    4-3-3

    Marshall/McLoughlin

    Palmer-----Gallagher/McKenna-----Cooper-----Robertson

    Jack/McGregor-----McTominay-----Fleck

    Christie-----Armstrong/McGinn

    Dykes/McBurnie

Block passes into the centre backs and let them just header everything. Force teams out wide. Get Christie and Armstrong/McGinn running beyond the striker.

If we played all of them we'd still be shit

Top of the table has as much relevance of Clyde sitting top of the 3rd div after 1st game of the sesson , The Year "New Rangers" were in our division...

Someone ought to tell Radio Scotland show tonight at FTemoji85.png

Darren Fletcher is the only one who even half pretends to speak his mind

    The rest are just apologists

A good performance and 3 points (with a half decent formation/starting 11) and I'd be happy to forget about Friday's toothless display.

4 points from the first 2 games would have been a good start, so if we've got lucky enough that the new Czech squad are bad enough to lose to us then I'll take it all day long.

Knowing us very well a sqeaked 1-0 victory regardless of anything else will do just fine

That’s a fair point. Palmer played CB at times for Sheff Wed last season. Surely he’s an ideal CB/RB in a 3-4-3?

That would give Forrest more comfort in going forward. If McTominay was played on that side of midfield in the 4, he’d provide more cover. Not so much needed on the left where two world class left backs are more comfortable.

As long as Forrest's arse cheeks are comfy on the bench

It would be a new one in the long history of brutal Scottish results for us to lose this match. I can’t find any bookies giving odds for this at all.

A wonderful lucky opportunity to get our world cup chances back on track

Surely even we can't f**k it up...

It is like saying the Scotland squad will be made up from 4 players from St Johnstone, 4 players from Livingston, 4 Celtic players that weren't good enough for the original squad and a player from Motherwell.

It is players that will never ordinarily be near an international squad.

But.........it is also players that will never ordinarily be near an international squad and may want to make the most of the opportunity. They will be playing against a team of folk who haven't played like that for some time.

As long as they aren't playing against Callum McGregor or James Forrest it should be fine

Yes, I know, that's the usual response. It doesn't take into account that most of us know hee-haw about the bulk of Israel's players. The next step is usually, "well, they'd be playing at the top European clubs if they were any good," which completely ignores where the bulk of our squad ply their trade.

I'd imagine that over on Israel's Pie & Bovril, there won't be much fear of anything we have. Quite rightly, as it turns out.

    Ignore the facts fairdoos

We have much more playing at a higher level

That's a few performances against Israel recently where we've been roughly on par. Anyone still determined we're much better and should be scudding them? Is it still the manager's fault?

    Look at their players

    On paper we have better

With the players we have we should easily be beating Israel at home. We were dreadful last night, largely because of the bewildering team selection.

Clarke must be delighted the games off

It relieves him of the headache of what the f**k do I do now
