  1. - Have to agree, the usual Bairn posters seem to struggle with reality.
  2. A very well written summary. I have to say , if I am reading your summary correctly, its very unprofessional for any Falkirk official to refer to players now playing for other clubs in a public forum in any negative manner,” comparing previous players like Mercer and Leitch to…….” Not sure its smart to talk about your own players in a negative manner either by the way but thats probably evidence of the culture that exists at the club and why the players have probably lost faith in the manager . . In any other walk of life the lawyers would be on the phone! Just to say, Mercer started really badly with us, was low in confidence and is now playing really , really well. Scored a belter on Saturday. I can see him scoring another belter of a free kick against you boys at our next home game. He and us will be really hoping he does that( as remember these boys have family and friends who probably dont read the nonsense on fans forums but may read what an official of a professional football club say). Hope I picked up what you wrote wrongly but if true, really poor.
  3. Hope you are well? We have been awful all season but got a 4-2 Victory today!, Mercer , your former player, scored a wordily free kick- feels he has never been fitter than with EF?. Our former and much loved player Dowds, who when playing us last year was a shadow of player that left us, after scoring 2 and making the third against a largely 1st Aberdeen team, scored again today as a sub. . Do you feel their is a toxic atmosphere at your club that inhibits players from developing? Anyway, you dropped Dixon today, Tried to sell Keena to the Rovers , loaned out Dowds to a team above who rate him/ only conclusion you boys better get to love the seaside league.!
  4. - Genuinely never saw that coming. Please, please , lets go on one of our winning runs….
  5. I have to say I have listened to him a few times and thought he talked sense, was calm and thoughtful. Then I have to say watched him on the sideline against us and he seemed out of control, screaming like a mad man. Looked very strange , a man under pressure. No idea if that is how he has been all season but not sure any of his players could understand his wild rants on the sideline.
  6. Wow- so miss our home. The atmosphere there was very special , the joyous memories that I had as a young boy- maybe romance on my part- but the new ground come’s no where near in status and atmosphere…
  7. Thought we were unlucky today. No idea was that because we were better today or because Falkirk were as poor as many of their fans are saying. If Kevs shot had gone in before HT it may of been a different result. Thought Keena made a huge difference to Falkrk,.His introduction created real challenges to our defence for the first time. Anyway feels relegation is getting ever closer…..
  8. If true, and that has been said a bit in Fife, that is unbelievable… what is your manager thinking?… And aren’t others questioning why does a team a league above want to sign a player that cant get a place in the current losing team?
  9. Good player. Slightly surprised he is not back playing with Raith by now.
  10. You make fair points- it has been really depressing. In the past we have been on great long runs and tbf long poor runs- but this does feel different- just don't think the quality is as high as before- Hopefully the first week in October things will become clearer, having either supported the manager with more loan signings or a change of leadership.
  11. Not sure what they can say ? They can say yes we are disappointed. Things need to improve , Not sure any of that helps., They have to back the manager publicly until they don't back the manager - nothing to be gained by raising any misgivings publicly. As you say they are all fans and we all know there will be much heartfelt debate in the boardroom . We did have a dreadful run before and then we went something like 10 games without defeat( yes agree this team feels incapable of that!) They could come out and talk about our injuries, bad luck re McGuigan and Wallace- but all that will sound like excuses….only a few days left to closing of the loan window- hope all efforts on getting some quality loan signings- after first quarter you would expect some form of communication.
  12. The ignore button- now I am sure that is a button that most Falkirk fans hope for with regards to yourself…..
  13. Yip- thought as i was on the Falkirk forum- but now realised on the Shadwell Dog forum with the occasional input from other Falkirk fans- actually i am quite enjoying this- think I will now respond. to every piece of nonsense you post- that will keep me busy- , might need to give up my FT job- but hey maybe. Worth it- this is only starting…
