The Ultra formation has been brilliant. It has changed the atmosphere in our 3 sided stadium and i am hearing more young fans are going to games to be part of it. All good. Perhaps Binos and Accies should try it.

We had a small 'ultra' group but they've disappeared since the Alloa game.  not that I blame them after that as it was the worst home performance I'd seen in a while. I've no idea what the story is.

We've never managed to really grow the support consistently since I've been following. I think 35 years ago, Falkirk had about 5 times as many supporters and that remains the case today.

Crowds grew organically a bit last year while the team was doing well but not massively.

I don't really know what the answer is......

BB_Bino i totally get what you say & respect your opinion 👏

I agree with how you summed up the Danny Burns point...I'm not trying to get rid of Dunsy as i don't think he's a natural full back & it's unfair to judge him on that, he has filled in quite a few roles for us this last year & this year, in the 2nd division we could get away with it, however in the 1st division teams are alot more savvy & clinical..... Cammy was dodgy in the 2nd division,, we saw that with the signing of Flynn Duffy to fill in this position... I'm unsure if DY saw Ewan Wilson as the replacement for Cammy when getting him on loan from Motherwell, but it seems clear that he doesn't see that now...hence our new signing Callum Crane,, hopefully this will prove to be a solid replacement at left back.. We started the season with Thompson as only contracted player...if he remained unsigned I'd have let him go, he's too slow,,did a great job for us,but i believe his standard is also 2nd division,, Milne seems a bit lightweight,,doesn't tackle lacks a bit of dig,, Hilson has been stop start..we have had horrendous injuries this year, hopefully Davidson will be back soon, we really miss him,, Spence is back too this month & always puts a shift in...here's hoping for a good January 👍

    Can't see anyone leaving.

Callum Crane wi hopefully make a difference..full back cover was an obvious gap at the beginning of the season. Dunsmore is a massive drop off from Geeks at right back.

Left Back we started with only Clark and no cover.....

I thonk our defence in general just isnt good enough at this level. Im not sure any of the centre halves lool like they belong in tbis league either.

they aren't getting much protection from the midfield though.

I think Hilson is only starting to get fit now. He looked way off the pace earlier in the season. Milne has been OK but no better than that. Davidson is a huge miss in the middle of the park.

I'd love one or two more in on loan but think we will be lucky to get one more.

I did mate, born in 76. Grew up there till I left my parents in my early twenties.

I was born in 76 too. I'd kind of figured out we must be around the same age from previous posts.

I was pretty naive to all that stuff growing up in Dunblane, moved to Glasgow to go to uni at  17 and wondered why everyone wanted to know what school I went to.

  4. Aye I was thinking exactly the same.....its been the same way as long as I cam remember too.

The last home game against Accies brings fond memories

.we could have been 3 or 4 down at half time but somehow went in only one down and came out strong second half and really take the game to them.

Kyle Banners equaliser is still probably my favourite moment of the season so far.

Things felt far more optimistic at that point. We've rarely if ever hit those heights again.

I'd again be delighted to take a point

If only Marvin could match his positive rhetoric with performances and results on the pitch. I am not sure if he watches the same games as we do.

i can’t think of one league game where we have been seriously robbed of a result this season. In fact I can think of two away wins where we seriously rode our luck - Cove and Annan.

Yesterday Stirling were the better side first half aided by a strong wind. We had much the better of the second half without creating many threatening openings. Stirling had the better chances but a draw was fair overall.

Managers being one eyed in interviews is nothing new or exclusive to him. Plenty times ive thought Darren Young’s post match interview reflected a different game to the one I watched.

Draw was probably fair. Each side clearly dominated a half each.

I thought a goal from a corner was inevitable given that many in thst sort of weather.

Aye they’ve dried up there since the south terracing reopened. Would be an easy fix to close it again and let the goals flow in. Save on stewards for the 15/20 supporters too.

I like the terracing when it isn't raining but I'm not into getting soaked if I don't have to. I did enjoy Kyle Banners equaliser against Hamilton but I reckon that might be the last one down that end...

  7. There not being much between the teams is way worse for you guys than us.

Before the season we would probably have said that was a decent point but we had plenty chances to win it..

You'll be too good to go down but have some way to go to even get to the playoff challengers let alone Hamilton and Falkirk

5 points out the last 9 has arrested the slide for us but two very tough games coming up.  Feels like we should have had at least 2 more.

. Lots of time wasting by SA which sums them up

I'm not sure what time wasting you are talking about. I didn't notice any.

I thought after the equaliser thet both teams were still playing for the win.

We were poor for most of the second half but still made a few chances.

How Pabs missed from 2 yards I will never know.

We've not seen many goals at that end this season. Seem to be jinxed.

I think Cammy Clark is ok, but very much seems I'm alone in that opinion. Thomson is the one I watch and think he offers little. That's where I hope we get someone new in next month.

I think Cammy Clark is perfectly OK when he's showing his best form. He was good second half of last seasons and beginning of this one but his form lately has been terrible..

I thought he was easily our worst performer last week.

Tommo gets a hard time.....he can look pretty slow especially off the ball. His role seems to have changed slightly this season. He's right up top with Carrick slightly back from him almost playing like a 10.

