I genuinely think Falkirk have been hard done by with the league finishing early. However I do think Mr Deans has a bit of a cheek saying other clubs acted with no sporting integrity after his clubs recent record and the fine they had to pay - you can't always get everything your own way.

I know exactly what you mean - my Neice was stopped by the Guardia Civil while driving into Madrid and told that she could be fined thousands of euro if her journey was not necessary. These are strange times. Hopefully the football starts again soon with fans able to watch, here and in Spain!

Pet As you rightly say, only 43% of people voted. I fully appreciate that the whole voting thing was a joke - but I genuinely don't believe most Catalonians want independance from Spain ? Who really knows, but the family I have in Spain certainly don't want Catalonia to leave (that includes family members in Barcelona). Anyway, as said, I don't want to get into a big debate on something that is not my problem - just wanted to ask a question and wondered what people thought what would happen with the Spanish league. Being a Morton Fan i look forward to meeting up with Hearts next season - I haven't seen a Ton v Hearts game sine the 80's. I genuinely think Hearts have been hard done by (as have Partick, Falkirk etc) but these are strange times.

Wastecoatwilly i don't want to get into a political argument (you have your thoughts and I have mine) but my second home is in Madrid, where I have family. I kind of agree with them that Catalonia had a vote and decided to stay Spanish. Anyway, politics aside, do you think the Spanish League should have been called or finished behind closed doors?

Hey Wastecoatwilly Hope you don't mind me asking, but why the 'Crown of Aragon' flag for your avatar, are you Catalonian? If so, how do you think the Spanish league will get going again ? Do you think they will get it up and running better than in Scotland?

Fair enough - But is throwing lots of cash at a Court battle they are unlikely to win the best option. I would have thought that money would be better spent on wages (unless the legal funds are coming from personal funds from board members?)

Dons - Good points well made. Do you think the league should have been called, null & void? Your right that Hearts had not yet been relegated, the same way Celtic hadn't won the league and others hadn't yet qualified for Europe. I fully appreciate your point on low paid workers, but is throwing money at a (probably doomed) Court battle the answer? As said, these are strange times, I just personally think that we have to accept the league is over and hope that we can have some (fan watched) football next season. i know there has been Clubs who have benefited and Clubs who have lost out - but under the circumstances I think there was no other way forward (again just my opinion)

I have nothing against Hearts, but I find it incredible in these times that they won't just accept relegation? Am I right in saying that they had only won 4 games (worst record in the league) and were 4 points adrift with the 2nd worst goal difference?. I appreciate that it must be really hard to take for club and fans - but I honestly think they should accept the decision and set themselves up for an attack on the Championship (why waste money on legal arguments?)

Have you ever been to Cappielow Park ? If you had, you would know it was a real ground - like 'Love St' (St Mirren Park), Douglas Park, Brockville, Somerset Park, Broomfield etc. Enjoy Legoland!

Why would it ? I agree that it would appear to be very unlucky, but under these sircumstanses I really don't see it has a 'travesty'

Vinnyjag, While I agree it would seem very unfair if the league stopped now and Dundee Utd were not awarded the league, but it just wouldn't be right. That would mean all clubs would have to stay in their current league positions (look what has happened in the past, The Ton managed to throw away a title, The Midden managed to pull themselves off the bottom). As you rightly say, it's a complex issue (and a financial nightmare for all clubs), but unless the league can be played out in full, I think it is unfair to award promotion or relegation! I know that's sh!te, but that just seems fair?

First time I have dropped down here into the league one forum as I am honestly not someone for pointing and laughing, and I have never had anything against FFC (quite the opposite, used to and watch them with my Mate that stayed in Bonnybridge) But, the amount of shite 'some' Falkirk 'fans' gave Moton during the whole McKinnon issue was well out out of order. Having said that, some Morton 'Fans' were also well out of order with their comments (maybe understandably due to the way McKinnon conducted himself?) Just wanted to make the point that I said at the time, you were paying Compensation, then fines for someone with no integrity! Again, nothing against the majority of Falkirk fans, but your club, BOD and certain fans behaved very poorly. To be honest, I said at the time that I would rather have kept McKinnon (thank fu(k that didn't happen), but due to the way he left (not speaking to the players etc etc I was glad to see the back of him! Well, at least your 'rid of him now.

I would agree with most of your mates comments , although I do think there was also a very good call for a Ton penalty (and two free kicks just outside the Arbroath box, which not only not given, were given as Arbroath free kicks?), I'm not saying that, on our performance, we deserved much, but I do think it is a bit unfair to pinpoint the Arbroath Penalty claim and ignore the Morton one. To be honest I thought the referee was poor today (not a great surprise these days). As I said in my previous post, I thought Arbroath played more football than us in the second half (without bringing out any real saves from our keeper) and thought we were very poor. We seemed to be second to every ball (apart from our defenders, who one a lot of balls, before hoofing it up the park), when we did win the ball in midfield, no player seemed to have confidence and just wanted to get rid of it, like a hot potato. I did however think that Strapp did quite well in the first half and at least seemed to have a bit of heart. Overall, a pretty lucky 3 points.

To be honest I thought it was more 90 mins of hoofball by Morton, thought Arbroath played a bit of football in the second half (without really bringing out a save from our keeper). I honestly thought Morton were very poor in the second half (although they did defend their goal well). We can't seem to string a few passes together - it's pump it forward regardless of whether there is someone there or not - very poor. (Although the three points were welcome, if not totally deserved)

The Ton were sh1te yesterday, but not as bad as that - Morten I get, I don't like but I get - that just doesn't work, dear dear, try harder.

I thought both teams were pretty pish to be honest. Thistle looked slightly less pish first half, but neither team played much football in the first half. Second half, slightly better from both teams. Morton were far better when Sutton came on., not just his physical presence, but we just started playing better football (on the deck)). Your keeper did help us out a bit with our first. One thing Morton will be this season is fit, we will score a few late goals, Im not sure we we will be pretty to watch, but if we could only get a good couple of decent central defenders in we could do ok.

So you would actually want Bain to have a worse injury! Any time I've watched a Celtic game on TV, he seems to have performed well? Very odd post, actually wanting one of your first team squad to be "properly fucked" !

No - You own McKinnon (Ha Ha) and Ton cast off's (apart from Tidser who you are over paying for in League One), enjoy !
