  1. Aberdeen should remain at a crumbling stadium with mounting maintenance costs and no scope to renovate at an affordable cost to suit away fans? Really? For avoidance of doubt, I'm of the opinion then club should have done more to renovate Pittodrie decades ago, before it was boxed in. I know for a fact that the City Centre is in gridlock on a match day. People trying to guess what will happen in 4 years have decided Kingsford will be gridlocked.
  2. The club estimate 68 different journeys using 42 buses. In regards to Dyce, the first bus will leave station/park and ride 2.5 hours before the game. The rest will be staggered throughout. I'd imagine this will be based on the fact some folk will want to head to the stadium bar early doors etc. Rather than the 7 buses making staggered trips, they'd likely all be leaving the stadium at roughly the same time. Some may be leaving the stadium a bit later so fans can stay back and use the facilities post match. Makes sense to me?
  3. Pittodrie must see the lowest away team attendance in the top league. Are the club really supposed to tailor a stadium move to suit away fans? Surprisingly enough, I've never had to travel to Pittodrie on an away supporters bus but can't imagine it's an enjoyable experience either before or after the game as the City Centre is in near gridlock.
  4. I've never had the pleasure. I'd be amazed if any bus didn't stop in Stonehaven for a couple of hours anyway.
  5. I've never been on a football bus that I've not been able to drink on. Not once. Craigkillie is entitled to class that as his ideal scenario, as are you. It doesn't mean its the best scenario for everyone else though.
  6. I'm absolutely certain there will be a plan in place to stop folk parking in their streets. The club said as much. Will be amazed if the club don't have access to the business car parks in the area though. Quite a lot of fans like going to games by bus, because buses are far better.
  7. Good to hear. I know the guy he was lodging with up here. Didn't sound too good for him regarding a deal a couple of months ago.
  8. The club did put out a comprehensive plan for shuttle buses in 2017. I preferred not to link it as I'd then be criticised for posting a 2 year old link. The club released a brochure regarding the clubs future the other day. May be a PR fluff piece but it does state they'll be sharing a lot more information going forward.
  9. As you say yourself, it's four years away. There could be twenty pubs on the doorstep of the stadium with no guarantee they'll still be running in 4 years. Cost has risen, but so did the cost of the training ground as the club decided they wanted a hybrid pitch. They've raised the costs of the training in two years. I'm confident they can find teh investment for the stadium, along with a manageable debt which was always the plan. Running a supporters bus up the road will now be a far more attractive (and cheaper) option too.
  10. Sam Roscoe is expected to get another year at Pittodrie. I'd read good things about him during the start of his time at Alloa but looks like he was out of the squad or on the bench for the tail end of the season. Was that down to injury or a loss of form?
  11. What has been debunked? Show me one post where this has been comprehensively debunked that isn't a poster giving an opinion that the pubs in the area wouldn't like a football crowd. I've not admitted anyone is parking. Some will park. Some will get dropped off. Some will get the shuttle bus. Some will walk in from their homes in the area. Sweeping statement at the end as you've no argument. Aberdeen in general has poor transport links. 4 years is plenty time for something to be organised for other means though. If the stadium was opening tomorrow your argument would have merit.
  12. The Kingsford part is exactly what is wrong with your statement. Particularly as the area in which folk would be parking and walking a 'mile or so' is not dodgy at all. There is several pubs in the surrounding areas and there will be a supporters bar at the stadium.
  13. Can't really grudge any player making the move for money really. Probably not a reach to say we'd have finished comfortably third and maybe even pushed for second if we had him fully fit, Shinnie and Ferguson as our midfield three.
  14. Quite ironic that the order in which club he should have been at was probably Hibs Aberdeen Sunderland Yet it's flipped on his head when money becomes a factor.
  15. There was an article in the Record with a local journalist in Sunderland giving his opinion on McGeouch. More or less said he's not built for playing in League One but would do a better job in the Championship. I'm certain he'll be back up in Scotland on loan next season. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/whats-happened-dylan-mcgeouch-sunderland-14032350
  16. Using domestic abuse for point scoring. We all know how you react when the **** do it regarding Celtic Boys Club etc.

  18. He'll likely go where he's told. Lampard doesn't seem to think he is ready for the fist team there yet.
