  1. Not if a board (packed with self interest) pushed only one of the potential solutions, attached a £9m carrott to it, glossed over consequential TV losses, and required a 48 hour decision. The courts can judge whether that can stand. You’re right about all the fannying about with reconstruction alternatives. But maybe that has been a charade.
  2. Yes, but was it lockdown till Aug or June at that point? Genuine question.
  3. f**k me, diets no more, you guys have now gone full blown H*n. That’s a thoughtful response. Clearly you have no concerns. Thanks for clearing that up.
  4. You might be right - except that the Dundeegate board paper was concocted at the end of March and beginning of April. What was the law at that point?
  5. Why couldn’t there be the agreed number of games in 20/21 if it started in Sept? Why would starting a month or so later cause SKY to wriggle, in your opinion?
  6. We are a couple of weeks behind England. We could have been playing in July and August. Then straight into next season. The players can't need a break - they've been scratching their arses for the last 3 months.
  7. But it was never going to be impossible to play the games, was it? BT and BBC will rightly say they could be played at a later date. Okay, so the SFA would need to allow existing player registrations to carry over. But the SPFL chose to break the 2019-20 contracts with BT/BBC/SKY, in the hope that they could clear the decks and protect the 2020+ SKY contract. (A cynic might wonder whether personal performance bonuses affected judgements). Hearts were just acceptable collateral damage - and Partick only got some belated, mealy-mouthed commiserations from the chairman as an afterthought several days after Dundeegate.
  8. Well, that's what I think too. They'll wriggle and renegotiate. There are half a dozen posters on here who lose their shit when I say this.
  9. Do you not think SKY would have waited for the delayed 2020-21 season to start?
  10. They are stalling on (£150k?) refunds for 2019-20 season tickets until they get an insurance pay out confirmed. Now they have suspended sales of season ticket sales for next season. The 2019 Accounts showed net liabilities of £2.58m. What could it all mean, I wonder? Maybe one of these jolly Dee boys can help explain.
  11. tbf I'd sell Johhnydun for a lot less than 30 pieces of silver
  12. They can take their pick - but I'm not sure they'd want too many.
  13. Heeyyyy. So you are capable of not always uttering shite! Only problem with that choice : imagine an international football/rugby crowd murdering it.
  14. If it was organised by Doncaster and McLennan, they'd tell us the only possible option was Fields of Athenry and attach a £9m payout to a yes vote.
  15. That was some reality check - 3-0 by half-time. We had become too used to swatting aside the likes of Hibs and Rangers
  16. You're wrong. The UK is pretty rubbish - and Scotland a bit rubbishier . But Spain (that doesn't count non-hospital deaths) and Belgium are far worse per head of population.
  17. And for that very same reason I would like us to change our national anthem from one that drones about 14th century battles!
  18. Okay, okay. Denmark, Switzerland, Ireland. No idea how these countries dealt with it, but the point was Sparticus was plainly wrong to call Scotland unique
  19. Small country, 3/4 of the way through its season. What's unique about that? Belgium, Netherlands, Portugal...
  20. Not sure how to break this to you, Sparticus, but this worldwide pandemic is not unique to Scotland. You maybe need to widen your horizons beyond P&B.
