  2. Sophia’s post talks about ‘saving money’ in terms of a success, it wasnt a success, money hasnt been saved, what has instead happened is provision and services have been cut. Working out of buildings which are a health and safety nightmare and driving a fleet that was so ridiculous you could only have 3 people in an estate car before we even talk about reduction in officers on the front line isnt a saving, its a cut, its a massive cut. The much maligned ‘1000 extra officers’ doesnt consider that many of these had to go into back office roles including call centres, control rooms, citation service, custody duties and other roles that were previously done by civi staff. They fudged the figures by feeding the public nonsense, counting the officers who post citations through doors as ‘front line’ and same for people in internet investigations etc too because they argued the internet was public facing etc. Meanwhile youve got response policing shifts which in 2007 may have had 25 cops mustering at a station and today you’re lucky if you’ve got 11/12, the demands havent changed, all thats happened is theres less who require to do more.
  3. I mean i did too, but it fair noises up the trolls.
  4. Yeh thats not even remotely like whats happened, all the processes etc have been east driven, the last chief who oversaw much of the damage was ex l&b model being imposed, too much taking on everyone else’s work and mission creep. As someone who was Strathclyde (and not from a sectarian shitehole) i find this notion that ‘strathclyde dook ar jabs’ to be absolutely fascinating because police scotland is nothing like strathclyde police was.
  5. Fortunately we’ve never played them in a final that ive been bothered about.
  6. Dunno we’ve always had tough games with Talbot, tbf they always raise their game against us.
  7. If Eni Aluko was a below average creepy ice cream salesman i could maybe get the West point. Barton is another Fox just playing out a bit more publicly.
  8. Im gonna get booked in with the pro down my bit for a couple lessons in spring. Ill continue being shite til then.
  9. I prefer to not google when i can rant, but you do you.
  10. Wasnt it Peaches Geldof or some other topshop libertines camden pub identikit person like her?
  11. I cant say ive ever studied Indian history in any great detail, but from certain snippets she apparently was a bit of a c**t if she didnt like you? Im with Sadowitz on this one.
  12. I think its more my contact/compression on longer irons is rotten, i hit a 4 hybrid 210, 3 wood 220-230 off the deck, my 7 iron is 155 so its reasonable to say i should be able to hit a 6 170, i dont try and murder the ball anyway, all about the ernie els big easy swing. I do try and club up where i can, but that sorta 30/40 yard gap is a killer especially as my home course is quite long, Ive always struggled with longer irons off the fairway, so doing what i can to improve them.
  13. The boy Smith who’s popping up everywhere in clips, his whole shtick seems to be *point to couple in crowd* then ask *yous shagging?* then proceed to call the girl a *dirty slut* for ‘shock horror’ having sex with her boyfriend. Saw people saying Jim Jeffries earlier and whilst i understand people have their own opinions, but really, get fucked. Jeffries is a superb comedian, his story telling is fantastic. In terms of my own list of unfunny comedians its basically all the essex boy type comedians and ‘lad’ types, coupled with Cordon and Davidson etc. Ricky Gervais was fantastic but not so much now. Bill Burr another i useda love but not so much. I suppose i also tend to like more 70/80/90’s comics like Bill Murray, Robin Williams, Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy so the current British type comics dont really land with me.
  14. Aim overall is to break 80 for the first time and repeat it. Ive been grafting all winter and seem to be improving, my winter iron and driving distances have been pretty decent so hoping il see an improvement in the better weather. I need to get better with my 5/6 iron as its 175-200 yards where im letting myself down, short game is pretty decent. Ordered a new (second hand but new for me) Titleist tsi2 driver from auchterlonies to match the 3 wood i bought last month (which i love), so hoping to love that just as much.
  15. Id go back to the 5th April 1997, with the winning lottery numbers. Why you ask? Because id take the £3,128,000 that id have won on the lottery jackpot and invest that money into Amazon shares which would be worth over £3bn today. Then id leave myself a note to say that creating a facebook would be a good idea and to pitch various tech ideas like google and invest money pre 9/11 in halliburton and use the profits to out bid Craig Whyte for Rangers and make the banter years look boring.
  16. You’d be as well opening a window and shagging the night. You rarely hear from the very big players, the ones who shout their mouths off and drive about in the flash motors doing all the hardman stuff on social media etc are nothing but useful idiots for the main players.
  17. Nah thats not strictly true, ive been to Glasgow, Heathrow, Gatwick through security quite a good number of times and in the London airports in particular you can be one way through security like taking shoes off going out on holiday and its different on the way back connecting. It can vary depending on the supposed threat level at the time too. I think there is a new type of airport screening coming where you can keep everything on you and all contents inside bags regardless which should make going through security relatively easy going forward, similar to the technology that disney has at their park gates which is genuinely excellent at streamlining the processes.
  18. The thing i dont like is that its not always clear what you have to remove, because different airports have different requirements, some shoes off some on, some leave stuff in bags, others remove it, some you can wear a hoodie, some you remove, some they want you to just keep walking through metal detectors, some they want you to wait for a wave through. But to a man they’ll all be snidey and condescending if you ask ‘what do you want me to remove from the bag’ as if you have to magically guess. The way some speak to you, especially the TSA in the states is beyond belief, Heathrow is quite bad for little nazi jobsworths who scream and shout at people. Ive never lost it at them, but i have asked them to be less rude before, they dont like that.
  19. Tbf some of the airport security staff can be thoroughly unpleasant and rude, which can set folks off. Ive seen them do it to people then play the victim. Some of them even buy malteasers for people passing through security…
  20. Heres a release from last month from Gordan Low the SNP council leader welcoming a new exec staff member. https://www.eastdunbarton.gov.uk/news/ann-davie-appointed-east-dunbartonshire’s-new-chief-executive#:~:text=Announcing the news%2C Council Leader,of experience to the role.
  21. Thing is this thread or those like it have been going on for years in terms of Rob Roy, i got told months ago there was an issue with contamination at the site, but thats obviously wrong given its been used now, others saying theres loads of teams in for it, others that its because rob roy did or didnt put money in. Whats abundantly clear is that no one from Rob Roy seems to want to discuss it or is able to on here i guess. I really hope they do get to use the ground and it works for them, in Clydebanks year in abeyance i enjoyed going to games at RR and think they could be a real asset in Kirky running that ground. Like many things with SNP led councils (see finnart and clyde shambles) theres no clear communication and they dont seem too fussed dragging things out.