Looks like Santa answered my Christmas wishes and we now have a new left back in January 🙏... as said Callum Crane is an upgrade on our current left back 👍 every time I've seen him play he has looked decent, brings a bit more composure & positional awareness,

    Thought you'd be pleased....

After Saturday I can't blame Darren Young for seeking an upgrade there.

Second half it really stood out when everyone else was playing betrer.

I think its clear that Wilson is being seen as more of a left winger and I can't really disagree.

Be interesting to see who lines up there on Saturday. I wouldn't be surprised to see Cummins there. Think that means Wilson has to play left mid or we have no natural left footers on the left at all.

  11. Well we didn't get Hamilton but we have signed Callum Crane.

On current form, he easily displaces Cammy Clark as first choice left back.

Ive always thought he was a decent player and I'm delighted with the signing.

Just a shame we have to wait until January.

I'm definitely excited for Saturday. Felt like the team had its mojo back second half on Saturday and despite a draw it was good to go home feeling entertained for the first time in ages

  12. The above sums it up. I thought our second half performance was the best I've seen us in the league all season.

We have to start better though and not give ourselves a hole to dig out of.

I'm feeling much more hopeful than I was a couple of weeks ago.

If we can actually start playing from the start that will really help.

  13. I'd wanted to see a Banner / Miller partnership in the middle for a while but that's not the circumstances I'd have chosen. Definitely looks like it won't be a quick return. A shame as the last two weeks I think leitch has been half decent.  Really hope it's not as bad as it looks.

Really think we deserved 3 points today but it was  good to see us actually making chances and looking threatening. It really has been a while.

Hilson had some nice touches too and thought that his cameo was the best I've seen of him.

  14. Proper game of two halves. Early in it looked like someone needed to tell us the game was happening.

Probably a bit lucky to go in all square. Never expect Carrick to miss a chance like that and he didn't disappoint

Second half a totally different story and thought we battered them and did enough to win it.

What a goal that would have been for lewis Milne that came off the post.

Hope Jack leitch is OK. That didn't look good at all.

Happy to keep the gap but feels like 2 points dropped.

The good thing is that I reckon second half might be some of the best football we have played all season.  Hopefully keeps the confidence up for next week.

Both our full backs had a torrid time today. They didn't enjoy facing Annan pacey wingers.  Cammy Clark had a shocker with his distribution also appalling.

  15. It's happening......

I never look forward to games with Annan. They always seem to cause us difficulties.

Hopefully last week has improved the confidence somewhat. God knows what the defence will look like with the injuries last week.

I can see it being the same midfield and attack.

I'd like to see josh Cooper starting but that's probably a forlorn hope.

I expect to see Miller and leitch in the middle again.

Be a great game to win and increase the gap between us and the relegation playoff place.

It feels like ages since we won at home..

Weather forecast isn't looking great for the terracing. Be a late decision on Saturday.

    Mon the Binos

Won't be a main priority at the minute with everything going on at Edinburgh but it would be some story if they some how managed to stay up this season.

Survival of the club has to be their priority.

Staying in league 1 looks like it would need a miracle.

Losing half your first team when it was already one of the worst in the division really can't help.

Add in the fact that those leaving will probably end up strengthening others in the division and you've got an almost impossible task.

I watched the highlights from East Fife's game against Elgin City from Saturday. It's hard to tell if East Fife were very good or Elgin City were terrible; it's probably a bit of both. Nevertheless, the attacking players like Scott Shepherd and Ryan Schiavone all had played well and will need to be watched closely. I quite like Scott Shepherd, he's developing into a very useful lower-league forward. Strong runner, bags of enthusiasm, decent touch, good for seven or eight goals a season.

In terms of atracking play and playing attractive football, I thought East Fife were definitely one of the better teams to come to Fortbank last season.

They didn't and still don't seem to be getting enough decent results.  It surprises me they aren't doing better.

I was impressed with Shepherd and Schiavone last year too.

Good to know some things don't change and Elgin are still terrible.

  18. There's no way he's using extra resource on a left back if Wilson loan continues and we have Clark as well. Clark looked good end of last season and start of this so hopefully he regains form.

Not wishing to kick them when they are down but I noticed that Lee Hamilton was one of those not playing for EC on Saturday. Would have him back in a heartbeat. Think he'd probably be our best centre half. Him and Pabs would make a great partnership I feel.

I'd rather have Banner in the middle too.....Jack Leitch can't play as an 8 in this league i don't think and certainly not without Ross Davidson to cover for him. We're far too easy to play through in midfield and seem to spend so much time chasing shadows.

I think Milne has shown more than Hilson so far.

I have no idea what Josh Cooper has to do to start either.....

  19. It certainly doesn't reflect well on Hamilton as a club.

Surely a football club's core business is selling admission to football matches.

Why you'd want to make that more difficult for your customers I've no idea.

If its a question of operational incapability then that's even worse.. its not acceptable in league one let alone the championship and that's surely where they aim to be next season.

  20. Feeling slightly better than I did on Saturday morning.

Every result that increases the gap between us and 9th place is a good thing.

We caught a break on Saturday with weakened opposition but they still have to be beaten and its a good confidence boost.

Saturday's game is another big one. These are the games we have to win, at home to the other part time sides.

Would be great to see a win at home. It really has been a while.
