  1. Id rather someone sat him down gave some feedback and helped him be better? There arent that many folks lining up to referee at our level, i work with one lad who basically thought the aggro of running the line at wosl level wasnt worth it and just does saturday morning amateurs now for the same money or there abouts.
  2. One of the best tweets i read about De Insantis ‘He should be made to carry his campaign to full term’.
  3. He’s certainly good enough! Id be turning pro and getting the tour card for 2 years.
  4. If i was him id stay amateur until after the open and go pro then, but i suppose if hes hitting that form he runs the risk of missing a lot of prize money!
  5. Work colleagues daughter was on a flight which landed in Edinburgh and they were kept on the plane for 3.5hrs because it wasnt safe to open the doors or something. Suppose it beats going to Cologne.
  6. I think a lot of the PGA tour courses are just so derivative, country club looking water left on 18 type courses which is boring, but it becomes interesting when they play the really good courses 10/12 times a year like Pebble Beach, Augusta, Pinehurst et al, but yer average low ball tournament just puts you to sleep. At least on the European tour you’re at a different country every couple of weeks, different types of courses and the wee spell before the Open playing some great venues.
  7. Arguably the most profound period of restriction, upheaval and change since ww2 rationing, decisions made which may have saved, changed irreversibly or indeed taken lives and there are still people on here deflecting and blindly incapable of criticising ‘the party’. These decisions have contributed to lives being lost or changed forever and any communication between government officials on the topic of the pandemic should be disclosable. Filter out any non government chat you want with redaction, i dont care if Sturgeon called Boris a fanny in a whatsapp, what i do want is to see the way their decision making was shaped and just how much of the restrictions were political or otherwise.
  8. Hearing a story (was sent facebook excerpts on a whatsapp) about a guy in west calder who got compo money for something and decided to get breast implants, for no other reason than he loves boobs.
  9. De Santis is more hardline in terms of anti abortion, anti lgbt. He is so petty, which i believe is a measure of the man, that because disney posted a tweet in support of lgbt rights he targeted them (one of the biggest employers in Florida) and took it personally. De Santis is what Trump would be like if he believed the stuff he said.
  10. Looking at their actual politics, is it just me who would rather see Trump as the republican nominee over Haley and De Santis? Haley actually seems to be further right than Trump and De Santis is actually a bigger egomaniac but wholly incompetent, have a look at the whole Reedy Creek Improvement District affair to see just how petty De Santis actually is.
  11. Ahh! Yes! Just havent seen the boys in ages but wow thats some change. I feel like for some people surgery becomes an obsession, but i suppose its up to them what they do with their body. I dont think it tends to make people look better but i suppose if they are happy then thats the main thing.
  12. You should make a formal complaint, they would then be obliged to respond in writing within 21 days i believe. There are some really badly run practices just now and then there are others who just cant seem to recruit, less GP’s means less available appointments. Someone made the point about the regular hypochondriacs who know what to say and its a very clear issue actually.
  13. Especially given the fact he can still play at a decent enough level on the champions tour, infact pretty much dominated that, he could have played a few more years and not embarrassed himself the way some of the past champions of events have.
  14. To be fair, probably the reason i’ve got involved in an argument is from making a very quick post where i know exactly what im saying and ive posted my feelings without context. Tbf i do enjoy a decent bit of discussion and have had that with GHF, part of the thing i like most about p&b is how varied the range of opinions are and when we’re not responding in Simpsons memes etc how decent the arguments can be.
