  1. Calm down, by definition if you are Entry licensed then you have "failed" to meet the Bronze criteria (as you admit yourself).
  2. Regarding the "prize fund", can anyone (@Kennie @glensmad) confirm if the £2k for the quarter-final losers is a guarantee from the SJFA (i.e. taken from the gate receipts first of all) or a payment from the SJFA on top of the split gate and travel guarantee?
  3. Suppose no one can guarantee that the 5 SPFL clubs with Entry licences will be compliant by 1 July either. Of course we don't know exactly what the first team / legal admin criteria being failed by East Kilbride are, could be things they wouldn't sort until they know they have won the league so the SPFL could give them time if plans are in place to meet them.
  4. (3:15) Should get your eyes checked then, it's obviously for the swinging arm from number 9 which appears to strike the head of the EK player.
  5. Since relegation came in - 19 points for Berwick the year they went down (Brechin had 10 and 17 but not full seasons, which would've been 16 and 22 based on PPG for 36 games), prior to that you had East Stirlingshire with 8 and 13 in 02/03 and 03/05 and Albion Rovers with 18 in the first season 94/95.
  6. Officially confirmed today that there will be a club promoted from tier 6 to the Lowland League at the end of the season (a licensed club is guaranteed to win the EOSFL). Also looking likely that a club will be relegated from the Lowland League as Clyde are 10 points adrift of Forfar and 12 behind Elgin.
  7. How has the ref decided it was held up in the first place, like it went from a foot to underneath a Scotland player's body on the try line, did he see some French hands underneath it or something.
  8. Surely only works if you go into an area where kids and families are not already attending a football club (presumably doing a similar thing)? Just in the east end you've got Celtic, and then four WOS clubs of varying levels (also Finnart when they are at Crownpoint) offering cheaper alternatives. Where is the gap in the market and location for this base that Clyde are aiming for?
  9. I'm sure it's less about the distance but more that the players/officials access is protected.
  10. There was also 3 away cup ties in that time which are split gates (though one was a trip to Brora). Two home games either side of new year being postponed won't have helped.
  11. It is a licence requirement for Bronze grounds that there are no non-football markings on the pitch so that'd presumably rule that out.
  12. In other words a club that wants to move away from a ground with a running track, has to get a smaller club to go back to a ground with a running track.
  13. You can't even be consistent from post to post - you bemoan the fact that clubs are now spending too much money and are unsustainable, then next post you're saying that clubs in the Juniors should've just been more competitive (i.e. spent money) and win the league to access the Scottish Cup. Fortunately access to the Scottish Cup is now available to those who invest in their club and facilities, and even smaller clubs like Carluke can achieve this. Bit late for that, the LL already has four ex-SPFL clubs (plus Gretna) and none look like returning any time soon.
  14. Sorry, by "this stage" I meant the upcoming SJC quarters, and yes I did look back before the exodus where usually 3/8 were non-WOS teams. You got beat by the second worst team in the Lowland League, I don't think you're in any place to talk about other clubs cup results.
  15. The Junior Cup does not have prize money, the clubs get paid from the gate money with the SJFA guaranteeing a certain amount each round - £2k for the upcoming quarter-finals for example, meaning if there's a big enough crowd the SJFA aren't paying out any money. (unsure if that table in the rules means both clubs or only the losers in each round get the money listed?) Also 24/80 WOSFL clubs do not take part in the Junior Cup btw. Voluntary except for the East and North Region clubs of course. Am I a young arty farty new age type for thinking that the SJFA should be doing more to help smaller clubs with travel expenses rather than guaranteeing so much "prize money" in the latter stages? Well at this stage it's basically a WOS Cup, with only 1 non-WOS team in the quarters in the last five tournaments, compared to usually 3 before the East teams left.
  16. I considered that until I realised it was for the Dundee player at the top...
  17. It's similar but not the same, penalties are a special case as there is a specific table of offences and sanctions and it's basically the same as VAR getting involved for goal/penalty decisions. Also, if you watch the kick off again the Dundee player stops running and then sprints again, so not that much of an advantage. The push, well there's obviously contact, there question is how much versus the Livi player already being off balance - if the ref said the VAR that they'd seen it but didn't think it was enough for a foul I'm not sure the VAR can call it a clear and obvious error.
  18. VAR does not intervene to ensure the correct procedure is followed at restarts (makes sense as after all, once play has restarted VAR cannot get involved). And if you are doing it for kick-offs then it also needs to be done for free kicks, throw-ins and corners leading to a goal/penalty/red card.
  19. Do you think this should also apply to SPFL clubs such as Stirling Albion and Spartans?
  20. Saturday 16th March is free for both, and so is 20th April. That's the final day of the Highland League season so in theory the Midlands champion should be decided on that date if there is to be an immediate play-off v HL club 18 on the next two Saturdays (or maybe it gets delayed if either league runs over). That's 25 Wed/Sat matchdays to play Lochee's 18 league + Junior Cup + Inter-regional + East Region cup ties.
  21. The #1 tracked flight from Stansted had two goes at Edinburgh and is now heading across the Irish Sea, two more Ryanair flights about to try...
  22. There's a crossdressing Twitch streamer that was offered $300k to get implants for a year, thought about it but said no.
  23. That going to be played before 3rd February?
  24. Think that would only really affect Tranent and Bo'ness in tier 5, either some more standing enclosures to be built at non-league level in general or those small 100 seat stands where there's already lots of cover (for those looking to get to the SPFL of course).
  25. Screenshot, no Pollok players in the line of sight or in an offside position but even if there was the referee is the one who would make the call on the line of sight. Plus of course you need the ball to have actually been played first for there to be an offside and the referee didn't indicate an indirect free kick later. Assistant already has his flag up before it's kicked! Must've given it for the coming together closest to the assistant. Fortunately it didn't affect the game but I'd say the assistant and more importantly the referee have forgotten the first point of law 12 which is "Direct and indirect free kicks and penalty kicks can only be awarded for offences committed when the ball is in play."
