Ive got absolutely no clue. I think the board believed the west entering the pyramid would happen at the end of the season and went along with it. Im not on the board so have no idea about the thought process or internal discussions and with the greatest respect probably wouldnt discuss it openly if I had been. There is an agm coming up and it may become clearer what the next steps are going to be. On one hand the compulsive in me would have preferred we just went to the east and on the other I worry that financially we may have struggled. Regardless Holm Park should be able to achieve licensing in the coming season and that should make things more positive.

Look I agree a downturn in industry was pretty obvious to folks with a degree of political/economic awareness. But ultimately look at the job losses in Wales, North of England etc, places where BJ et al said would thrive post brexit etc have been utterly shafted. No i think a very small number trust TJ to get the job done. We’re in a difficult position, our board can’t go and canvass for a rival league. Some fans are very angry we didnt leave for the eosl, I think we’d have struggled to put out a competitive team given the teams who joined. There doesnt seem to be support for a wosl from other junior teams, I know a club from the coast was canvassing interest and it wasn’t that great, feel like we’re stuck because of other clubs unwillingness to make a move and a general sense of apathy. This season we’re signing some decent players to play in a league that really doesnt interest me and a scottish cup that no one really cares about, i’d have rather we saved the playing budget for a decent crack at a pyramid league and put out a weaker side, every penny spent on players this year is a bit of a waste.

Making light of domestic abuse, which makes up a very large proportion of this countries recorded crimes of assault and murder is just as damaging to this country. Its not all about macro economics and money, it’s about the kind of country we become. Donald Trump has given the far right a breath of fresh air and Bannon has ensured that they have a direct line to the white house. Boris Johnson is every bit as bad and also linked to Bannon, its as important to highlight Trumps sexual harrassment, racism and sexism as it is to highlight Johnson’s domestic abuse, racism and incompetence. It should all form a bigger picture, saying its not important is wrong, because for the battered spouse in this country having an arsehole domestic abuser in high office is just as important an issue as having someone who shows contempt for the poor would have on the economically marginalised. The fact that Boris is both of these should be viewed as such and one shouldnt be seen as more important in identifying his unsuitability for office. If Johnson’s incident had happened in Scotland he would absolutely have been charged for it.
