All relative..if you're just talking about Scottish pop groups/bands in competition with other Scottish bands then then you can have fun compiling a list. If you're judging Scottish bands on a global level then there are no great Scottish bands.

The strange Uber hyper man child who seems to have overdosed on Sunny Delight is coming up fast on the rails as annoying git number two. Everything in his world is fantastic.....except him, sadly.

Green Brigade Celtic day of action plans laid out as ultras to 'welcome the team' after promise to board
The supporters group are to hold a day of action against the Parkhead club as their row boils on.
The Green Brigade have set out their plans for a "day of action" as their ongoing row with Celtic continues.
The ultras group, who are at loggerheads with the club, were told their 200 members had their season tickets suspended indefinitely due to an “increasingly serious escalation in unacceptable behaviours and non-compliance with applicable regulations," after the supporters section had shown support for Palestine in recent weeks, including during a Champions League match with Atletico Madrid. The Green Brigade were a hot topic at this week's Celtic AGM with the two parties seemingly no closer to a resolution.
The North Curve section of Celtic Park promised a "day of action'"if the row wasn't resolved before Saturday's clash with Motherwell in the Scottish Premiership, and it seems as if the group have set out plans to be at the stadium. A post from the group's Twitter account states they will 'welcome the team' on the Celtic Way before the game.

There was one season - and 80/81 rings a bell - where they "swapped".
Scotsport was traditionally on a Sunday afternoon along with Cartoon Cavalcade on STV.
When you could spend a pleasant Sunday afternoon playing 'Arthur Montford Bingo,' with ..."Up Go The Heads" ..."Sporting Handshakes All Round" ...."Goalmouth Stramash" ..& "Goodbye For The Present" ....constituting a highly satisfactory Full House.

As much as the modern day English Premier league is dull as dishwater, I love the first few years where you got a mixture of old school footballers and classy foreign imports. Here are two that I loved back then, both absolutely brilliant but couldn't be different
The sadly departed Pavel Srnicek in the background.
Phillipe Albert's goal when they pumped Man Utd 5-0 is still one of my favourite goals of all time
Chelsea 4, Manchester City 4. ... ugh...Thank god for the thrill a minute Scottish top flight, eh !!!

I'm 68 and have never missed a show. Your dad must be an old 67. I'm never turning into my parents and telling people to get a haircut and tell them to turn the music down. (Apart from tossers driving around with their car windows down letting everyone hear what they're listening to.)
And then they get out of the car and they're wearing shorts, in Scotland, in November. !!!???

Folk writing off our chances of finishing in the top 3 of a 4 team group before it’s even been drawn are either at it or need to take a day off.
Top 3 you say ? At last a glimmer of hope !

In these 24 team Euros you can sometimes only need one win from 3. If we get a good pot 4 draw we should be odds on to qualify.
If Northern Ireland can do it, surely so can we
If if if....

Good night lads. Enjoy your dreams of getting out the group in Germany. It won't happen.
It might happen but probably won't......but if a decent draw and if all first choice players fully fit and on-form then we do it. Unfortunately the chances of all those ifs aligning in our favour is unlikely so, it's out we trot. Hopefully heroically as in 74 and not tepidly as in the last Euros.

I think we're only short a real stand out attacking player from being a side of that quality. Wales with Bale and to a certain extent Georgia with Kvaratskhelia are good examples of how much one player can elevate a team.
With everyone fit and available parhaps but suspensions and injuries expose the lack of depth in the squad. Thankfully we have the finest Scottish international manager in living memory (which in my case goes back to Bobby Brown) at the helm which is why I'm almost convinced this Scotland team will go where no Scotland team has gone before and lose a knock-out match at a major tournament. !

Pleased with the draw but if we are to become the tier 1/strong tier 2 side that we all think we should be these sort of results and performances need to be a thing of the past
With the depth of talent we have at our disposal that ain't happening any time soon . But turning what would have been defeats into draws is progress enough.

A late winner in Cyprus, the absolute chasing they got at home off Spain, their limp performance at Hampden (not to mention how rattled they got by some weather); hardly Atletico Madrid we're playing.
We'll turn them over no bother.
Oh young sire. Wiser heads than you said that about Zaire, Iran, Costa Rica, Morocco etc etc etc ....... When will people get it into their heads.....We are Scotland, we don't turn anyone 'over no bother' !

Our "jobber" full-backs are Celtic's first choice and a Premier League player, it's hardly the days of having to fall back on guys like Robbie Neilson or Paul Dixon.
And we all know how fantastic Celtic's first choice are when faced by non Scottish opposition and non Scottish referees.......3-0 Georgia.

The fact that football authorities in this country think it’s normal to have a National cup final at a “neutral” venue with one team being given, at the outset, the majority of tickets and also given the same end of the stadium every single time they play there, is as tin pot as it gets. And the fact that they don’t see any of that as an issue, is even more tin pot.
'Tin Pot' is too cuddly a term. Let's call it what it is - corrupt

Just because our board are Tories, it duzn't mean our club is.
Plus there is a phrase i hate (champagne socialist).Of course 'your' club is. Glasgow Celtic openly support, encourage and benefit from the obscene financial disparity that blights Scottish football. Regardless of the label 'Tories', there is no disputing that Glasgow Celtic are capitalist vultures who prey on the weaker clubs around them(the fact that they get the same done to them in Europe is karma at its finest). Clearly you know as little about political and economic systems as you do about football.
