  1. Will be a sore one for the club if they have to issue refunds. Hopefully Falkirk can rustle together some youth players! Oh wait... [emoji848]
  2. Bobby Madden... f**k sake man I forgot how bad the standard of refereeing is in this country. Was great to be there tonight, and the goal was a lovely finish. Overall it was an even affair, but I think we deserved the win. Mostly defended well, and the long ball worked occasionally. I thought we'd get beaten tonight, so I'm very pleased! Bring on Saturday!
  3. Can we buy them online? ETA: So I don't need to drive down to Ayr from Glasgow to buy a ticket.
  4. My mates and I love a round at Girvan. Half links half parkland. Me and my golfing mates now live in Glasgow and recently joined Cowglen, and are actually planning a trip back down the coast soon to do Girvan and Belleisle or Seafield in a day. If you're a member at a James Braid course you'll get 50% off the South Ayrshire green fees.
  5. In the 20 odd years supporting Ayr, I have never felt this apathetic about a season. I have zero motivation, and even yesterday when given the opportunity to buy a ticket for the first game back at Somerset, it was a no thanks. I was at Hampden and Wembley for the Scotland games where overall the fan experience was decent(ish), and after seeing these 'rules' for tonight it really doesn't make me want to go back to a game anytime soon. I'm unsure if it's the effects of the pandemic, or how utterly unprepared Hopkin appears to be for this season that is making me question if I'll go this year. Maybe it's other things like Smith arguing with fans, other employees having digs at fans online, our away strip is Killie's training top, no home strip available for purchase yet, the cringe fest that is Black and White TV... I really don't know. All these little annoyances build up.
  6. Just home from a round at Dundonald Links. What a course. Shot 126... 2 pars and not a single three putt though, so I'm happy! Lost a lot of balls off the tee in very extensive, thick rough. If any of you get the chance to play there you need to take it.
  7. It's okay everyone, we have a social club being built [emoji106]
  8. I'm sure in an early interview Hopkin said he was going to implement a vegetarian diet at Ayr.
  9. Yeah I'm far more impressed with that than the new kit! Looks like a lot of work has went into it.
  10. There's a better photo. 6.5/10 for me, probably won't buy it.
  11. Does anyone know what time the gates open for the Scottish Open next week? We're going up on the Thursday but I cannot see the times anywhere.
  12. I needed to read something like this. Heading down to London tonight and I am not buzzing in the slightest. However come 8pm on Friday I'll be thinking we'll get a result.
  13. I had been wondering for months how I'd sleep last night... The answer was very poorly! Don't think I've ever felt this way the morning of a game. Despite following Ayr United and Scotland for the last 20 years, I am ever the optimist. 2-0 Scotland. McGinn and Adams. Come on!
  14. 5 of us went last night and we had a great time. It was bloody freezing though! The sound and screen quality were excellent. £6 pints. Only Heineken or Strongbow (Dark Fruit also available). The beer was alright, served in a ridiculous flimsy paper cup. I didn't have one but the burger looked class, not your standard festival/football burger. Table service which I thought was very good. Order on a website after scanning a QR code. Drinks arrived a few mins later and you pay with card when they arrive. Loads of empty tables last night which was disappointing, I guess that's what happens when it's a free event.
  15. Came across these tonight... Absolutely ridiculous. No megaphones or drones? Day ruined.
  16. That's from the latest ATAC blog post. Hopefully an update soon.
  17. 11-11.30 am slot for Czech Republic... Ridiculous! Up to 3 hours sitting in a stadium with nothing to do... The squad will still be in Middlesbrough at that point! How we sneaking in booze?
  18. Nice one! I love seeing it all happening. I did wonder why they had ripped out a load of seats in the South Stand. Bloody VAR... It's definitely going to rule out a last minute winner or something eh? Just back another walk around the stadium (I live a 10 min walk away so it's a good excuse to see the developments). Loads going on around the ground, volunteer staff, builders, and security everywhere. More signage up since the last time I was there.
  19. Mobile tickets only on the UEFA Euro 2020 Tickets app. Everyone will need the app by the looks of things. https://support.tickets-euro2020.uefa.com/hc/en-us/articles/360011866520-How-do-mobile-tickets-work- Hope that helps.
  20. I got a couple random ones at 8.45am. Personally I'm not overly bothered about if I get tickets for the Fan Zone or not second time around. It's the people who got them for the Scotland games pre 10am I feel most sorry for, as it's not their fault they were accidentally made available. Anyway, I took a walk round Hampden last night and it's starting to get all Euro'd up. So much work going into doing up the facade of stadium, media centres in the car park, all just for 4 matches. Euro 2020 banners on basically every lamp post in the streets around Hampden. Getting exciting!
  21. They were available long before 9am.
  22. "the rules"... Come on now. Nobody broke any "rules" . Some clown at SEE Tickets or UEFA put them on sale early. That's not anyone who bought tickets fault. Are you telling me if you went on the website at 9.55 am and saw they were available, you'd wait until 10 am to order so you could be seen to be "adhering to the rules"?
