  1. Personally, i haven't spoken to any Glens fans who don't support the clubs decision to withdraw from competitions this season! Let others say what they want but imo they've put the interests of the club first, if manager and players don't agree, that's their prerogative!
  2. Can someone from Glenafton Athletic tell us if we're in or out! Absolute shambles!!! [emoji848]
  3. Canny bt a gid singalong wae the A bros!! [emoji4]
  4. New Idles and Working Mens Club albums will be on end of year list, for sure!! [emoji106]
  5. I must have been a fanboy then [emoji6], no picture sleeve - no purchase!!! [emoji16]
  6. Ha Ha, blast fae the past, the Tygers, ma pal used to go out with one of them back then!! [emoji4]! Ayr Pavillion was a great place for gigs, pity the ravers fucked it up in the 90s!!
  7. Why no speak to your big spending committee and ask them???
  8. Think the Valves supported them on Black and White tour! Was that the time the stripper came on for Nice n Sleazy? The Curves supported them in Oct 79 at Apollo and Modern Eon in February 81!
  9. Wished I hadn't stopped buying vinyl when CDs arrived on the scene in the early 90s, albums from that era on vinyl are a fortune now on Discogs and ebay. Now back to buying vinyl only and have been buying fairly frequently since the virus hit. The last one I got was Dions new album - Blues With Friends, which is great! Waiting for Idles new one to arrive (coloured & deluxe versions), Working Men's Club debut and Morning Glory picture disc! [emoji4]
  10. Auchinleck gettin hit hard wae Railway an Madhoose shutting too!!!
  11. Was this the tour with the Modettes supporting? If so was at the Apollo one, Madness were great live then!! [emoji4]
  12. Just managed 2 before the Virus hit, the Interrupters at barrowland and Anti Flag at the Garage, both excellent gigs! Haven't paid for any streamed gigs yet but maybe go for the New Model Army one coming up!
  13. Andy, i appreciate your desire to see teams playing again, I really do, but, i honestly think clubs will go out the game because of this pandemic, I'm not smart enough to know the answer to all of this but with teams training again and matches proposed to start, where's the money to come from if no fans, hospitality, bar areas not open. Maybe a few could cope, Talbot, Darvel, Pollok spring to mind but most teams including my own would struggle to survive! I sincerely hope I'm wrong but I'm with the man of many names on this one!
  14. Listen in Glasgow was superb, Big John from the Exploited worked there for a while! You could buy photos from nearly every Apollo gig there a couple of days after they happened, think it was Harry P who took them, got the full Clash set from the July 78 gig wae Joe with his Get To f**k, t shirt on! Speed records in Ayr was good too, then latterly Up records! [emoji106]
  15. Serious Question! When was the last time a top East team beat a top West team in the Scottish Junior Cup?
  16. Got Manics 'Done and Dusted', Nazareth, This Flight Tonight /Love Hurts, singles. Still to get, the Menzingers album, Murder Capital live ep and when I can afford it, the Gary Numan triple live album!.
  17. Was at the gig, was kind of surreal when coming out the gig and it still being daylight!!! [emoji16] Were brilliant tho!!
  18. The Beatles never played Cumnock Town Hall! The Who played Auchinleck tho!
  19. Really enjoyed this for Joe, thought the Interrupters version of Get down Moses was great! Good to see the man is still held in high regard!
  20. Agree with you, it's a return to form for them!!
  21. Yip! Dick wid sort them oot!! As long as they leave Wee Marcelo at Leeds to carry on the great work he's doin there! Heard Messi wants him to take over??
  22. Loved the Ruts back in the day! Remember Malcolm dying had a more profound impact on me as a teenager than Sid, who at that time was a god to punks! Made me realise from a young age that drugs definitely weren't the answer! Love in Vain ( b side of Staring at the Rude Boys, I think [emoji848]) is still one of my favourite songs of that era! Saw Ruts DC a few months after Malcolm died, supporting the Damned at the Mayfair and it just wasn't the same! Saw them a few times since and they're a really tight band and seem genuinely nice guys, never met them tho! The Crack is still one of the best Punk albums ever tho [emoji106]
