  1. Well after an underwhelming performance last saturday beaten only by the Willy Wonka Experience down the road in terms of disappointment im hoping the Bankies can get things back on track and get right into Darvel. Always a difficult place to go and play football with that pitch and what not but hopefully we can get 3 points.
  2. Mixed feelings indeed, shes doing a very terrible job of complaining that the cost of living has risen. But you have to consider that as a middle class person living in the south of England that given these people have a tendency to vote tory/lib dem then they have got what they voted for. Save me the avocado pish, but yes mortgages, eating out and entertainment for kids is a rip, i recently attended a willy wonka exhibit in Glasgow and things were so bad the kids only got a 1/4 cup of lemonade and a manic oompa loompa giving out 1 flump per group.
  3. Aye should go back to playing on red ash pitches with whippet tracks round the sides. Thems the good old days.
  4. Yet your post directly above this one says they should. Honestly you’re not even a decent troll. For a Darvel fan who supposedly doesnt like Talbot you sure sound more like a Talbot fan than a Darvel fan. Just happened to be in an area reserved for committee members and saw Clydebank had the audacity to bring a bottle of champagne to a cup final (ooh those bad people), what are run of the mill ‘darvel’ fans doing in there? Honestly pathetic. Did Matt Bamford unfriend you on myspace or something? anyway, you should give us your opinion on groundsharing and Clydebank because honestly its not clear if you’re in favour of them or not? Stop being so vague and just be very clear.
  5. Lol! But yes, i honestly feel Truss’ actions should be viewed as misconduct in public office through sheer incompetence. If a doctor fucked up as much they’d be struck off, if a policeman did it they’d be imprisoned, why is there no accountability for politicians?
  6. Good luck recovering it from some of the folks that are responsible. I often wish id taken the chance i had to do my APL but didnt, but then i think about the possibility of flying the ryanair glasgow to ibiza flight in the height of summer and suddenly glad i didnt.
  7. Oh actually a lot of the time they just get ‘interrogated’ by the local police and fined. Whats actually interesting is the UK approach to stuff from airlines, good example being the canadian pilot who was drunk in charge of the plane, fucker had to stay in Scotland until his trial.
  8. Actually have been on a flight, dalaman to glasgow where some lovely people threatened to ‘take the fucking heid aff’ one of the cabin crew and had to intervene. Didnt need to restrain them or anything, just a simple ‘sit down and shut up’ and thankfully they got huckled at the airport. Apparently it wasnt anyone else’s problem that they were smoking on the plane. I think flying brings out the worst in people, some feel really nervous and some think they need to drink like a fish or something. Dunno if folk remember that film ‘the fifth element’ but there was a bit where the characters got on a spaceship and the done thing was to knock people out for the duration of the flight, cant help but think that should be looked at. So anyway, to actually answer your question, you can actually use force to assist at the request of the captain/cabin crew, same as on the street. But yes, it can go very wrong. There are certain flights i would never get on based on the behaviour of people on them.
  9. Uft superb news, well done Matt Bamford/pott and the board for getting that done!
  10. Look i think there comes a time in every fathers life where a cross roads of either staying and doing the dad thing or completely abandoning your kids to compete in the underground breakdance circuit will arise. I dont blame this guy.
  11. Worst pizza i ever had was in the airport in Naples. My underrated food is Bruschetta, toasted good quality bread, olive oil, amazing italian tomatoes, flakes of sea salt and a drizzle of fantastic balsamic vinegar. Honestly so simple but perfect. Overrated food- mushroom pakora.
  12. Beginning to think Rhubarb doesnt like Clydebank.
  13. Majors?lol Ok Tiger Woods. We dont play at junior level.
  14. Not much chance of Glenafton winning much though, you could play in a league with 1 team and probably mess it up. Anyway, not a big follower of the junior cup but hopefully Talbot absolutely pump Darvel.
  15. Usually followed by ‘sensationally blasted’.
  16. The issues with too many forces in the states is clear, but school police depts should be drilled in what to do in these circumstances, they are supposed to drill for them and senior officers are supposed to know their role in the situation and unfortunately its not to jump about and be the hero when there are dozens of other police officers present, he failed to ensure he had appropriately functioning equipment, it was a failure of leadership, he failed to step back and coordinate allowing it to descend into chaos. He absolutely should be prosecuted. I know my role in the event of a major incident, he should have done his correctly and also ensured his department had functioning radios suitable for purpose.
  17. Im sorry but i disagree with you, the up chief was the most senior officer at the locus, unless its claimed elsewhere that means given its his jurisdiction that its his ball. Granted i work in a different area, but as a supervisor if i go to something then its clear as to who is in charge and thats something that you have to be able to be answerable to your decisions. That idiot went to that school to play at big shot and was overwhelmed, his inaction led to children being killed. My understanding is the tactic is the same in the US as it is in the UK, that active shooters should be engaged and stopped, he failed to do that and actively prevented capable police officers from doing so. You can hear the shots going on as he holds the containment. It was despicable. Sometimes you find yourself in situations where you’re terrified, but he was a shitebag and should be locked up. Another one who loved the title ‘police chief’ but failed to do his duty.
  18. Yes numbers can be spoofed very easily and is something that happens quite a lot. Also, please for the love of f**k can people stop sending money to people on facebook market place for things, almost every single hour there is a scam on it, concert tickets for gigs popular with the younger folks are the biggest earners. One gig at a Glasgow venue had something like 500 people attend with fake tickets.
  19. Fwiw the person who acted as commander for that incident should absolutely imo be charged as criminally culpable, that whole incident was despicable.
