  1. One of the problems is if folks were to be honest is that much of the views are skewed by a hatred/dislike of the Old Firm rather than an objective look at matters. For example, There is probably likely to be a benefit to young players regularly playing more experienced and motivated opposition so some sense in the idea - that doesn't mean though that overall it is a good idea
  2. On your first point your original comment was about Lower League clubs - for Lower League clubs it's already even easier they use a clever system called pay at the gate and no tickets needed. On your second point of course it makes it more affordable but it does not increase revenue as you claimed or clubs would be following that route anyway - It's easy to allege marketing myopia when you don't have to pay the bills and wages Yes lots of clubs do similar already
  3. You are indeed part of the Post Truth generation
  4. Presumably the £10 is an average price taking into account the fact that some purchasers will be entitled to concession prices at lower than standard adult price
  5. No - as it was a consultation so no requirement to publish the feedback received
  6. Presume the criteria is there are only two clubs ready to go ahead in early course and it is up to the SPFL members if they wish to expand the number of clubs as that would not impact on the play off with Tier 5 club
  7. I would accept that playing in an under 20 team against seasoned part time professionals on a regular basis will better develop players than them playing against another under 20 team featuring mostly the same players they have faced year after year as they move through age groups. Loan outs have advantages and disadvantages but also can help development
  8. The current rule for the play off is that the clubs contesting the play off to try and win promotion to the SPFL must come from leagues which do not have SPFL clubs in membership.
  9. It depends on what type of decision is being made - some can have 100% Premiership and championship support but still be voted down
  10. Colt teams cannot win promotion to the SPFL as you suggest - one club can't have 2 sides in SPFL under existing rules
  11. They weren't as I never said I thought it was acceptable or not - I guess you are using poetic licence
  12. Do you know what unanimously means? A small number of fans on here are commenting not some mass movement. It is the clubs who decide on these proposals that's how it works. M
  13. Yes as is right and proper - they are charged with reviewing such matters and putting forward any recommendations for consideration by member clubs
  14. Why OF? Surely because they are the clubs who want this and presumably are prepared to fund it
  15. Not aware that such a proposal has been put to SPFL clubs - I also said on here some time ago (to some scoffing) that the only way this would ever fly was if some financial incentive was offered to lower league clubs. The pay for 300 is an interesting idea but doubt if that is enough to tempt the relevant clubs to go for this.
  16. No but vast majority including most SPFL teams I suspect weren't that interested
  17. All 42 SPFL clubs were asked if they were interested in doing so
  18. Cowden had 5 of last week's starting line up in their XI
  19. I can say that a copy of Cowden's response will be published in their programme on Saturday
  20. But they didn't get their way is actually the gist of your story
  21. You sound as dramatic as SimonLichtie now - that's your view fair enough but doesn't mean you are correct. Life or death of clubs, hmmm.
  22. Correct and then make a judgement based on that and all other pertinent factors.