  15. Thanks for that, i hadnt even heard of them!
  16. 1) what do we know about his means? Hes been found to be lying about just about everything he’s said in Scotland, but from what we know as per the reports from his time in the USA etc hes not been a millionaire but has worked in relatively well paid jobs, he also rented accomodation in one of the most expensive areas of Glasgow to live, I dont think its outrageous to suggest we look again at his means to see if he should be granted legal aid. Im not arguing against him being allowed to defend himself in court, im sorry if you think that way. Also im not arguing for legal aid to be unavailable to people, but again Legal Aid is granted on a case by case basis. Also is it applicable and in the interests of justice or the taxpayer to allow him to frustrate legal proceedings in doing so? Is that not actually against the spirit of what legal aid and indeed the notion of defence is in Scots law? This is something thats entirely new, untested in our legal system and its right that it incurs debate not only amongst the legal minded but also amongst the people of Scotland that the justice system serves. Dare i say it, now that its settled that Arthur Knight is Nicholas Rossi should the Scottish legal aid board seek funds from the estate of Nicholas Rossi in Rhode Island? 2) Corruption goes beyond the notional ideas of taking bribes etc, if ive picked you up wrong fair enough, but i feel my explanation as to my place in it having no real relevance than your own is fairly valid. 3) Its not ideal, but again its commonplace to have people refuse to plead guilty to crimes and have lawyers use loopholes to get people a not guilty, again no worries with that, even then ive had cross examinations which consisted of ‘i put it to you that you are lying’ , again despite how absolutely ridiculous a line of cross examination (as if to say my response would be ‘oh yes ive been lying the whole time but you’re so clever that you’ve caught me out with that sharp question) its fair enough in the basis of someone conducting a defence however they see fit. Its the fact and I appreciate i keep coming back to this, but the fact that Rossi continually did everything he could to avoid appearing in court or conducting himself entirely despicably throughout is why on an individual case basis given the context of him trying to avoid trial for very serious offences which sickens me.
  17. Who did you go with? Did you change anything in terms of your cover?
  18. You can pick one case in isolation, indeed the Scottish legal system is built upon looking at the individual merits and evidential worth of particular cases. You then went to the ‘oh your a police officer and this is chilling’ at the assertion that im somehow corrupt when occupation has absolutely nothing to do with the point being argued, i have no input into the allocation of legal aid resources and offer an opinion no different to any other tax payer as to how our justice system is funded. Yes I have been in the position where ive been to court and had to answer questions from defence agents arguing the most absolutely fantastical cases on behalf of their clients, again I genuinely dont have a problem with that in the context of a criminal trial or even indeed in an initial hearing etc, Lady Dorrian summed it up when the last appeal request was heard, with Rossi still trying to lead things and argue against being called Rossi in court, it was a settled fact in law that Rossi was Rossi and he still wasted court time and taxpayers money to try and argue that. He failed to engage with our legal system in anything other than a proper manner and I dont believe that should be allowed.
  19. We have a man who has gamed the legal system in this country, sacked multiple lawyers to frustrate proceedings, refused to attend hearings resulting in hearings being put off for 4 months at one stage, arguing against medical professionals as if they are engaged in some kind of conspiracy against him. Surely you can see why this particular case is an absolute waste of resources, indeed a legal aid budget in Scotland which is finite. If its ‘chilling’ to point out that this has made a mockery of our legal system then im happy to be the air conditioning. To be absolutely clear despite all the assertions being made i am specifically talking about this one case and do not understand why you’ve got people now suggesting im arguing against legal aid as a principle and the right to a fair trial? This matter was not a criminal trial, again had Rossi’s argument centred around the ‘dont make me go to an american jail’ rather than ‘everyone is lying except me’ you could just about understand that. I work with people who have been the victims of horrific sexual abuse and feel that seeing someone make such fantastic and spurious attempts to avoid facing their accusers in such a way to be incredibly distasteful and contrary to spirit of a fair and just legal system.
  20. Utter nonsense. That man has made a mockery of our justice system, im talking specifically about this case. Its utterly spectacular that this dragged out for years. Spurious appeals due to the type of hearing this was where the defence could offer no actual credible evidence that Rossi was not Rossi, ive no problem with someone arguing against extradition on human rights grounds, but that wasnt what was happening, so dont try and put words in my mouth, this particular case, this particular issue is what im questioning.
  21. Aye no ones arguing against right to a fair trial Craig, this wasnt a trial. This was a complete waste of a courts time to indulge the evil fantasies of beast who despite the overwhelming evidence actually used up a courts time in Scotland to argue he was tattooed in a Scottish hospital to match a wanted American who had fallen off the face of the earth. Lawyers were paid for out of our tax to argue that fingerprints were somehow attached to ‘Arthur Knight’ in some kind of cruel conspiracy. There has to be a point whereby you say that his lawyers are actually just milking it, there was no profound injustice here, the only person who apparently doesnt believe this is Nicholas Rossi is Nicholas Rossi. Im also not arguing against scrapping legal aid despite what your assertion is, but i absolutely do think the legal costs for this farce should be borne from Rossi.
  22. I know, but there should be questions asked about him getting legal aid when he should be getting a slap. An absolute farce and shows the justice system in Scotland to be the abject failure it is.
  23. From what i gather its not Mick Kennedy who struggles in the dressing room but more his assistant seems to be quite hard to work for.
