  1. Was never asked by Spartans to do commentary for them. As far as I'm concerned, I was asked by Cameron and I'm doing him a favour. So I don't consider myself as a "representative of Spartans", even if others do. The red card decisions were what they were, but like I said on the podcast, it has no bearing whether it was Spartans or any other team, I would have still felt the same but there is highlights available so people can judge for themselves. And If I do indeed have any bias towards any club - it is in fact, Stirling Uni, like I also mentioned on the podcast.
  2. Unfortunately due to travel issues delaying me for an hour. I didn't have appropriate time to test things. Personally, disappointed at the stream but hopefully it was a better viewing in the 2nd half. To be honest, I think you're right. Mostly flat, certainly in the first half. Probably didn't miss much. Improved second half. I thought the Spartans keeper had a few decent saves but having Lewy, Kev and Liall back will be a boost.
  3. Not the case at all. Tier 6 and 7 had to fight for their status as "professional" during the SFA meeting on Thursday.
  4. Clearly stated when asked - multiple times - that our sources were not from any of the leagues. So puts that one to bed. Edit - Also made it clear that it was not official.
  5. I should have fact checked. Don't think any of us are on our usual game 6 months without football. And memory is awful.
  6. Only licensed clubs would be in the play-off in any instance. The West have to catchup with the East in terms of licensing obviously having just joined the pyramid. Most teams in the East of Scotland Premier are licensed so there is nothing stopping them from being promoted to the Lowland League automatically if a West team or South of Scotland are unlicensed. The reality is if a full season is played there is a high probability that 2 or 3 teams could be relegated from the Lowland League at the end of the season 17th - To get the league back down to 16 16th - EoS/WoS/SoS round robin winner (depending on licensed teams as previously mentioned) 15th - if a League Two team is relegated to Lowland League
  7. Agree with you. Although, I think there is a problem with 2 automatic promotion spots and how it would work with 3 feeder leagues. Licensing in the Lowland League is predominately down to the Scottish Cup entry, hence why there's unlicensed teams in the East of Scotland with no issues. Only Vale of Leithen don't have floodlights installed now but that is soon to be eradicated after they got funding from the council.
  8. Indeed it was. Mistake was corrected for the 2nd round obviously when Vale of Leven were pulled out again.
  9. That was my fault. I posted the fixture as Vale of Leithen instead of Vale of Leven on the live chat probably out of habit but it was correct on the stream draw. Joys of multitasking.
  10. Few things... "openly courting publicity" I think Ben asked Mick for a chat, to be fair to him. "only appeal to a tiny niche group of fans in of non league football" that's pretty much the point of a non-league football podcast.
  11. Tbf to him. That slavering got everyone some answers.
  12. Ben recently spoke to the gaffer to get an insight before the new season. Enjoy.
  13. 100%, mate. Love to see it. Hibs back-up keeper - Maciej Dąbrowski, was on loan at Strollers a few seasons ago and Ross Stewart,, who scored for Ross County against Motherwell, used to play for Kilwinning Rangers.
  14. You've took a turn since Fergy became Kelty gaffer.
  15. Always thought Ben was a decent keeper. Just don't think he had a good command of his area as he was very quiet at times. Not all on him, but was more noticeable after Muzz left. Lapses in communication led to a few mistakes but he should get another club easy enough, if he is out the door. Donaldson has been one of the best keepers in the league over the past two seasons on loan to Strollers and definitely has a voice but not sure he starts over Jamieson for me. Be interesting to see how it develops with arguably two 1st choice goalies.
