Most notably though has been our inability to beat or even compete with fellow full time sides across the season. We were routinely dispatched twice by a QOS side who were at that point looking like massive favourites to finish bottom of the championship. Uninspiring performances against thistle, Morton and 10 man st mirren have undoubtedly placed doubt amongst many supporters.

Agree that the performances against teams higher up the leagues was disappointing, other than the first 15 minutes in the league cup against QoS we never looked like taking anything from those games.

I assume that the AGM will take place via a zoom meeting as it did last year. From memory members were invited to send questions in advance of that meeting, but on the night something was said along the lines of 'we can't figure out a practical way to take questions via zoom, so we won't bother and if you sent one by email we'll email you back with an answer' (I may be mis-remembering that so please correct me if I'm wrong)

My recollection is that there was no invitation to submit questions in advance; it was simply announced at the AGM that no questions would be taken.

For the numbers that were online it was a strange decision.

Our final home game at Hampden has already taken place. The club are just hoping that's not the case but the reality is the SFA have no intention of letting us have a "farewell game" there with fans. It would take a massive shift among  the main influencers on their board for that to change and I can't see it.

As for work on the place for the Euros, UEFA take over the ground a month in advance to set up all their shite in and around the ground, like their own branding, sponsors /advertising logos, tarting up the concourses, hospitality lounges, media centres, getting the pitch sorted ( possibly re-laid) numerous security checks. They did the exact same before the European Cup final in 2002 and UEFA Cup Final in 2007

It was a two week period for the Champions League and UEFA finals, hence why we were able to play the home leg of play off semi final at Hampden in 2007 but not the home leg of the final.

Agree with you about the SFA, they have been trying to get us out of Hampden since the day they took it over, having finally achieved it I struggle to see them letting us back in, even just for one game.

This move really doesn't matter as others have stated, it's essentially saying you'll have a different camera angle to watch the game from.

You are correct in terms of the slightly different camera angle, but to announce one venue as our home ground and then announce a different venue six days later does not inspire confidence in those who are in charge of our club.

Wasn't it the SPFL Competition Committee that forced the inclusion of Premiership 'colts' into the Challenge Cup? They seem to think there's some benefit in 2nd XIs playing against lower division first teams.

No doubt at the behest of Rangers and Celtic to try and normalise the idea of U21 teams being part of the senior set up.

The Scottish Government trying to redact it's legal advice from the CoS trial is very telling.

Will be interesting to see the date the SG were advised by their lawyers that they would lose the JR. If it's only a few days before the SG folded then it bebunks Salmond's theory that it was strung out in the hope that a guilty verdict at the criminal trial would kill off the JR.

If there is a gap of weeks (or even months) then it backs up Salmond's claim.

  7. Think Leagues One and Two have been used as a sacrificial pawn by the football authorities to try and placate the Scottish Government and avoid all games being postponed.

Can't see how that is feasible but they will have to test the players now.

I don't think we will be back playing in 3 weeks and there is little chance of finishing the season unless it is extended beyond April.

Agree, no chance we will be back in three weeks. The SPFL could cancel the final round of nine games in the two divisions affected and, if football can be restarted by the end of February, then we could pick up where we left off and finish the second round of matches, so the season has 18 games with everyone having played each other home away.

At the summer AGM there was nothing of substance about any of what is happening now.

And no questions allowed either, not even via email in advance of the meeting, even though the club were in the midst of the biggest period of change since the club was founded.

I think East leaving was his decision.

Yes, that's what I heard as well, as he wanted full time football. He did take a slightly unusual route via Cliftonhill to get there, but he got there in the end.

That has him covering himself in case we beat them and don't forget that they had two players who Ray released, as not good enough for QP, playing for them.

Not quite, McGrory was released last summer, East left the previous summer when Mark Roberts was in charge.

    It’s a SPFL matter.

The SFA will happily re-route the match officials.

But the SFA might be so happy to have another game at Hampden.

Although it would mean one less game on the pitch later in the season which will give it more recovery time before the Euros.

Dundonald was the last ground I went to before lockdown- (I didn't get into another game for 8 months until I was asked to take photos at Edinburgh United..)

It's not a bad ground, pitch can be a bit swampy. It's a shame you're missing out on a good trip

According to a poster on the Domestic Cup forum, Dundonald's floodlights are out of action until the end of January, so they might switch game to Stark's Park like they did with their tie yesterday.

One game from the round is also scheduled to be live on BBC on the Monday night.
