Firstly thank god lots of people have my thinking in how crap Astro is. I think most people have hit the nail in the head an experienced person to assist the big fella that does the pitch now, and you need to invest in it in real terms, the local bowling greens put thousands in to them not just a matter of cutting the grass and getting on with it, winter work starts way before the seasons start leading to April start. Davy Harkness still goes to games retired now and remember he trained the guy doing it now, so either him or someone with that experience, there is a guy who is from Dunoon and has done wonders to quite a few greens in Ayrshire, comes over first thing in the morning ferry and very knowledgeable and reliable.

So based on those figures we are nothing near what’s been quoted as costs to the club or going to make if we have one and as prev said the area is awash with Astro with more on the way no guarantee we will make any income.

South ayrshire is awash with Astro pitches and more being built with new schools being built etc, it doesent cost anything like what people on here are posting, my god if boys clubs can afford it get a grip on your costings Saving hundreds of thousands and making the same get a grip. Just look at livingstone this week frozen and flooded pitch in one week not the be all people are making out. Somerset used to be one of the best playing surfaces in Scotland that’s why for many years Albeit a long time ago England used to train on it when they came up, the pitch needs proper regular maintenance and investment in it relaying turf and drainage etc when was the last time that was done and a lot cheaper then S——y Astro, god help us if we go that route.

I agree as I said before a very young team and a very young management team in terms of games. We’ll win next three games quite confident, but we def need a couple of experienced players in January one at the back and one in the middle surely can’t be hard to get that plenty of players should come available and I’m still predicting 5th might just sneak 4th.