  14. Yip thats the feeling we all have , every time you post- every hour of the day….
  15. To an observer who has no interest or allegiance to any club except the great EF- You come across as so angry- chill- You will be pleased that i will now not post for a while- as we all know its boring and the loud minority always dominate the silent majority- best to stay off for a while, have you ever thought of doing the same thing ? - not healthy to dominate 60% of your forums pages- no healthy to spend every hour of every day responding to posts- maybe people think you are really boring and you don’t need to have an opinion on everything-- anyway truly and honestly wish you no ill- hope you get promoted - like the bigot brothers you guys feel because of your size relative to others you have a special status - you don't, , but I am sure you even know that- but hey you guys could still get promoted , we have no chance to even stay in the league….now that is misery,,,,,don't worry you will get 3 pts next week
  16. As an occasional P&B poster who enjoys a bit of banter , i do visit other sites like your own- and you do identify those posters who remind you in the old days of “‘the drunk with the mike”. In the old days you could switch the mike off- sadly today social media means the loud can always speak. F-ck me Shadwell dog is like Frank at Raith, a sad case- he needs help- has he mad dog disease?- he dominates your forum-he is so into himself - he has absolutely no self awareness , he has no clue that the bitter things he says does not define those he derides, but defines him!- that every time he posts most sensible people probably sigh- can you know find a way to switch him off- even better help him? you as a team have your problems, you have a manger who really only managed. Under 21’s and that might be an issue for you- but however big your problems nothing compared to ours!!
  17. Look , in the football world the buck stops with the manager- but I hear what you say- something is not right, or put it another way, the manager is not the only one who has not performed this year. The last 3 /4 years have been the best football and excitement I have seen in a number of years. - beating our neighbours regularly, beating teams in league above regularly. We cannot ignore that Darren was the manager during that time. Yet i get of late things are poor and even during those 3/4 years we probably could of done better. What is without question though is Darren can sign players, he knows a good player and we have evidence of that.Yet this year the signings have been really , really poor- is that because of the budget available? We have a shocking shareholder structure- and at times I wonder staying in league 1 is a nice to have , rather than a must have for some, certainly our key shareholders( again understand the directors position re hands strung re shareholding!)- anyway football is unfair- DY will likely be the casualty, but he is not the only culprit! ps actually thought we played a lot better on Saturday
  18. Genuinely sorry to hear that. A good player, who came to us on loan for a short period after he had been out injured for a while at Hearts, I think with a knee injury. He seemed to recover well so wish him a speedy recovery.
  19. Look we all know we are in trouble. Over the past 3/4 years we have lost important players to us; long Meggatt Watson Agnew Dowds Wallace and it feels we have not replaced them with the same character and quality. Add to the mix, King Kev is older and Dunnsy has lost his mojo. Add to that we have sustained long term injuries to Davidson Swanson Murdoch( until recently)- all key players. You could argue we are unlucky, cursed or bad management. Firing the manager now feels like the last resort( unless he has lost the dressing room!). The only way we have a chance of survival is quality loans for the next 6 months for at least 3 players out of 4- a defender, a midfielder , a forward and if possible a goalie- from higher leagues that need game time, like Murdoch, Higginson, Morrison and Hamilton etc in the past. That is a big ask i know-but DY has found good loans in the past. If we want to survive in this league we need to do something dramatic like this in the next 14 days , as I fear the current pool will unfortunately take us to relegation.!
  20. We have been poor at set pieces now for a number of seasons- but this is a new low!Whilst many of us have Believed we have always needed to get a strong centre half- the change in our goalkeeping performances have also greatly contributed to this new low. There is nothing positive at all to take from yesterday. We are certainly in a relegation battle at best this year- a long season ahead…..
  21. Time will tell- will be interesting to see How Ruth performs at Falkirk( wish him well except against us) Vs Dowds at Arbroath- if Campbell gets him playing like old days at EF ( and unlike others on this forum Campbell rates him and he is doing a remarkable job re man management)will be interesting debate…but Agree days at Falkirk probably over- mind you with the two wingers you guys play who never pass the ball early and feel its all about their stats- Harry Kane wouldnt get 15 goals ….but hey time will tell…
  22. Agreed but manager must also on this occasion be credited for changing things in the second half- we looked like a different team in the second half…
  23. Has anyone an idea when those 3 are likely to be back? Those 3 and the absentee! Would walk straight into our team and make a huge difference.!
