The north curve is the standing section at CP, not everyone in the north curve is in the green brigade.

My two best pals are ST ticket holders in the standing area of North Curve, in total I know 5 guys that have adjoining spaces, they are maybe 10 rows above the GB section & probably have around over 100 years accumulated ST holding at CP. Every single one of them hates the GB, like others have said, it started as a focal point for singing / chants to increase atmosphere but now it’s become “look at us”.

A fan group like they started as, with the correct motivations could really help an anti-bigotry campaign, but of course that’ll never happen as they are complete edge-lords.

Braverman just doesn't seem to have any depths to which she won't stoop. I mean, that should be kind of obvious by now but still ...

An utterly vile excuse for a human being, she’s as nasty as they come, and for what? A need for power, that’s all it is. With power comes wealth.

I’m genuinely in despair at the state of politics in this country (and beyond), a reset it required & im not sure how that’s achieved?

Its very difficult to think of one MP on either front bench who seems to have an ounce of compassion, who isn’t just wholly dedicated to self promotion & will say whatever they feel they need to, to gain power. I’m genuinely finding it hard to find one principled politician in government or on the opposition front bench. It’s sickening.

  3. Getting away from the women’s game for a second & concentrating on the community side of things, I was at Links Park on Tuesday night for my grandsons training session & there were 5 groups of youth training in the hour I was there. If even 10% of those start attending semi-regularly it’ll be a huge boost to the club, the fact that our women’s team now plays in the SWPL is due a lot to the community spirit of the club & the work done in previous years to explore finance from all angles.  First women’s game of the season (albeit v Celtic) had a crowd of over 400, ok the admission price is greatly reduced but I doubt very much if that didn’t contribute to the club coffers. Also see many more girls wearing club merchandise than ever before, so even on a purely financial basis I think at best it’s a borderline argument, certainly at my club.

  4. My first comment on this thread was in response to MT when I jokingly said he knew how to suck the joy out of everything, now tho, he’s got me convinced.

This campaign & indeed this squad can now never be anything other than competent to me now.

It survived without VAR because there wasn't the technology available to identify and publicise the mistakes of the officials to a mass audience.

VAR is practically nothing to do with technology advancing IMO, it’s all to do with the big money clubs not willing to lose out on a few extra millions due to some other ridiculously rich clubs overpaid striker having a toenail offside, it’s entirely against the spirit & nature of the game, get it to f**k.

    Bit of a stretch.

Heroic at home against Spain. Poor in Norway, but for a crazy couple of minutes.

    Competent elsewhere.

Some people just love to suck the joy out of everything.

On last nights showing it’s perfectly possible we absolutely pump Morway at Hampden next month, I hope we do & every single squad member & backroom staff get a hero’s reception at full time from a rocking Hampden crowd.

  7. Just to chip in with “the ref got confused with his signal- it was obviously disallowed for offside” argument.

Take this so far to f**k, then take it a little further.

The referee is supposed to be international class if the “pressure” of looking at VAR makes him forget hand signals that he must make many times every match then he’s not fit for purpose, but we already knew that after McGinn was flattened.

VAR is a farce anyway, but knowing that decisions made with VAR will be under scrutiny, especially in such an important game you’d think the referee would take a breath & ensure the correct signal given. This is compounded even more by the in stadia screens & UEFA confirmation.

  8. I also think a negative result for Norway on Sunday (draw preferably) will lift a lot of pressure from the squad, especially going into the last two fixtures potentially off the back of three losses. Knowing we are there & both Norway & Georgia having nothing tangible to play for could make all the difference between pot 1 (draw) and potentially pot 3/4.

Continuing to debate this to the end of time isn’t good for mine or anyone else’s mental health. Sadly we’ve lost. Let’s hope for the grubbiest 0-0 draw in Oslo on Sunday with multiple red cards.

This! A draw in Oslo and everything is golden again.

Gutted for the lads last night & it’s unlikely McTominay will score another goal of that quality in such an important game again so I’m especially sick for him.
