  1. Gotta be a significant improvement on both Leighfield and Parry. McCall delivers once again. It's up to the players now.
  2. Nice to see yer da' is moderating your posts now before allowing you to post.
  3. Absolutely correct and all the more galling given the fact we apparently have a multimillionaire benefactor putting a load of cash in at the moment. On that point, I seem to recall the board stating that the significant sums being donated would only continue providing progress was being made. Should we be relegated, I assume the mystery benefactor will be pulling the plug?
  4. What an embarrassment you are. The difference between you and almost every Clyde fan who ever lived is we would never even think to look at the Morton forum/club thread, never mind post this kinda pish on it. I hope you are as thoroughly ashamed of yourself as I am of you as a human being. My only consolation is that you are not a Clyde fan. Morton are welcome to you.
  5. Mr Thomson I presume? Where did I say the apology was owed due to a "goalkeeping error"? He needs to apologise for the fact we are now firmly rooted at the bottom of the lowest league of any merit as a direct result of the Duffy shitshow which he orchestrated and then tried to salvage by creating shitshow 2.0 with McLean at the helm. Nights like tonight are just visual reminders of his incompetence.
  6. Any chance we could spend tomorrow using the mystery benefactor's millions to snap up the better half of the East Kilbride squad? Leave them enough to get over the line but weak enough to allow us to pump them in the inevitable relegation playoff.
  7. You guys can scapegoat Leighfield all you want but I'm still seeing some pretty awful defending in the build up to these goals. Yes, he's a poor keeper but if anyone thinks we're bottom of this league due to the goalkeeper they need their head examined. He is a factor in it of course but I'd say there are far more serious issues which have contributed to where we find ourselves. On a side note, I think the chairman should issue a public and personal apology to any Clyde fan who made the effort to attend tonight's game. Sickening enough witnessing it via BBC updates from the comfort of my home, imagine freezing your arse off on a school night up in deepest darkest Elgin. Doesn't bear thinking about.
  8. If that's true then the c*** needs an intervention. Imagine obsessing over Clyde as a non supporter....doesn't bear thinking about.
  9. I seem to recall the previous transfer window seeing us miss out on a prolific striker from the Juniors (I think?) due to the board believing the asking price was too high and that the player's club were taking advantage of the "mystery benefactor" situation. I just hope they're not taking the same line in this transfer window. If a club are asking over the odds for a player it's unfortunate but we're not really in a position to walk away at this stage. It's do or die so get a few players signed now FFS - overpriced or not!
  10. Any chance of splashing a bit of this supposed cash? Jesus Christ... I'm not generally a proponent of throwing money at a problem (especially when every penny counts) but the mystery benefactor's cash ain't going to be much use to us in the Lowland League. In fact, should we be relegated I understand the funds are getting pulled - progression being a necessary requirement for the cash to continue coming in. What the hell is going on?
  11. I actually think Jimmy Choo might be Gordon Thomson.
  12. Given our new mystery benefactor I wonder if we are able to better most of the other teams in the division in terms of pay/potential signing fees? I don't buy the argument that players are turning us down due to our current league position. Anyone with half a brain can see that with McCall at the helm we are already a very different team from the one under Duffy and McLean. We are also not so far behind the likes of Forfar and Elgin that relegation looks anywhere near a certainty at this point - particularly when you factor in the last couple of results. Money talks and I think players will ultimately base decisions primarily on pay/conditions - our location also helps with this. Maybe the money isn't there or it's only at a level where we are on a par with other teams in the division but I'm clinging on to the hope that we can outbid those around us. I guess we'll know soon enough.
  13. Every team in the division are going to be absolutely $hitting it from us after today.
  14. I'm gonna go further and predict that Ross Lyon actually steps up and has a reasonable game as club captain. New year, new Ross.
  15. The manager isn't used to getting pumped all the time though and neither (hopefully!) will the majority of the squad come the end of the January window. New year, new Clyde.
  16. The only consolation I have for deciding not to go to that is the feeling I would probably have left in disgust when Dumbarton's 4th went in and missed our amazing comeback regardless. Well done Clyde and God bless Ian McCall!
  17. Did Jim Duffy's retirement plan include betting his old age pension against Clyde every week this season? Would explain the majority of the current squad. Are they even footballers?
  18. Yeah, I tend to agree. Hopefully everyone recognises this but also the fact that there are some (albeit very slight!) grounds for optimism with McCall coming in to steady things. Hoping for a few more supporters than usual making it along today to back the team given the importance of the match and also how crucial this period is for the club. It's getting close to make or break time.
  19. Good to see most of the players putting in a shift and working hard for each other. We didn't play particularly well but as others have said, we didn't need to. Looks like McCall is already half way towards sorting out the lack of confidence and at the very least has us organised and much more disciplined. He may be a Thistle b****** but he's OUR Thistle b****** now. I know it's early days but let's get the cheque book out in Jan and really go for it. If we could even make the playoffs it would be a turnaround worthy of a Netflix documentary. Step aside Wrexham!
  20. Why don't you come down and count them?
  21. Levein is almost as big a charlatan as Mick Kennedy.
  22. I don't suppose you're available to manage the team?
