You just keep your team beating or drawing with our rivals and you are doing well

Only if you give us some free points once you've won the league. 😂

Cove, Hamilton, and Falkirk could all be dead rubbers by the time we get there at the end of the season. We might need those points.

Not for me. The YT video is at 1080, which is high resolution by their standards. I don't think I've seen any YT video at higher resolution, though it's not my area of expertise so I'm happy to be corrected. I assume the Alloa TV guy who posts on here and seems to know his stuff may have an opinion.

And yes, it's disappointing that he didn't get the ball flying into the net. However, we've now scored 53 competitive goals this season and I don't think the camera operator has missed any others. The camera decided to go "techie" at the wrong time for one of our goals at Cove but that's hardly his fault.

It's the same old story when you're involved with a high profile organisation like a football club. No-one is perfect and everyone makes mistakes, which I assume that was. When you get it right, no-one remembers. But when you get it wrong, no-one forgets.

I've been at Hamilton and it shakes like mad up there. Especially if you have a standing commentary team. I tend to sit and try to keep still. Don't imagine it's helped by the strong winds. You're spoiled by the concrete platform to film from at TFS - you can mitigate the movement to an extent.

The other issue is just the focus. Yes the resolution is 1080p but because it's slightly out of focus with the rain it's just a blur. 1080p50 is also not massively great at movement. It's just ok these days.. Check out Stranraer's highlights for some incredibly sexy 4k footage. You can see the individual frames are like crystal. Streaming at 4k won't happen any time soon and to edit 4k video quickly you need to spend more money on your editing rig or just accept it'll take longer so I'll not be doing it for a bit.

Missing goals happens but you have got an individual operator though so you lose points for that. I've got an excuse of a stream, replays, live chat and commentary to multi-task.

  3. Barring the late drama would've been a game to forget for me. Cove had a good ten minutes. We then had a good ten minutes, which culminated in Burrell's really tidy run and finish for the goal against the run of play. It felt very bogged down in midfield for long periods but credit to the boys second half especially, we used the ball better than Cove did and limited them to very little going forward while winning the midfield battle. I've seen us get nothing plenty of times with more chances created but it's a good move for the equaliser and a consecutive run of miskicks for the last minute tap in for Taggs. It was deserved on the balance of the game.

I'm a big fan of data in football but I'd tread with caution when using xG at this level of football. It's heavily influenced by shot location which is fine in the top leagues where there are multiple camera angles and the tracking data can give the exact coordinates. Less reliable as you get further down the leagues.

I'd love to believe that data but Accies are up there on merit and I think the betting markets will struggle to split us next weekend.

Like I say I've watched plenty of Hamilton games too. I don't think they are as impressive as Falkirk have been ie - the eye test has been applied. Not just looking at a table.

Then how in God's name can you say we're overachievers? We've got the second highest points per game which is clearly at least our level.

Behave. We're the league's top scorers and have the league's meanest defence. We were shite today but we're top of the league with Falkirk because we've been consistently one of the best sides in the league.

By comparison Edinburgh last season were overachieving to be sitting second at new years. I don't expect you to maintain the same level of point scoring.  I don't expect you to fall away as dramatically either but I think currently your points in the bank is painting a 'false' picture.

How many times have you actually seen us to come to that conclusion?

I usually put the games on Wyscout when I have a quiet Sunday. In terms of minutes watched I've probably watched more League 1 football than anyone but the most keen analysts.

Alloa were better team in the 1st half but Accies much better in 2nd half.

We didn't ask a lot of questions but hit the woodwork twice and O'Hara missed a sitter near the end. Alloa had a few efforts deflected but can't remember Fulton having much to do.

Will be good to see highlights to see if ref got penalty incident right.

    I wouldn't have given a penalty but I wouldn't have booked O'Hara either.

  8. Can only echo the comments that Hamilton are overachievers. It was galling to lose out on the first meeting and today it was just as sore not to come away with a win. Rode their luck heavily with some of the chances they conceded and didn't ask us an awful lot of questions.

Wales and Steven's deals must finish January. Hopefully both can extend. Not sure what Andy's views will be on which areas he wants to strengthen using the loan market. I suppose we'll find out. Keeper might be one?

There's generally always a recall clause too in January like with Offord or Zanatta.

I'd fully expect them to go back to their clubs but they've both played for Killie and St Johnstone so can't go on loan to anyone else. Unless they feature in the first team plans we've hopefully got a decent chance of getting them back. I don't think it did Offord any favours sitting on the bench.

Is it teams option to cup tie players? Still don't understand it, I remember Euan Henderson when on-loan from Hearts played in the cup against Bonnyrigg under Barry Ferguson, so how can Bobby Wales and Taylor Steven not play? Just due to the clubs saying they can play or they can't?

Generally there's a clause in the agreement that either says we need to give permission or the player is not to be played in cup competitions.

Bobby Wales and Taylor Steven were getting sub appearances for their parent clubs and presumably in later rounds than we will be they might need players. They want to keep the option open.

Henderson was part of a big Hearts squad and they clearly didn't see him in their plans for that season. East Kilbride were out so they weren't bothered about Ally Roy for this one.
