien's ethereal progression since his initiation into the Claudio Ranieri-led Watford cult in the parallel Season 2021/22. Their decision to swoop in for the Accies' celestial Center Back was divinely inspired, according to whispers among the cosmic grapevine.

The emissary of earthly negotiations, Joshua Carabatsakis of the ESG (Extraterrestrial Soccer Guardians) Agency, ecstatically declared, "The inclusion of Josh in our constellation of Professional talent is a quantum leap for the cosmic soccer spectrum. Facilitating his celestial transition to Indy 11 during this interdimensional window is a monumental leap for the metaphysical evolution of Josh's ethereal athleticism. We extend our cosmic gratitude to Gerry Strain for harmonizing the celestial symphony and actualizing this intergalactic transfer."

Josh O'Brien, a temporal voyager in the spacetime continuum, shared, "This cosmic migration back to America wasn't foretold in the scrolls of my Professional Development plan for this earthly rotation, but Indy 11, with their grandiose ambitions, presented a celestial opportunity that required profound contemplation in the astral plane. After consulting with my cosmic kin, Gerry Strain, and the Club's cosmic sage, I decided to embark on this astral journey, bidding adieu to Hamilton for a cosmic reunion in the States.

Despite having a year remaining in my contractual pact with the Accies, this cosmic odyssey will undoubtedly unlock wormholes to unexplored dimensions, forging new paths for personal growth and transcendence within the cosmic game. Regrettably, I won't have the chance to convey gratitude to the earthly denizens of the Club, but I shall telepathically send vibrations of well-wishing and cosmic energy as they strive to manipulate the points matrix and ascend to League victory."

Club Supremo Strain, the earthly guardian of Hamilton Academical FC, somberly murmured from the mortal plane, "I, personally and cosmically, lament the astral departure of Josh from our earthly confines, especially considering his cosmic arrival in August and his potential at such a cosmic infancy. On behalf of Hamilton Academical FC, I project celestial blessings upon his cosmic journey Stateside, acknowledging his earthly Contribution, Professionalism, and Commitment during his ephemeral stint in the earthly sanctuary of Hamilton."

Based on what we are used to, if that's the worst thing our media guys do this year, it would be fantastic! (I accept your point and agree btw)

We used to complain about how poor the output was. Now we just wish they would stop altogether. Even speaking as someone who admits to not being  great with social media etc. It is mind blowing just how badly our club is at this sort of thing.

I know - just collecting it for the list of sins.

     wtf is with the 'commentary'?!

Now that I've listened back I'll give you that some odd moments. Possibly the hazards of doing editing in front of a pub dinner although I can't rule out not caring for watching anymore of the 0-5😂

The Internet thing was talking in the live stream about controlling the overlays - the control is internet based so really either of us can do it but Kieren gave me a concerned look at his phone before we soldiered on because it wasn't connecting to the wifi. Ideally you'd have a separate cameraman, commentators and producer. The only time we've had that is with pixellot. I was especially irritated at Motherwell because I thought I wouldn't have to multitask with the camera - its in the commercial agreement that host broadcaster should supply a feed to the away team but they were either knowingly ignorant (impossible because we made multiple requests to them for it) or they just messed us around.

The quiet bit is my own skill issue.  I was cutting bits of commentary at the end. I record my commentators on right and left. So if I want to cut one of them out I can just turn the left or right channel off to leave the crowd noise. Just not made a cut and muted the entire clip instead of the small section on the goal.

I've got the archive with both versions commentary/ambient noise recorded. Future generations can enjoy with or without

  8. I received a wee message today from footysab - a Japanese football fan who sponsored Steven Boyd, and George Stanger in the past few years. Gave us his review of Celtic's Japanese players for the programme against Celtic too.

He's traveling from Japan to Scotland next month to see his fellow Japanese Yutaro Oda at Hearts and wants to come to our game on Tuesday night against Annan!

How many "angry wee neds" were there?

Enough to employ 6-7 police. The angry wee neds are at our end too - the Edinburgh kids getting hit the other week are enough to give a parent a second thought about letting them go to the football. I know for a fact that was the case this week.

The quality is night and day to what they are producing now, the only reason I can presume is that they are editing from a copy of the live stream rather than by taking a recording directly from the camera - presumably to save time as replays will already be made for them.

I did get my hopes up when I saw  “high quality highlights” mentioned but sadly no change.

Going to say also editing from a copy of the live stream is *okay* at a push too - but the live stream needs to be good quality. This is my point with ParsTV  Scottishfootball.online - you are heavily limited in the bitrate you can send. So the recordings are handicapped by that.

I lost all my first half footage from Motherwell so I had to use the stream for Motherwell highlights and the little stutter the stream did at Sammon's goal still annoys me but beyond the scoreboard being different you'd not really notice otherwise. I assumed too on Saturday they were working on the actual memory card recording and this was an anything you can do we can do better... It was just words though.

Alloa fans - do you guys not do programmes any more, or did I just miss them? I know some clubs are going purely online now, just wanted to check as I collect them and need to see if I can pick one up elsewhere.

Nah you can buy them on the website. I wouldn't mind it being purely online but it's also printed.

We've only got wee guy in the ground selling at the away side so he may have sold out. I'll track down any tomorrow.

You're getting ripped to shreds by our fans today.

Again to open this conversation again for what exactly? On critical comments about Falkirk FC media output on a daft forum? I think I'll live.

I've already had my say on the artistic value of your graphic - it's pretty low effort and sometimes that is the right tone. I've had a couple people message me and ask me to explain it because they saw it and think it's tinpot 😂

And finally your last comment to me was something I might say to someone who was a good friend - certainly not a stranger. So excuse me if I laugh at your moral high ground.
