The reaction on here would certainly make it worth it. Someone a few days ago on here said it definitely wasn't Canning, but I'm not sure if they were ITK.

Off topic, but on QP, I'm good friends with someone very much ITK, and it's interesting to hear what their plans are. The stadium rebuild at Lesser Hampden has been a disaster thus far for various reasons. I live round the corner from Hampden and it's a mess, which doesn't look like it will be finished this time next year. He was also saying that they are scratching their heads at how to get more locals along and to keep coming back. The new stadium when it's done will probably help. I get the impression that money will be no object going forward.

As a relatively new golfer myself only joining a club in March 2021, I'd say to go with the mindset that nobody actually cares about your ability. I've chunked drives in front of groups and hooked tee shots that required very loud fore shouts, as I'm sure we all have. Maybe play a club you're confident with in front of a group and you'll look like a pro! After a while you won't care as much hitting in front of others. In terms of letting people through etc, there's loads of different opinions about this that I'll let someone more experienced answer. Happy golfing!

I heard we approached individuals rather than taking applications, so I would like to think that immediately rules out the likes of Canning even being interviewed.

It rained heavily all morning and early afternoon up here. Fingers crossed.

This is exactly how I feel too. I actually started to hate the club which is something I never thought would happen. I feel part of the club again now that Mathie is on board and we're now moving in the right direction. Stay up this year, and I'm buzzing to find out where we can go next season.

I like Faddy when he's doing punditry work, particularly when he's covering the Scotland games. I think he comes across well, and not a, "thicko" as someone said. He's obviously coached the Scotland squad, but I don't know if he's been in the coaching game recently. Marvin Bartley for me [emoji106]

I'm watching the Open Goal podcast with Marvin Bartley. He comes across so well, and I think he'd be great for us. Young, enthusiastic, and has the necessary experience to qualify him for the job.

Come on Smith/Mathie, please relieve Duffy of his duties today. Surely Duffy won't be trusted by the board with players Mathie has maybe identified? This cannot continue. The home crowd on Boxing Day could easily be sub 700.
